*Captain Rivers paced around the command deck of the Darkwing, watching everybody's stations intently. The power was down to 50%. Rivers looked up at the viewscreen, watching the shadow of the Romulan Warship wander around, looking for them. The Darkwing was nestled behind a large asteroid, small pieces of debris floating around in space both from the damaged Darkwing, and the Romulan warship. The acrid smell of smoke and flame curled up Rivers' nostrils. An ensign looked up at him*

Ensign: Sir, they're moving away

Rivers: Wait ensign, wait...

Barney Calhoun stood at his console, growing impatient, his finger hovering over the fire button.He looked up at the viewscreen and saw the romulans growing ever closer, and weapons systems becoming more unstable

"Sir...do i need to remind you of our situation?the longer we wait the less power the weapons have!"

Lieutenant Jim Russ looked up from the operations. “We are losing power to the shields. If we take another beating we may lose the forward emitters and I don’t think we want that to happen.” Jim looked at the readout and saw that a power build up on deck 5 was growing. “Also sir, were reading a power build up on deck 5, I think it’s a EPS conduit that got damaged during the last assault.”

"Not yet sir, this is still in experimental stage. If it fails, we could alert the Romulans to our presence, We have a 75% chance of the cloaking failing, and overloading every system. Shall we try to make our chances better or go with our slim chance of this working?" Terra asks Rivers as she taps away at the screen in front of her.

"i'm fixing the circuits, can't you see?"
"what i see is that you're screwing it up, you moron! never learned at tech lessons at starfleet academy that you should ALWAYS isolate power buildups?"
"i get out of my way, i can't reach that panel"
"no."
"you know ensign... i could let you be arrested for obstructing your superior's job..."
"you know that i could just shut down the circuit..."
*the ensign flicks the switch, and the discharge that occurs fries petty officer Tompson's brain*

-V-ensign Mallor to bridge. power buildup isolated and eliminated. will need new circuit unit and new petty officer, but that can be fixed-V-

*Rivers strode over to his chair. He paused for a moment, thoughtfully, then sat down*

Ensign Mallor, overload circuits 23b and 25a

Helm, I want a short blast of energy when those two circuits go, push us out of here, make it look like we're dead. Tactical, detonate a torpedo 300m to our rear, that should add to the effect. On my mark.... mark!

*There was a quick flash of energy and an explosion, and the Darkwing started drifting out into space. The romulan ships quickly maneuvered into postion, but waited, to see what would happen*

"Sir, what should we do? The Romulans are most likely going to scan the ship for any sign of life." Terra stated as she tapped the screen in front of her, keeping an eye on the status of the main systems.

"everyone okay?"
*Mallor pulls on protective gloves, walks over to the still smoking circuits and pull them out of the casing. he rummages in some boxes, but seems he can't find what he searches.*
"anyone saw some standard circuits 57X?"
"yeah here!"
"thanks!"
*he grabs two of the circuits and places them in the three empty casings.*
-V- circuits replaced sir, starboard scanners functioning again, warp stability scanners back online -V-

"Sir, I'm going to have to shutdown all unnecessary systems to power the shields to maximum effectiveness and engines to get us out of here in one piece, or shall I try the cloaking mechanism?" Terra asks hurriedly, watching the screen to make sure no main system was damaged.

*on impact the shields totally fail and the ship is hit on the side*
"oh Sh-"
*an open circuit on engineering sparked, and Mallor would have lost an eye if he didn't duck in time. he picks a particle from his shirt*
"darn, burning sparks don't look good on red"

*he inspects the circuit and the ship damage control panel*
-V- some minor damage on starboard side, didn't go through armour. shields down. internal damage minimal -V-

"oh, by the way, everyone okay?"
"no, darn, my arm is bleeding"
"oh, if that's all, nevermind... blood looks good on red"

"terra, i think even that wouldn't be enough. if we would shut down the life support for an hour, i think we should be able to make it, but it's only just within the safety margins..."

"Roger that. Sir, I might have an idea as to how we can make our situation better. I can try and get us out of here. Sitting here in this asteroid field does not make for good survival chances. I can shut down life support and reroute the power to the engines." Terra asks Rivers as she taps away at her station.

Engage cloaking device, divert all power to the warp core! Engineering, try to squeak out one warp jump for me please!

*Rivers fell to the ground as the ship lilted to one side, after just being barraged by disrupter fire*

We have no choice, warp speed now!

"Roger that. I am going to try and get us out of here. Sitting here in this asteroid field does not make for good survival chances. Shutting down life support and rerouting the power to the engines. Everyone, keep talking to a minimum. We must conserve the oxygen if we are to survive this encounter." Terra states as she taps away at the her at the station. Red lights go off as the life support shuts down. Terra continues to tap away, and the engines come online and the Darkwing takes off away from the battle. Two Romulans had fired and end up hitting each other.

"heh, have they never learned that ambushing something from opposite sides is a stupid idea?"

*grabs a brand new maglite and turns it on, bathing the room in light*
"where is my PADD? oh there."
*he connects it to the scanner circuit and turns of the screen*
-V- downloading data to PADD.... complete. ship holding, structure fine, 63 minutes of oxygen left, warp moderately stable. enemy too confused to track warp signature -V-

Lieutenant Polsky Yakolev, decendent of Alexander Yakolev, the fighter designer, was in the hangar, when fighters began exploding due to a perfect disruptor blast.

"D*mn! Those Romulans wrecked my hangar! Well, I'll show them!" He said, while he got into the prototype Yak-1000, and flew out to confront the Romulans.

*Johnson was still aboard the Romulan ship, wondering how he got there. Suddenly two Romulans walked toward him with a strange helmet-like device.* "here, transport to that ship, b*stard!" However, the ship was at warp so he could not go back as he ran to the bridge of the craft.

-V- 43 minutes oxygen, but we're out of enemy scanner range now sir. warp core energy output gradually increasing and stabilisng again. i think we can safely slow down and restart life support now, captain. -V-
*ensign Mallor shines his maglite over everyone in engineering and checks everyone, and sees somebody holding her wrist*
"hey, you okay?"
"no, i hurt my wrists when i fell on some boxes when we got hit"
"let me look at that... does this hurt?"
"OUCH, yes!"
"i guess it's broken... you should go to the medical, can you do that by yourself?"

"Sir, we are slowing down, and I'm already working on restarting the life support. While I'm doing that, can we get some mechanics to try and repair the ship?" Terra asks as she pushes a few buttons and the Darkwing slows and the red lights stop flashing as life support comes back.

*Johnson now has full control of the Rom ship. He has closed off the bridge and is the only one on it. He now is trying to find the Darkwing.*

*after sending the injured to medical unit, Mallor checks the energy flow diagram of the ship. he jumps on one of the consoles and reaches for a panel in the ceiling. he undoes it, grabs the edges of the hole, and pulls himself up, disappearing into one of the many ducts leading through the ship. he crawls through the duct till the place where it crosses one of the power lines and pulls out a panel*

"ah, there you are, you little dork!"
-V- shutting down energy flow to sector 21 for repairs -V-
*he pulls out a section of the thick cable and disconnects it. he crawls back and drops in on the floor*
"look what these disruptor blasts did to my nice brand new power line! i'm going to get a new one!"
*he goes to the spare parts storage room, and a minute later he comes back with a new one. he installs it and puts the panels back*
-V- power to sector 21 restored. warp core output at 100% again. -V-

Me and my team were running in the direction of the 10 forward... There was reported an explosive device nearby the 10 forward...
"Ok" Said I while shutting down the forcefield... "Ok, lets get inside"
And me and my team entered inside and I start scanning the device with my tricorder... The bag had a type three explosive, capable of making the Darkwing exiting warp...
"Bridge, here is the three forward!" Said I "We have a type three explosive on the 10 forward!"

"all essential systems running except weapons. phaser banks have been damaged in that darn asteroid field, but somebody has to get outside to fix that. bad idea during warp. internal anti-EMP shields aren't quite stable though, but we're working on that."

That would be nice Terra, except how do we explain ourselves to a spacedock. Remember, we don't exist, we have no help from anybody. And I still want to double back to be certain, Romulans have a way of being able to find things.
