Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
I'll be optimistic if I'm optimistic, which I'm not so I won't be, I was optimistic back in the good ol days, look where it got me, nowhere!

yeah, others here don't seem so keen on starting topics

I was negative in the good ol days, look where it got me, to a place where I'm positively snarky and it gets me everywhere!

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
well good for you. Being optimistic fills one with false hope and sets them up for disappointment and betrayal in my opinion
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
I'm not arguing with you about this dude. We all know your views on it.

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Ok, just sounded like you were by saying how you were pessimistic and it got you to being snarky which gets you everywhere
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Oooooohhhhh. No, sorry. I'm positive and snarky. Now THAT gets you everywhere. It's like having the best of both worlds!

Sorry, me supporting you would be like enabling. I can't, in good conscience, support such horrible negativity!

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Ha ha, that's quite OK. I'm quite used to the concept of me being different in opinion from everyone else. If it helps ease your conscious at all, I would be more optimistic if i had actual proof as to why I personally should be optimistic. So far, I haven't much. Sure there's reasons perhaps for others to be optimistic, but not me. If you could see things the way they're seen through my eyes, you'd understand and if you say that you can or do understand then I'll know you're lying
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
So, basically you're saying that your social facade is just part of a lifelong game of devil's advocate? That almost sounds fun!
-------------------------------------------------
I should write "Negativity" on a piece of paper, smear poop all over it, take a picture, and post it here for DW to see.
See, a negative person would say something like "OMG LOOK AT THAT NASTY SHIT! WHO WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!"
And a positive person would say something like "Look at this wonderful piece of art! Hey, and you can tell he had corn for dinner! Amazing!"

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Exactly, I don't see life through your eyes so I don't really understand why you're pessimistic about everything. And you don't see life through my eyes, so you don't see why life is so great and stuff!

Well I laughed at that, so I dunno what that makes me. Twisted perhaps
As for the emotions bit, I suppose it might be something like that, I just don't put much value in emotions, they're too subjective with no real purpose it would seem other than to get people into trouble

What about love? It makes no sense whatsoever, but it is necessary for a human to survive.
In other words, love seems like an illogical unnecessary capability, but in reality why is it a necessity?
Some food 4 thought ay?

The only thing that even comes close to love for me is my family, but there's a biological/chemical reaction involved here, so I'm not sure if we want to qualify that or not

Yeah, it does really help when a bunch of people are logged on and we all have this massive conversation like we did. Oh wait, can't be a conversation because according to Data, it's just text, my mistake.

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
I used to eat dried dates at school, and told everyone at my table that they were imported elephant turds. They actually believed me though!
But, I did happen to sit with some kids that weren't all there, if you know what I mean... Hey, they didn't have any friends.

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Very serious. I mean what, I'm Mr Anit-Relationship, so I'm not qualified and pretty much everyone else is teenagers. Though to be fair, a girl I know got engaged recently. She just turned 18 and doesn't graduate from high school until the summer.
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Pretty much. I mean I could be wrong, someone here *might* have some advice
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Don't. Like, no. Just no. Seriously, NOOUUUU. You're 14. There's a 100% chance she's going to tell you to sod off. Besides, even if she by some miracle said yes, you have your whole life in front of you, don't throw it away like that.

cause it's a far-fetched chance so I put more stress on the word. It's like using italics
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Thingy she said that she wanted to be with me forever so i started thinking.
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Well I do agree, 14 is very early...unless it were Shakespearean times, in which you'd be getting too old to marry
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
I am 15 next week so maybe now is a good time. I Can't until the 20th.
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Actually, you'd be too old to be alive. Everyone would think you're immortal for surviving basicly eating shit, breathing shit and shitting on a pile of shit where everyone else shits. If you live in the city, at least.
Also, you'd still throw your life away. Wait till you're like 25-30 before you marry someone.

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Well, generally, it's good to wait till after you're 20 because there's more maturing you do between 15 and 20, so what seems like a good idea now, may just be an impulsive teenage hormone reaction. After 20 though is generally the ages in which maturity begin to set in and you start to see the bigger picture better. Massive emphasis on the word usually. Some people never mature
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Autistic or not, there's still general life experience that comes with age
