Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Another thing i love about rain is how it cools you down. You don't even have to stand in it, it cools the air. It's especially great after you've had a few hot days. Even more so here in Sweden because few people have AC, which makes the abnormally hot streaks (which we've had a few of this summer) quite a pain. Hell, i remember not being able to get a package of ice cream from the store (like 5 minutes walking distance max) to here without the ice cream melting down completely.

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
what you go back tomorrow to bad for you ive got like another three weeks
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Sigh... I'm going back the 19th... Another year till i can go back to doing absolutely nothing.
But there's a good side to going back to school. The government will be giving me money for studying, 1050 crowns, and mom has decided to give me complete control over every single crown! It's not much, but it's alot better than asking mom for money every time i want to buy something, or go out (though i'll be relying on her to transfer the money to my bank account, since i won't get it on my bank account from the government till i'm 18...)

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
yeh the gov't here do that you get like £30 a week but only if your parents earn like under £15,000 a year so i dont get it
Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
The standard here is 105 Euro a month, and another 30-80 as a bonus if your parents earn less than 12,500 a year. Like i said, not much, but it's alot better than nothing. Should be enough for my entertainment needs.

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Nope, but if you skip school too much, you don't get paid anything. I think you need to be present in 70-90% of the lessons to get anything, and the first time you skip, you lose an entire month's payment.
This is what's so awesome with living in Sweden... The system works, really good. Not flawless, that's something i can testify to, but it's alot better than most others, and MASSIVELY better than the egyptian system... That thing's a fucking wreck in every way possible.

The reason I was ragging was I had a heated argument over face book with a relative of mine. Thank God she lives in another state and I don't have to put up with her crap a lot.

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
School started today... Apparently, i have to wait an entire year before i can actually start working on computers D: But, on the bright side, my Walkman 995 just arrived with the mail It's freaking awesome, i might do a review of it... But i don't know, i don't really have much experience with mobiles, or even MP3 players. Seeing as this is an MP3/mobile hybrid, some experience with that stuff might be a good idea.

Oh, a recommendation, for any of you who is remotely considering seeing Piranha 3D...DON'T. It is one massive waste of time. Now I know a lot of you will be turned on by the fair amount of boobs in this movie, but it's not worth buying a ticket for. There's plenty of free boobs on the internet. I haven't watched the whole movie, but I've seen enough of it. Do not pay to see it. It's just downright terrible. The acting is horrible, the whole thing overall is very corny, just yeah.

Yeah, um... you can just tell it's going to be horrible from the previews. I have no clue why people say it's good. And to be honest, there's probably not going to be a lot of good movies coming out for a while.

Not all of it. But if you like a lot of loud explosions and gunfire, you should love it! It looks pretty good to me though, but don't go in expecting like a great story or anything

Ebola is like the most dangerous virus in the world. It isn't classified, well, it has it's own class and stuff, I don't feel like remembering the names right now. Wasn't Ebola proven to came from Mars or the Moon or Space at least?

wat
The first outbreak of Ebola was in Africa. Unless you're saying monkeys are aliens then I don't see how Ebola can come from space.

No, I meant that it came from a meteorite and a monkey was next to it and the virus was on it. It happened before,

I'm not joking, it's happened before, a meteor or whatever hits the Earth, a virus is on it. A animal gets next to it, contracts the virus, and spreads it. And sometimes mutates, spreading to other animals and even Humans.

Oh god... It's like... killing me
How the fuck could a VIRUS survive all the protective shit around earth, FUCKING SPACE, AS IN AN ALL KILLING VACUUM, and then somehow survive the massive fucking fiery explodey impact, and then somehow infest an animal?
You've made my brain feel like it's made of hurt

I'm not joking, it's happened before, only once or twice. A meteor crashed and they found germs on it, and they believe it was from Mars, if the vacuum kills the bacteria, how come is there bacteria on Mars? Mars has no atmosphere.

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Mars does have an atmosphere, its small and does not support Life the requires Oxygen. Not only does the vacuum kill anything that might be on a meteor so does the heat from the fall through our atmosphere

Well, the virus can still survive, I never heard a meteor going ' white hot ', so I doubt it would kill the viruses that are inside and outside the meteor.

Re: New General Chat Mark Infinity
Uhhh, guys...
as crazy is he is...
he's actually sorta...
right.
I get that he has no idea what he's talking about. I know that it sounds like a B-movie's plot in 50 words or less. And I'm aware of science involved. But yessss, certain microbes can survive space. And if earth microbes can survive space, space microbes should be able to do it too.
Sorry, I just had to play devil's advocate...
On the other hand, It's ridiculous to expect that any random microbe that could surve those conditions could also thrive inside a complex multi-cellular terrestial vector (animals and plants we come into contact with.)
Even more insane to think that it would automatically be antagonistic to us. It could be symbiotic like many of the trillions of microbes in you right now. Or most likely, it could be based on fundamentally different chemistry than us, and thus incapable of even interacting in any way with us, positively or negatively.
And still more insane to think that a one in ten-trillion asteroid ejecta would cross the gulf between life-bearing worlds. The closest extra-terrestrial planet is... oh, that's right we haven't even found one, let alone one within "walking distance," say three or for light years. And do I need to remind you how empty space is? The chances of it hitting us is probably negligable, something on the order of one in ten-trillion-quadrillion. So, I'm pretty sure africa was not hit by a space virus laden meteorite.
And lastly, EBOLA IS NOT FROM EFFING SPACE! Wouldn't it be, virtually impossible to kill if it was? Wouldn't it be able to infect (conservatively)every single effing mammal on the planet? Wouldn't it IDK, survive irradiation?
DID "EBOLA=SPACE PLAGUE" REALLY MAKE SENSE?!!
REALLY??!!!
EDIT----
Fast Fact:Most meteorites don't actually reach very high average temperatures. The meteor starts off around four degrees from absolute zero (less than -450 degrees Fahrenheit) and a great deal of the heat is ablated away as the exterior melts. These factors combined with the short duration of heating and poor thermal conductivity of meteorites (ferrous asteroids heat up more) means that the inside stays at subzero temperatures all the way to the ground. So, don't touch newly fallen meteors, you'll either freeze your hand off, or burn it off.
Oh, and BTW, there have been no discoveries involving extra-terrestrial life. None. Not a few, not one or two. None. As in "we know off no life off of earth's small blue globe" none.

Okay, he might have been right on one thing, some life forms can survive an exposure to the conditions in space, but everything else he said was retarded. I mean, FUCKING SPACE EBOLA?! That's got to be litteraly the most stupid thing i've ever heard. Or this ridicilously improbable thing happening several times before? Not as bad as space ebola, but still wanted me to hit myself on the head with a massive sledge hammer.
