Well, I won't be surprised if they don't start throwing the bros in Russia in prison within a few months or less.
Get ready to say hello again to the cold war days, as far as religious freedom in russia.
Let's just hope that it doesn't involve slave labor this time.

They put a ban on any school books saying bad things about stalin. Like that he killed a few million people because their shirts were the wrong color. You know, it's to be expected by now, they're still commies, just in disguise this time.

Yeah, I know.
It's not like they're going to stop us though.
They never have, never will.
"Any weapon whatever that will be formed against you will have no success, and any tongue at all that will rise up against you in the judgment you will condemn. This is the hereditary possession of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness is from me,” is the utterance of Jehovah." -Isaiah 54:17

Well... I now prefer Chrome... But would prefer using Netscape Navigator 1.0 to Windows Internet Explorer 8... Trully!
Re: General News/ Debate
I tried Netscape on my new laptop recently. It literally didn't work- not even startup of the program.

Re: General News/ Debate
ha ha, i remember netscape back on the old 98s. and I use FF all the time, except for credit card transactions, most sites don't like FF fo credit card transactions, for that I need IE or Safari if I'm on the mac, except, I think I can do credit card stuff on FF on the Mac
Re: General News/ Debate
Chrome doesn't have the addon population like Firefox. If it did, it would have the potential to become better than firefox.JPB18 wrote:Terra Shadows wrote:They've never had the chance to take it out till now?

Yeah, what the heck is up with stupid bank sites? Do they like, have a deal with crackersoft that says "we will only allow our customers to use internet crapsplorer to access our website"?Darkwing wrote:ha ha, i remember netscape back on the old 98s. and I use FF all the time, except for credit card transactions, most sites don't like FF fo credit card transactions, for that I need IE or Safari if I'm on the mac, except, I think I can do credit card stuff on FF on the Mac

Well, true, if Chrome had the same addon comunity as FF, it would end up being the best browser out there...
And IE/Banks issue: Not here, I can go to every bank website as long as I have a browser in a pc
Re: General News/ Debate
In america it is hard to find an internet bank that doesent make it so you use Internet Crapsplorer so that people can take you money?
Re: General News/ Debate
No, just every once in a while you'll encounter a site that hates you.
My new bank's website likes firefox, but my old one was a hater.

Re: General News/ Debate
Yeah, he did help save several people. But he doesn't talk about it much. He said that they had to do a few amputations, and that one of them was one a little kid that was only 9. Left leg, gone.
I guess it's hard to talk about the people that you've helped save, when the ones you've helped won't have much of a life anyways.
Heck, they have to live there!
Anywho, here's some pics:
Packaging rice for people with no food
One of the supply trucks
The waiting room, not what the typical one looks like, right?
Breakfast for the bros. RBC food rocks!
Makeshift beds on the kingdom hall floor.

But yeah, this world will go down before the Big Guys do something... Lets build a rocket, and run away people! We need to get out of this planet if we wanna live!
Now, back to VB.Net, were I'm mocking my head about databases...

Re: General News/ Debate
Yeah, time to start digging into terraforming technology.....
VB.Net? Good step! But, I really want to see what happens to you when you leap into C++. Now that, would be funny.
(Most people give up on C++, mostly because of it's sheer complexity)

Well, JP is decently experienced. I think he could survive it, if the circumstances permit.
Re: General News/ Debate
Well... my programing teacher says that, probably we would learn Visual C# and C++... And PHP is what we call a "net language"... I believe it does manage "in server" web applications...
Re: General News/ Debate
Yeah, that's what it does. And that why I don't suggest it, unless you plan to start building websites.

Re: General News/ Debate
yet another disaster in string of em, when will they stop? ive noticed its moced from the south asia area to the central, south american areas, australia might be next but not with a earthquake, new zealand was on tsunami alert so i say it's fair bet that queensland, new south whales and victoria should be prepared just in case

Also, his taste in music should be enough to give him a fine for having appallingly bad taste. Maybe some slapping around while the cops are at it.

Personally, I think the cartoonist brought it upon himself to a certain extent.

Re: General News/ Debate
Well, I would need to see the cartoon, but something similar happened a few years ago. The middle east is too harsh on their beliefs sometimes, they're not willing for someone to depict something of theirs without them trying to kill the artist. Something that has caught my eye is the slaughter of 500 Christians in Nigeria, anyone else see this?
Re: General News/ Debate
Yep. In reprisal for killings of Muslims a few weeks ago. But apparently it's not all about religion, but about bigwigs trying to extend their control by inciting violence.

Re: General News/ Debate
that's ultimately what it is about. It's not so much a religious conflict, it's just masked in religion. It's like Bush attacking Iraq for oil and saying it's in the name of fighting terrorism. The middle east has been fighting for the land for thousands of years, I think it's quite past the point of religion. The head honchos probably indoctrinate their soldiers in religion, so the soldiers believe it's in the name of religion and so they will fight more fiercely
Re: General News/ Debate
In my opinion, Villks and DN (Dagens Nyheter, The Daily News)are both heroes. He didn't make that caricature just to insult Muslims, he made it to liven up the debate around free speech. People should be able to say whatever they want about whoever, or whatever they want (though the ''don't scream fire in a theater'' example is a limit). Now, i do the ''artists'' who make caricatures with, say, the prophet mohammed wearing a turban with a bomb hidden in it just to piss muslims off are idiots. But i'm glad they have the right to do it.
As Voltaire said, I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
Edit- Voltaire didnt say that... It's actually his attitude summed up in a book. What he really said was
''Monsieur l'abbé, I detest what you write, but I would give my life to make it possible for you to continue to write.''
It's from a letter sent to Monsieur l'abbé.

That right is limited... You are not allowed to say things that will hurt someone in someway, when they are around... but... as most laws in the U.S go, most have some sort of contradiction placed on them... ._.

Re: General News/ Debate
It's obviously a bad thing to do, but i still think there shouldn't be any restrictions on what you say, as long as it doesnt have a high risk of hurt someone physically or jeopardize the safety of nation. Like revealing a secret document without the government's approval or leaking secret information to another party.
I dont think the US government agrees, since you can sue someone for slander. But that's my personal opinion. I didn't say it was a right in the US. Or even here.
