Well, it's my personal circumstances that have stimulated this.

Ah, well, you all know my stance on the matter. So question for you then, is it you're getting love, or having it taken away that has sparked his for you?

True. In my case at least.

I'm not really lonely in the normal sense. I have good friends and everything. We enjoy each others company, have very compatible humor and we spend a lot of time together but you can't really share your feelings and burdens with them the same way as with your significant other. You won't get the same kind of affection or closeness either.

But i don't know, maybe i just enjoy affection and closeness more. I was kind of spoiled by my aunts, grandma and even my parents when i was a kid. Got an absolute shitload of affection from them all the time up till the day we went to Sweden (maybe because they're all women, and my dad wasn't really interested in making me a stereotypical manly man? Hell, he even supported me when he found out i like playing with barbie and ken dolls). Almost treated me with the same affection normally reserved for girls in Egypt.

But then again, it isn't exactly a life or death thing. Or a utter misery or utter happiness thing either. I can make without love, i just think it would be better with. So that statement is only partly true.

Thingy's the type of person that wraps his arms around himself and turns back on in a mirror, making it look like he's making love to himself Very Happy

No life without love?

Love, as in a significant other, no. One can survive, and be happy as a single man. It might be hard to adjust, but it can actually become a blessing. I mean, think of all the crazy things you could do as a single man that a non-single man couldn't do.

Just make sure you have lots of friends and you'll be fine.

(DW's probably the most knowledgeable on this subject here.)
