Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
have you seen the trailer yet and read about it? i think it has the potential to do well
Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Not really, but I just already know that everyone and their mom is going to be either a Jedi or a Sith.
Don't forget the hordes of xxxRevanxxx's and Anakinzzzzz that will undoubtedly permeate the whole game.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
well, that's just users idiocy, the game itself looks to be [retty good, and the game is about jedi vs sith, so it would make sense that the majority of users would be sith, i'll find the trailer and post it though
Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
I'm not going to lie, that looks amazingly well-done. Still, the intelligence level of players generally dictates how much fun a game is, no matter how well-designed the game is.
Not to mention my computer doesn't stand a chance of running that game. Bah.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
well, i'm not going to play, you know, subscription and all that, but it looks cool, and it's not the game designer's fault if users make it and bum to play, then it just comes down to the idiocy of the human race
Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic

I'm still doubtful about the SW one though, as it will get a bit boring. And its not likely to have a bridge commander aspect like STO will have.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Well, there could be a space battle part. But it'll probably fail, one important thing about MMOS is crafting and equipment, it doesnt look like it will have either of that. It might look like it's a bunch of avatars hitting other avatars/ npc's with clubs and the one with the biggest club wins, but it's more advanced than that. Kind of...

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Nah, wow's not too boring and repetitive. You can do alot of quests, craft and most importantly, explore. Although there's alot of ''stay in one spot and kill 90000 goddamn boars to get to the next crappy level'' parts.

Or Deliver A to B and then see C quests, or Talk to A, find A-Z then talk to A again.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Yeah, gotta love fedex quests... But when you reach a high enough level and have a good mount, you can explore the world. And it's awesome, no place is like the other and they put alot of detail into culture and terrain. I hope they do the same with the planets so it wont be ''endor clone, tatooine clone and coruscant clone 10x''.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
you guys all seem quick to judge here. read up on it. i don't know much about MMOs, but from what i've read about TOR, it's a new engine that essentially allows player freedom of the galaxy, and wars and things. i'm just saying give things a chance before you doom them to failure. it's a good lesson to learn in life anyways, and if you;re going to do it to a simple game, then i'd hate to see what you'll be like in real life!
Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Again with hacker tools DJ..
And all I'm saying is that i hope it isn't WoW all over again in quests.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
The Old Republic looks like it's going to be insanely awesome. From what I hear I think it has a bit of a Fable 2 aspect, like sometimes when you make a decision you can, as the producers said, "blow it big time." There's supposed to be a lot of stuff in it, and it looks more diverse than any other game I've played.
