Borrego: Photons exhausted!
Me: Energy reading!
Borrego: Phaser energy down to 10 percent, defense blasters are eating at the energy consumption
*Rivers did some quick math in his head. Great, five minutes until complete weapons depletion and total power loss. Suddenly, Rivers had an idea*
This battle is unwinnable, there's no point in fighting any longer. If we run out of power, we lose. Open a comm channel to the Shadow!
*Terra's face appeared on the viewscreen. Even the elegant bridge of the Shadow was beginning to be scorched and battle damaged*
Terra: Its getting bad, how about you?
Me: We're out of photons and we're almost out of energy. We're dead in five minutes or less. I have an idea though. The reason this attack is working is because of this messed up timeline business. Berges was able to gather forces from several time eras is my guess, and he's striking now because the galaxy is at a technological low. It's an easy win for him, strike in the past and the future doesn't exist
Borrego: Energy down to three percent! Transferring from all systems including life support!
*A beam exploded off of the top of the bridge. RIvers dived out of the way as it crushed his command chair.*
Me: Terra, our only option is to do the same, put us in a fighting position
Terra: How?
Me: Fire your time discharge, you were about to, so that you could send us back, but what if you fired one and sent this whole fleet into another timeline, say maybe the future, like 3000ad or something. At least there we could fight them on equal levels, the Federation must be huge by then, and the tech more advanced. This is our only option!
Borrego: Imminent power failure in one minute!
Terra: But the energy output of the time discharge, transporting this many ships, we could all be destroyed!
Me: It's our only option! Do it!
*The viewscreen blacked out and lights deactivated*
Borrego: Transfered all non-essential power, we have thirty seconds before complete failure
Me: All hands, this is Captain Rivers. Brace for impact and say your prayers!
Borrego: Five seconds!
*Rivers clenched his hands around a console. He looked back to Borrego*
Rivers: Was nice knowing you!
Borrego: Complete power failure.....now.....
