Episode 4

Terra giggles and pulls in Mallor.
"Not that. Come here little Mesarin. Come meet your father."
Mesarin, a little male vixen, comes up and hugs Mareuki.

"no, i said. i was the first officer, though i was acting as captain because the captain, berges, was off-duty and never came to the bridge. strange man indeed, but i have grown to trust him."

"Hmmmm... That's strange you know... I almost hitted yor bridge twice, if it wasn't the frakking deflector shield..." Said I... "Oh well... I know what you're doing here... You're being interrogated, but how have you ended on that ship... Are you a Jem'Hadar or something?"

*enraged* LOOK AT ME!? WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM!? IM A VORTA FOR DARN SAKE! and what ship? this one? that b*stard mallor captured me. the dominion one? i was assigned to it by... well i cant tell you, actually.

"Sorry... I did joined starfleet after the Dominion Wars... I was a baby while they were decorring... And I was not very good on Alien Biology... Got an E" Said I... "But really... Are those guys trying to enter in war against the federation one more time?"

"not enter in war. destroy it. we seek revenge. the dominion assigned us to study the darkwing. we knew from past humans we interrogated about almost everyone that walks her decks. however, some of them lied. from what i can see, this is not a federation ship nor is anyone on this ship alligned to the feds. oh and ever wonder how your friends and family mysteriously disappeared along with everyone else who knew about the darkwing? part us, part... another race. we're not sure who. they wanted to kill them, we wanted to interrogate them and thenkill them. and we succeded. most of them didnt know much, though."

Borrego got rage up and holded Rotakon against a wall...
"What are you saying... The Dominion killed my family?" Throws Rotakon through the room sits in his bed and start crying...

"i dont know if it was the dominion or the other mysterious race. but i do remember a borrego being interrogated. he was the only one who tried to escape. his life ended with berges's little dagger. but i dont know of any other borregos.

*Still Crying*
"Ok... Note to yourself... step away of my path if you don't want to end up dead... because I'm going to anihalate those guys to stardust because of that..." Said I "How did that Borrego looked?"

"he was middle aged for a human, and he was very large. i would say about 6 foot 4, 260 pounds in earth measurements.

"That was my dad... " Said i while crying... "That was my dad..." He continued to cry... "Those Founders are gonna pay so much for that..."

nice, alternate subplot!

Borrego stoped crying... and then called the security...
"May you call Rivers, please?" Asked I...
"I will see what I can do..." Said the guard, who was a close friend of Borrego...

*The Darkwing exited warp in deep space. Rivers paced the bridge, he should have seen Mallor's move ahead of time, should of suspected he'd try and pull a stunt like shove him off the transporter pad. That plan was gone, time for a new one. With each passing moment, Rivers knew that his mission would become more dangerous, and that the fate of the galaxy rested on what he did next, though nobody knew it yet.*

Tact: Sir, we're receiving a distress call
Me: Us, out here?
Tact: It's a broadband signal, calling all ships in range
Me: Put it on
Tact: Aye sir
Distress Signal: This is the.... we are.... ience vessel...... large dominion..... heading...alpha centau.....ey have a large flee...............
Tact: That's it sir. FIt the description of our previous foe?
Me: I think so, what is Berges up to? Helm, set a course for Alpha Centauri
Helm: You know there'll be a dozen or more fed ships there too
Me: I know, but they'll need all the help they can get

*A guard came and whispered to Rivers. Rivers nodded to the guard, who left to go and bring Borrego to the bridge*

Me: Helm, engage maximum warp. All hands battlestations, red alert!

*The darkwing swerved to the side, then shot off to warp speed*

(PS, Terra and M, maybe leave the vixens out of this, unless perhaps you have a clever way of invlving them in this plot point)

Borrego was sitted on the brig when Rotakon asked him:
"What are you going to do?"
"With luck, I'm gonna send the Dominion into a civil war... With no luck, I'm gonna shove some torpedos into some Dominion Battlecruiser bridge..." Said I to him...
The Captain entered in the room...
"Sir!" While saluting from inside the force shield...

trust me, i'm not going back to get a fleet!


*The crew of the Darkwing was edgy. Still thirty minutes before they warped into the Alpha Centauri system, by then it may be too late. The weapons were primed, ready for action. The crew wasn't happy to have to deal with Berges in combat for a third time*

*The Darkwing warped into a blazing warzone. The starry sky above Alpha Centauri was lit up with thousands of pulses of energy,debris and smoke. Berges was pounding through the defense system, and rapidly taking out the Fed fleet. Rivers sat down in his chair*

Cover those ships! Transport survivors aboard! Tactical, load all torpedo tubes, aim for weapons systems FIRE!

*The Darkwing swooped in, covering some extremely damaged Fed ships. The Darkwing unleashed 50 or so torpedoes at the Dominion cruiser, pounding its shields. The cruiser spun around, and hit the Darkwing directly with several disrupter pulses. The shields weakened from the impact.*

Target their control bridge! Phasers focus energy on the shields, torpedoes on the bridge, fire at will!

*The Darkwing let of a continuous phaser beam, weakening the shields around the bridge, while the Darkwing fired several torpedoes. They barely missed the bridge, sending large scorches along the side of the command platform. The dominion cruiser brook off attack*

Tact: They're on the run!

ME: After them!

*The Darkwing chased after the cruiser, firing torpedoes whenever in range. The Darkwing was gaining, when suddenly, the cruiser came to an abrupt halt. Rivers looked up in surprise. Three dozen alien ships exited warp, mostly cardassian and dominion. They took up position around Berges ship. Another fleet of vessels warped in, Klingon in design. They flew past the Darkwing*

Me: What are they doing....

Tact: Sir, the klingons are opening fire on the fed ships!

Me: What?!?! I thought they were on our side!

Tact: Not any more!

*More Fed ships warped in. Things were getting ugly. Pieces of red hot metal floated in space, debris everywhere, phasers and torpedoes and wepoans fire were everywhere. Ships that weren't directly targetted, were hit in the crossfire*

Me: All about! All weapons armed! FIRE AT WILL!

*The Darkwing tore through the ships, hitting anything and everything in its path. The Darkwing was sustainging major damage*

Tact: Sir, shields down to 30, 10, shields offline!

*Rivers looked at the viewscreen, cursing under his breath, as more ships of all types joined in the battle. It was impossible to determine who was on which side, and it looked like nobody was going to win. Rivers fell out of his chair, as the Darkwing sustained a direct hit in the primary hull, consoles erupted, sparks flew, smoke was everywhere. It was a civil war!*

(oooh, possible design for new game or bm mod) *the hits the darkwing was taking was making the forcefield lose energy. with a bang from a torpedo, the forcefield was no more. rotakon ran out of the brig, knocked out a security officer and took his phaser, then ran full speed toward the transporter room.*

Borrego entered the bridge... and turned to the tactical officer:
"You, clear the console... it's time for me to take the revenge back to the Dominion..." Said I
The captain turned to me and asked...
"Did you enjoyed your relax time?"
"Yes, sir... thank you for getting me out of that brig..." Said I... I putted my hands on the console and started pointing to the bridge of the nearby enemy ship...

*rotakon arrived at the transporter room, barely online. he stunned the ensign working it and killed a security guard who had a bad aim. he the set the transporter to a 5 second delay to the dominion ship and re routed all power to it. once on the dominion ship, he ran to the bridge*

Three quantum torpedos were fired against the Dominion ship, hitting their shields right over the bridge...
"Enemy shields are under 70%... Gonna fire another round..."
As the Darkwing was running away from the cruiser, Borrego fired a huge volley of 25 quantum torpedos against the cruiser, making their shields go down an destroy a good part of their hull...
"Enemy hull integryty is at 40%... a few more hits and they're done..." Said I...

Tact: Sir, someone's accessed the transporter!

*Rivers yelled out a quick curse word. He fell to the side as the Darkwing took more of a beating*

Helm: Sir, hull integrity down to 45 percent!

Me: Helm, find us a way out of here!

Helm: Aye sir!

*The Darkwing pulled some tight moves, but too many ships were in the way, and the hull was weakening due to exxecisive beating*

Helm: Sir, I can't find a way out into space

Me: Then take us into the planet! All ahead full!

*The Darkwing crashed a vessel, splitting the other vessel into two. The crew fell back, and Rivers struggled to his feet*
Helm: Almost there sir!

*The Darkwing broke out of the mess of ships, and hit the atmosphere head one. The hull started heating up rapidly*
Me: Pull us up!

Helm: I can't! Controls are jammed!

*The forward hull started peeling back, melting in the extreme heat*

Me: Try and angle us a little better, reduce as much friction as possible!

Helm: Aye sir!

*The Darkwing fell out of the atmosphere, into a bustling city of Alpha Centauri*

Me: Helm, pull up,quick!

Helm: Controls are still unresponsive!

Me: Engineering! We're losign helm up here, we need it back now!

Helm: Sir! Impact iminent!

*Rivers looked at the viewscreen in dread, as skyscrapers came in closer and closer, faster and faster*

Helm: I can't slow down!

*A business man was walking towards his office. He had just signed a very important deal, one that would make him rich on every alien planet he was sure. He sat in his big chair, feeling very proud of himself. Unfortunately, his fortune was short lived, as he didn't see a very large starship heading right for his office...*

"Ohhh crap!" Said I " Captain, should we...?"

BRACE FOR IMPACT!

*The Darkwing hit the buildings with full force, glass splintering everywhere, and metallic beams crashing into each other. The whole bridge crew were thrown from their chairs, the effects of real gravity were causing extensive damage to the hull. A person hit the viewscreen and slid off into the background. *

ENGINEERING, WHERE'S THAT DAMNED HELM CONTROL!

*The property damage was amazing as the Darkwing tore through building after building, crumpling them like tin cans*
Engineering: Sir, helm control regained!

Me: Helm, straight up, ninety degrees, warp us out of here!

*The Darkwing suddenly regained balance, then shot straight up into the sky, the warp plasma energy burning a hole through several buildings straight to the ground. Rivers struggled to his feet and swiped some debris off of his chair and sat down*

Casuality report

"Well... I got my hand screwed!" Said I "Ouch... Receiving report from security office... 50 people with heavy injuries, 250 with moderate injuries, 200 with light injuries... 201 they mean! Ouch... "

Terra geared up in her royal combat armour and was aboard her ship. Kaliandra and Leia stood at their newly assign stations.
"Kaliandra, report the status of the fleet."
Kaliandra: We are all good to go. This is going to be one fun fight.
Leia: Still trying to reach the darkwing with the long range communicator... Don't know if they are getting it.
"Okay. Tell the fighters to scout out a good place to exit slipspace. Don't want to cut into a ship when we get out of slipspace."
Helm: Yes my Queen!
"Mallor, you ready?"

The destroyers and the Shadow jump into slipspace behind the fleet of ships. Several wings stayed behind with a couple of cruisers, spacestations and a defensive grid around the planet.

*Rivers looked up to Borrego*
Run down to sickbay and grab yourself a bandage, I think the rest of us up here are fine.

*Rivers had the long range sensors activated, and watched the battle from the distance, he started to murmering to himself*
What is going on, the klingons, they're on the fed's side, what happened, Berges must've paid them a visit....


Helm, set a course for Quo'nos, warp 4. All repair teams, get to work!

*Rivers sat down in his ready room. Debris was everywhere, and some of the lights had blown out. Rivers sat back in his chair and looked out of the window. He remembered the whole thing now. A protector, a guardian, no THE guardian! Rivers rubbed his eyes. He hadn't slept in who knows when. He rested his head back as he watched the stars. It would take several days to get to Quo'Nos at maximum warp, several weeks at the pace they were going. Rivers couldn't figure it out. The klingons on the side of the dominion. He found his mind drifting off to that day years and years ago. The rebellion in full force, the queen sitting on the thrown. The protector, standing guard, watching the rebellion in full force. A full out civil war. Civil war, civil war was back, and Rivers felt like he hadn't even finished the first one. What was Berges after, what was Rivers after? He had failed all those years ago, the protector failed, both fleeing to exile until time could forget. Mallor was there too. Mallor was the instigator, trickery, Mallor played his own game, at the risk of the queen, even now, even now...*

(BTW, I finally know what my mission was, and I know my ties to Terra and Mallor and the rest of the Vixens, but let's all just forget, cause things are headed in a very interesting direction if nobody else "remembers" things)

The fleet jumped in, the Shadow cutting through a Dominion cruiser as it exited slipspace.
"Told you."
-V- Fleet, this is your Queen. Leave the feds alone, but help them repel the Klingons and the Dominion-V-
A loud cheer was heard as the fleet engaged the forces above Alpha Centuari

"Helm, try to get a message to Rivers ASAP."
Helm: Aye aye, trying to send again.

*Rivers paced the observation deck. He hadn't been in here before, and it was really quite stunning, even with the shards of metal and broken pottery. The windows were enormous, and it felt like you were walking on space. This was the one place on a ship where you could guarantee that some artistic influence would be put. As he stared out at the stars streaking by, Rivers saw himself as a reflection. A solitary person. Rivers realized he never spent much time with anybody, heck, he didn't even have a first officer. It was customary to have a first officer, they made excellent confidants, but the bleakness of space made Rivers realize how truly alone he was. He turned and exited the room, a morsel of shame, but perhaps mostly regret....*

Helm: they are not responding.
"Send them a encoded message addressed to Rivers. Tell him the Alpha Centauri Situation is taken care off.. Most of the ships are either destroyed or incapable of moving and firing. Let's wait here and help the Feds rebuild."
Helm: Alright my Queen.

It had been several days, and repairs were going well. The cross of the Vixen and borg regeneration abilities made things much smoother, but some larger pieces like one of the damaged nacelles would have to be retrofitted at a space dock. Comm had been out for several days, and Rivers was anxious to intercept some Starfleet chatter. The Darkwing had made a grand approach, and by now, the Feds probably knew she was out here. On the other hand, the Fed's were probably tied up with more important things like Berges and an approaching civil war. Rivers looked back on all that had happened. The chances of Terra and Mallor ending up on the Darkwing was far to coincidental to be true. Rivers wondered what secrets the Admiral had taken to his death, why choose those two to be part of the crew. Then another thought struck Rivers, if they knew, both of them, why would they serve together, wouldn't they have killed eachother on sight. Mallor and Terra were a bad mix, very bad, too much history, including that night during the rebellion, the one were Rivers was exiled and captured. Surely Terra would have known about Mallor..... unless she had forgotten. Rivers had been made to forget, it was possible Terra had been and still was under the same influence of Mallor, he had always been a slippery one...

*berges took a hard hit at centauri and was in a critical but stable condition, so rotakon took command* clone: sir, we need to get a hold of the klingons more. they want to barter. me: fine. set a course. for qo'nos.

After some time, the damage done by the space battle above the skies of Alpha Centauri had been tended to and repaired. Terra waited on the command deck as an ensign rattled on about how much it would cost.
"Ensign, get back to work. I have no time for how much it will cost. We can cover it. Kaliandra, take over for me. I need to go lay down, and I want no disturbances." Terra walks back to her chambers and sits down. It had been some time since they sent their messages to the Darkwing. Terra thought something was wrong with the Darkwing's comm system. If so, they were about to get a flood of messages when it came back. Terra hated having to use pre-recorded messages.. but it was the only way to get it to Rivers. She sat on her bed and thought long and hard on what had happened... and fell quickly into sleep.

*a bit later the dominion ship entered qo'nos(as it was traveling much faster than the Darkwing). they hailed the planet and a klingon said to go directly to the capital to talk with the leader. the ship went into the atmosphere...*
