Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
Music, real life, trying to squeeze the ambition to work on Red Squad in amongst all the other projects I want to do, attempting to get a friendship back on track, work...pretty much the usual.
EDIT: And trying to find a new job.

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
I'm glad I'm not doing stuff with math lol.
DW, you should find some sort of new hobby. Something that gets you outside and lots of fresh air. Like golfing maybe?

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
I hate golfing, between being very bad at it, it being an expensive game to play, NS being 6 months in winter it always seems like and me just plain and simply not liking golf, yeah, I hate golf
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
Okay, scratch golfing off the list then.
I'm sure you can go fishing a lot! It gives you time to be introspective while just relaxing and not doing anything!

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
Some people are masochists.
I'm mostly busy with school. Math, the basics of how digital technology works (as opposed to analog technology. You know, ones and zeroes, been learning how to translate them to the decimal and hexadecimal systems and that shit), control technology (PLC's for this part of the course), the finer points of how electricity works (or, well, the finer points for first high school grade) and I've been thinking about learning basic coding so i have some background when Programming A starts next year.

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
I used to like badminton in PE class, but I wouldn't go out and do it on my own time
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
I also find it amusing how the second post of this thread turned it into a find a new hobby for Darkwing thread
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
I got it, you could sit in front of the computer all day and make Midnight work, or instead, if thats not gonna work for you, then you could start playing minecraft, i find it very time consuming, OR play facebook games, very time consuming, OR try to fix broken mirrors bugs, lol, OR you could try to be a troll on some random forum thats the first google result you get. lol.
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
Those are all more likely things that i will do than the previous suggestions posted by other people :p
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
Oh. I was going to say those aren't really very character-building things to do.

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
Mosquitoes? They die during the winter. That is, unless Canadian mosquitoes have overcoats. Meh, I don't keep up with these things.Darkwing wrote:Never been fishing, that's too isolated if you ask me. Plus there's mosquitoes. lots of mosquitoes.
Anywho, my new job is pretty good. I work 15 - 23:00 every day except Thursdays and Sundays. And the work is really easy. All I do is check up on certain people every hour, and give a few showers every day.
The only downside is that I'm constantly moving, and it's exhausting. Other than that, it's a dream job. Kinda. Well, for 9.35 an hour it is. And don't forget my personal life is now far from wonderful. I mean, who has parties in the mornings?
LOL, I had a dream that Anderson Cooper (CNN guy that I want to strangle for no particular reason) was kidnapped, and I got a raise.

So you mean go ice fishing? You're even more messed up than I thought!
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
What? You're Canadian aren't you? I figured you'd be able to show me how to ice fish. LOL (Actually, my grandfather did that back in Finland.)
@ Shem
Yeah, assisted living and memory care. Well, I float between both places. It's a life care facility. Here's how it works:
There are four different sections of the massive complex. But I only work in memory and assisted. (They'll probably try to get me to work in the nursing home, but heck no! I'd have to be desperate for money to do that. That place is hell!)
Retirement Home
v
Assisted Living Home
v
Memory Care
v
Nursing Home
That's all of the sections in order of greatness. Retirement home being best, Nursing home being worst. When a resident's body deteriorates more, they get moved down to the the section that best suits their needs.
So basically, I work in a dieing facility. Fun.

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
I don't like the weight of the racquets and the playing lower. I liked badminton because of the lightness of the birdie and the racquet and that it always had to stay in the air
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
you could do like inception and pretend you're doin every one of these things in your dreams and imagination

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
As you can see, reality is being split into two dimensions by playing badminton, and therefore overlapping these dimensions, disrupting the space time continuum, and destroying the universe.
This is proof that badminton is evil, and too risky to play.

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
Nice job with the arcade idea. I love it! Just was hoping you would stick BM2 in there.
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
I'm going to, the arcade is no where near being finished.
So, why did you say that?

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
I don't know. I feel a little scatterbrained today. Perhaps it's just exhaustion.
Have you ever heard of Erik Satie?

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
On another note, due to me now being bored, probably gonna start up an Adnromeda fansite, due to the shocking lack of organized Andromeda content out there

I has a theory, thus why I asked you first.
And no, I don't think I have heard of him
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
@ the other DW post
Really? I never really got into it. IDK, probably just because my family never really did.
My mom sorta did in the past, but that was probably back when I was occupied with the task (self-appointed task) of killing everything in my back yard with sticks.
Oh, and about Erik Satie. I'm learning this piece on the piano:
What do you think of it? Not really my typical taste, but it's simultaneously haunting, mysterious, and enchanting.
Very unique, don't you think?
I have down the mechanics of the piece, but I'm working on the dynamics, the emotions. It's quite beautiful to play. Very delicate.

Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
Andromeda's actually my all time favourite TV series, but I have, what's the word, eclectic, tastes
Re: So, What's Everyone Up To?
Well I've seen the odd episode on random TV channels, but never got into it cause it was half way throw the series, but now I have Internet that can load a 45 min Episode in a minute or two.
