SOE is ruining Star Wars

*note that this isnt exactly a review*

right, i heard about the new SOE SW game "clone wars adventures" that is a SW game geared more for pre-teens. i decided to try it out to see if SOE could rebound from the disaster that was SWG. to put it lightly, they did not. you can play as either a jedi or a clone, ad you can play minigames and crap to save the republic blah blah blah... that part is fine as it is geared towards little kids. but when i was, say, 11, i started to get into the expanded universe. i knew a lot by 12 about the ways of the padawans and the clones. and if these kids know anything about it(they should know some by watching the animated show clone wars) they would know that this game is absolute crap.
after i created my character as a clone(i didnt wanna be a jedi because im more of a sith guy ) and the immensely long loading process was done, my first thought when the game appeared is "why the fuck is a clone trooper wielding a lightsaber!?" it seems that in addition to lightsabers, all the clones start out with a jedi kit and all players automatically start out at the jedi temple(and cant leave it) no GAR clone has ever been produced with the force, and it sickened me to click on an astromech droid and have my character use the force to lift it in the air. plus in the minigames where you're actually shooting something(there isn't many) the clones call you 'general' which is impossible to get unless you're a jedi. SOE could of at least made a clone barracks and put separate equipment(and maybe some minigames too) for clones and jedis(e.g. putting them as 2 different classes) so unless you want to be forced to play a mmo as a jedi, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME. SOE said they would never make the mistakes they made with SWG in any of their games, but its clear to me that they have here. i expected a good game where little kids can play and get their parents to spend money on the game, not a game where clones run around with lightsabers at the jedi temple and do nothing but that. SOE needs to run this game for a year, let it die, and never get involved with star wars again. or in 5-10 years nobody will have any interest in it and george lucas will be wondering what the hell happened. 1/10. and last but not least, a crappy game needs a crappy picture made in paint!!

Star Wars has really gone downhill in the gaming world for a few years now. If George Lucas would really filter what he allows them to put out there, the Star Wars franchise would be a little more dignified.

But man, I'll have to mark that on my list of games not to buy lol.

Star Wars Galaxies isn't a fail, just simply a world of limited possibility.

Once a game gets too big, like SWG, it'll begin to get more and more limited, and much less realistic to their corresponding game ( SW RPG, ST RPG, etc. ).

Originally George Lucas was going to make Lightsabers a all round weapon with everyone able to use them, but Jedi and Sith having better grade lightsabers. But then he gave them just to Force Sensitives and a few non - sensitives luckily. SWG got too big, now look at it, samething with Microsoft, they don't give a s*** about you.

They shoulda stopped making Star Wars stuff for the most part 10 years ago. Sure make the odd thing like Force Unleashed, but I'm tired of Lucas trying to cater to kids just to try and get more money. I know the original Star Wars was intended to be more for younger people, but it didn't exactly swing that way and ended up getting a broad range of age groups, so I think Star Wars should have continued on that path

I think they should make more movies, it would surely rake in a lot of money, especially if they do a Old Republic Trilogy. Force Unleashed..... I have it for my PSP, not good at all, but on the PS3 and 360 it looks awesome, the PSP version sucks, I'm going to try to find a demo, the PSP version is extremely limited... No combos.....

It's like... More prequels... Just more disgustingly obviously made for the money and the money only. But... If they were to keep lucas away from anything of any significance, it might actually not suck a donkey.

After Star Wars Episode VI things went downhill, Phantom Menace sucked. II and III were decent though, SWG, was, a extremely limited MMO... Like Fallout 3, wait, you have more options in Fallout 3 and that's on one disk, on SWG, you need 5 disks. But then Fallout 3 uses a Bluray disk, but whatever, either way, WAY WAY less memory used in Fallout 3 and all of the DLC against SWG alone with no DLC.
