Part I

(Ok, well its been about 3 hours, so i will say the hull is done, nothing more nothing less)

"Ser the hull is done, i am moving onto the FTL drive, i should warn you, dont come in the ship, 2 of the 3 EV suits were destroyed, i need the last one so i can walk in the Engine room without beinfg poisened, if you come in you will be killed by the gas."

Van Toren was admiring the landscape

"All right James, thanks for the heads up"

Van Toren then turned to Bayhes

"You know, this is where I started my journey years ago, just before I met you. Severus was standing just about where you were, it was the eve of change so it is ironic that I am here again"

"Well then, you go capture Severus and we can kill him here. Only problem is getting the ship back up and running. Any ideas where we go next?"
Bayhes pulled out a small scanner, and started looking for his vehicles locator beacon.

"I've heard rumour of a small resistance movement on the planet Trellis 5, I believe we should make our way there and gain support and troops. The only problem is it's a bit obvious, once Severus finds me gone from my moon, this planet will be the first place he looks"

"Maybe I should stay here and have a rematch. It would distract him and his grunts while you slip past them and gather up some support."

"No, no, The more secrets we can keep, the better. right now he has no idea you're alive, you're my secret weapon"

I wasn't just believing on this... I couldn't believe in all this... "SHE existed!" Was I thinking... "For true... It wasn't just a dream girl... She was real..."

I then saw her look at me, smile and move her lips into what seemed a shy "hi"... I tryed to reply, but my lips only moved... I didn't hear anything exiting from my mouth...

"I guess. Can't wait till he finds out I'm alive due to a new hole appearing in him."
Bayhes located his vehicle
"Ok, I've found that heap of junk I used to call a jeep. It has some basic supplies and parts that can be used on the ship."

Jaquelyn continued to watch the little group, having been bored with following the other two. She noticed one of them that seemed to act as a leader to the others, and she smiled. She might have a different way to get on that ship, and she tapped the pistol at her side. She was going to see if she could ambush him alone to ask a few questions and see if she can get off planet.

"All right, I'll head down to the jeep and get what I can carry, Bayhes, see ig you can lend James a hand with...anything, I don't trust him and his...eagerness, keep an eye on him"

Van Toren then headed off for the jeep

"Well..alright."
Bayhes walked back to the ship. When he made it back, he activated the intercom
"James this is Bayhes. You neeed help with anything?"

She smiled softly, following him closely with her pistol in her hand. It only took a few minutes before he was far enough away from the group before she raised her gun, coming out of the bushes to the left of him. "Hello there... I'd like to have a small chat with you, if you don't mind.." She smiled coyly, keeping the pistol chest level,

She now was alone... And I kept thinking on going to know her... "Well, it's now or never..."

I arrived near her... And said...

"Hi..."

"Hello..." She replyed...

And a nice talking started...

"A small chat huh. Last time I checked, small talk wasn't at the end of a gun"

"Just a formality. I've made many enemies on this planet, and I can't be too careful now." She slid the gun back into the holster and smiled. "That better?"

Van Toren sat down on a fairly large rock

"So, you're not the only one with enemies. We have that in common, let's see what else we have, I would say you're on the run, you hide your sidearm like me, indicates some form of dignity and yet sneakiness. Interesting."

"Rachel" Said she... "And yours?"

"João"

"João? Never heard that name..."

"Old Portugal name..."

"So, you come from Earth? Never saw you around..."

"Yup..."

And the chat keep talking...

"Hm.. All I want is transport out of here.. Maybe to join whatever cause your part of.. I just want off this planet, I can't do my job on this planet anymore.." She sighed, looking down.

I made signal to Addar and exited from the bar... I saw him laugh a bit, maybe impressed with the easy I got to know her...

"So... You lived here all your life?" Asked I...

"Yup, I've... My dad was a resistance fighter..."

"Was?"

"Yup... he was killed by Severus forces..." Said she while her face turned sad...

"Oh... I'm sorry..."

"Don't feel sorry... It isn't your fault..."

And a moment of weird silence started...

I walked over to the ships intercom panel and pressed a button "its safe now, the gass is gone, i need some help, go to the Cockpit, and wait for firther instructions" i sadi, then i looked down and started working again.

"Alright, see you there"
Bayhes moved to the cockpit, clearing debri as he went and making a new door due to a broken one. The cockpit was filled with broken consoles and other machinery.
"This place got romped. What are you expecting me to do in here James?"

Then, she decided to break the silence...

"So, what are you doing here?"

"Me? I was flying with a few friends when suddenly our ship hit a small asteroid that almost destroyed us..." Said I, thinking that I shouldn't tell her the truth... although I wanted it... "Then we crashlanded in this planet..."

"And your shipwreck, were it is?"

"I don't know... Maybe a few clicks to the north... Maybe a dozen..."

"Clicks?"

"Kilometers..."

"Ahh..." Said she... "You must have been sleeping all the way here..."

"Yes... Tecnicly..."

"Engineering Consol 2 should still be working, i want you to input these codes, 1582.4, that should bring the Navigational sensors online, then i want you to go to the Navigational Consol, enter sequence 4892.1, then a box will pop up on the screen, press allow, then i want you to acces the engine files and activate all thrusters, dont go into overburn, dont press engage, i will be in the thruster tubes, do not activate the fireing sequence, i will die or be badly burned"

"Say that like its a bad thing."
Bayhes put in the codes and activated the systems.
"Why does this ship have thrusters you can climb into anyway?"
Bayhes activated the ship short range communications.
"Toren. We got the navigation back online and James Is inside the thrusters. Whats yuor status on getting to the vehicle?"

"Borrego! It's time for us to return..." Yelled Addar to me... "We already have all the suplies..."

"Right!" Yelled I back

Then I turned to Rachel and said:

"Well... It's time... Bye..."

"Bye..."

After she said this she gave me a kiss on my cheek and step away, while smiling to me... I was stunned with her attitude... Anyway, I entered the Jeep, and returned to the ship...

"So i can work on the Thruster Assembly, if the thruster powers down, i need to manually turn it on from the inside, now it is activated, there is a small flame in all three thrusters, i am back in the ship, now i want you to bring fireing mode back online, we are going to pick up Van, and go to the city"

Pain... Suffer... Destruction...

Suddenly Borrego awakes in the car... He felt the diference in the dream he had... but he could only feel... he didn't saw anything or heard... it was just that feeling...

"Nightmare?" Asked Addar

"Yup... Where are we?"

"10 clicks from the ship..."

"How long is it been since we left the city?"

"33 minutes..."

I then placed my head over the car window... feeling the bumps the Jeep gave...

While driveing we were intercepted by an old friend, Vaio, A bounty hunter whose been after my head for 11 years. Its been 9 years seince our last encounter. I looked up, it was more than one gun. We were surrounded by a band of bounty hunters. I was familiar with their work. "This time, I wont let you get away" their Vaio said. I knew he was right, there was no way out.

"Kid, get out of hear before they realize why we are together. Go back to the ship, tell Torren that I was captured by Vaio and his gang." I muttered

"But Addar, they'l kil..."

"Just go! I yelled "So nice to see you again Vaio."

"Its been a while. Your worth even more now. Tell me, How is it that Ive aged 9 years but you have stayed the same."

"Dont know, And i dont care, I can kick your ass anytime."

"Dont get cocky now or I might just have to shoot" He said "be a good boy and get in the ship. No trouble now." Then a ship pulled up behind him. "Now if i let you sit up front with me, will you play nice."

I had no choice, i got in the ship.

Just as this happened what was left of our ship flew past, gunning down most of the bounty hunters, thne the thrusters failed at it came crashing down to the planet from 5 feet in the air, i cam out of one of the thrusters, my cloths were burnt, (luckally that thruster wasent working very well) then i grabbed my pistol and it was pointed right at Vaio's head "Get in the ship, now i will handle this" i said as i grabbed vVio and forced him to the ground.

um actually, for story's sake, lets just say that they got away. The have more people than you ad you would have been shot)

"Everyone alright i said as i climbed out of the thruster" then i headed to the hatch so they could unload there supplies

(Yeah... the got away... this is what happens when you don't show up in the meeting EP...)

As I run the remaining 9 km's to the ship... I arrived exausted...

"Bayhes..." Started I ofegating... "Some bounty hunter named Vaio appeared and kidnaped Addar..."

"What? How are you?" Asked Bayhes...

"I'm fine... Addar told me to escape before they landed on us..."

"How many where they?"

"I don't know... 9 or 10 maybe..."

"Did they left the supplies behind?"

"Maybe... I don't know..."

"Our sensors, well whats left of them show that they left the power relays, 6 pistols, 20 9 mm rounds, wow why would you leave this behind, its an experimental laser cannon, it is useless currently because the technology hasent been perfected, but if i could work on that...wow, oh and some metal plates, that is it" I walked over to the debris field and picked up all that i mentioned "Now we need to go rescure addar, Van the engines are online, and i can patch up the hull within an hour, i can also equip the battery from this truck to feed into the main power array"


(OOC: the laser is not uber, as i states it is useless untill we can perfect the technology)

(Actually in 2155 it would be probable that they would be used widely in military, and technicly, the nightcrwler is a military ship...)

"Wouldn't now be too soon?" Said I... "I mean, if we're going to rescue him and we find another destroyer group in our way, I wanna have at least the chance to press the Quantum FTL Jump button..."

"the engine is repaired but we can only travel 1 light year as of now, the engine needs to power up."

Van Toren then appeared with a female. The group looked at Van Toren surprised

"She's coming along too"

Van Toren looked around

"Where's Addar?"

"He was kidnapped, we are going to mount a rescue" i said trying to be the leader for just a few min

"I see. And what is the current condition of this ship?"

"Navigation is online, the hull is fixed, weapons are... lets not go there, and the engines can get us 1 lightyear before they need to recharge, but that is ok, the sensors show they are on an orbiting moon"

"That's a Quantum wake you idiot..." Said I, angered... "You don't see, but your stupid attempt of looking the boss is making you act stupid... Toren, we must go and rescue him... I agree with that... But we can't even make sure the ship wont break appart in the first hit we catch... May you let me, at least do a thing with the laser?"

She smiled a bit. "I think I can help you all out with the electronics part of repairs. I'm unparalleled in this field of expertise, or so I'm told repeatedly, and have yet to meet something that I can't do in that field. Anything that I can do to help out?" She was going to enjoy this, and saw out of the corner of her eye the bushes begin to shake with slight movement. She tapped Van Toren on the shoulder. "I think someone is here..."

"Really?" Said I "Great... Follow me... We're going to get those supplies here first... Then while you assemble the laser... I will be programing it's new function... Ok?"

Van Toren looked over his shoulder. He nodded to Bayhes. The two slowly and silently crept up on the bushes

"I need you to fix the electronics in the consols on the bridge, i will continue working on the engine" i said to the person we still dont know the name of

Borrego noted the attitude of Toren and Bayhees... It seems she wasn't joking... I just stoped there... I could feel my heart speed up... But it wasn't in fear... It was the same feeling he had last night while talking with Rachel...

"What are we waiting for?" i asked from my spot in the cornner.

"The rest of my fleet. Should you try to escape, takeover this ship, or anything like that, they have orders to destroy this ship."

When Vaio said that i simply sat there, we jumped into ftl with the rest of his fleet. I jumped up and had Vaio by the neck in seconds.

"Dont shoot, or he dies." I said

"Addar, you've forgotten our deal. You can only be up here if you play nice."

At that point, someone from behind me shoot a small probe into my spine. Then the probe began to electrocute me. Effectively paralyzing me.

"It hurts, doesn't it" Vaio said, "If that hurts then your world is only going to get alot worse." He proceeded to beat me. Once i became unconscious, he transfered me to the hold on the ship. But the probe wasn't removed, it was just set to a lower setting. I woke up able to move, barely. Couldn't move very far or very fast. Not even enough to speak.

Van Toren nodded to Bayhes and they pounced on the bush

Jaquelyn was working on the various electronic systems in the ship, seemingly at once. She had her personal laptop open, getting various different programs to run while fixing the ship. She was playing a soft musical piece as well, humming along as she worked.

Borrego was trying to assemble the laser...

"May the unknown lady, expert in electronics come here and help? I'm just a pilot, not an engineer or an electician..." Said I while trying to assemble the laser cannon into one of the old railgun shacks... "Ouch!"
