Part II

Fleet Admiral Taylor Doyle sat back in his command chair, surveying the large and busy control center. He took off his black leather gloves, pondering what do with his prisoners. It had been a lucky catch really, Doyle had been following them for days but each time he got close, they slipped away. And finally, due to mere chance, they had jumped right into his grasp. Doyle confidently rose from his chair and stepped forward.

"Contact high command. Inform Severus that Van Toren is now under maximum security," he paused, "also inform them that we have a certain Michael Bayhes with us as well, that will be all" Doyle turned and exited the control center.

Van Toren was alone in his cell, guarded by ten security troops. New Order troops, not the typical type, especially these guards. Highly trained soldiers who would kill within an instant, harmless looking...despite the black helmets and shields and of course the automatics. Van Toren got up from his bunk and wandered the small room. He imagined the others were in similar cells each as heavily guarded as the rest. Escape was currently not an option, a moment would have to arise. But first, Van Toren wanted to learn from this ship, wanted to see what the New Order was up to. He only hoped the others wouldn't be so hasty to get themselves killed while trying to assault a guard or something.

James awoke in his cell, strangly there was only one guard, and he was lightly armed with only a small rifle

Hmm i wonder were the power comes to feed that control box that opens the door to this cell, i thought to myself "Wait, there is a" i said to myself as i was a panel marked Power Cable, so i wated for the guard to fall asleep in his chari, then i pulled the panel open and touched two cables together, the door opened, then i wlaked out and grabbed the guards gun, and his knife and stabbed him, i put his uniform on and then proceded to the maintiinence shaft wic is usually abandon

Jaquelyn grinned. The guards were poor in trying to search her. She had kept them busy not to touch certain parts on her body, threatening to stab one with her shoes if they even dared to go near it. She had kept a few of her more insidious devices, such as her trusted neural shock tazer pen. The rest was just normal blank ICE breakers. She began to work on opening her cell, whistling away.

OCC: i do, and you said you wondered if we were in similar cells you never said that we were in similar cells, sorry i assumed that since me and some of the others are not as important to the new order, they woul think we were less important and helpless so they would not guard us as well, sorry

Bayhes was shoved into his cell by a particuarly happy gaurd.
"Wait 'til Severus heres you arent dead, he'll be so happy to kill you again"
The guard slammed the door shut, and took up position leering at Bayhes, who turned around, looking for a way out
"Well. That escape went perfectly."
He Looked around for panels, vents anything he could pry open but couldn'rt find anything. What he did notice was a man lying asleep in the corner of the cell. He looked wasted, as if he had been in the cell for years, and looked vaguely familiar.
"Hello? You still alive?"
The figure stirred a little and looked around in mild surprise.
"Oh, it's you." He said.

Vex Valkyrie was a happy man. He had stumbled upon a broken ship in an ancient, but problably advanced city. He repaired the ship and was ready for lift off. Time to find my friends. "I would love to see the look on Van Toren's face," he chuckled. He fired the preliminary engine.\

The spacecraft slowly rose into the air, he accelerated some more, pulling the vessel into the troposphere.

*DW do we have sensors?*

He was now staring into space. He spotted the planet where his froends had crashed, and sped off towards it.

He entered in a low orbit, to make sure there wasn't any of the New Order in the atmosphere. Once he made sure, he began his descent toward the planet. He quickly spotted what seemed to be a campsite, however it was well deserted. His scanners picked up something in the air. He opened the hactch and took a sniff.

Being a weapons specilist, he knew what it was right away, it was the smell of the engine on a ship. He followed the smell using his scanners into space......now knowing where he would find his friends and the dangers that awaited him (on the prisoner ship).

I was in my cell, many guards i said to one of them "I am a spy for your leader, i have crucial informatin reguarding Van Toran and the resistance" i said as i showed a fake id, the guard took me to the captain, were i talked to him and tried to convince him i was a spy, he belived me, i was granted quarters, 2 guards outside of the door though, "atleast i am not in a cell" i thought

(I think the guards will not be that easily fooled)


The Pilot of the Auriora dropped out of warp at the Trinary Star System near the planet of the 3 Suns (what is the name of the planet with 3 suns?).

What we didn’t expect to see was a New Order Prisoner Ship. A Massive one.

The Pilot started to charge weapons.

"Wait,” I said, “what are the armanents of the Prisoner ship?”

(I’m guessing it has a lot of weaponery)

(It's not a prison ship, just a massive capital ship with a few brigs)

and yes, lots of guns

Bayhes blinked, and then helped the man off the floor. He was heavy, which was strange considering how long he must have been in captivity.
"You alright mate?"
"Yeah, I guess. I though you were dead."
"Like I was going to be taken down like that."
"He shot you in the chest. Then stabbed you. Then dumped you in a ditch on a moon with barely any air. Hard to see how you survived without any help."
"Good to see you too. Whats your story?"
"When you and the rest of Blackstar went down, it was only a matter of time until Severus found us and attacked. He targeted our houses, but we had more sense then to stay in those. We formed a resistance group, but he found the HQ. Don't know why exactly, but he lauched a ground assualt instead of just bombing us. It was a pretty big fight, not many made it out."
"Who survived?"
"Praylyn, Barret, Dukes, and Satchwell all made it out. Thomas, Tipping, and Hawker were captured, dont know if they are stilll alive. The others all went down in the fight."
"Well you made it too. And if your alive and relatively well, it means they want you for something, and the same for me. I have an idea how to get out, but it'll be risky."
"I'm up for it. Whats the plan?"
"I'm going to have to try and kill you"

Vex Valkyrie was afraid. In nearly his whole entire life, he had never been scared. But now, he had experienced this agonizing emotion.

He had this feeling when he saw something, massive, with what looks like tons of guns and possibly projectiles mounted on. It was definately a ship. Probably the ship that his friends were on.

Vex broke off his pursuit, buying time to think of a plan. "They haven't detected me,"he thought", so I have the element of surprise. But is that enough to bring down a section of the hull, and board them?" He wasn't sure. In all his life, he had never seen this type of ship. But he knew his friends were on there. He would have to risk it.

Valkyrie observed the console, trying to find the weapons control. It wasn't there. He relaxed himself, pulling back on the big chair, accidently pushing a button.

Suddenly a console zoomed out of the consol in front of him. He studied it and knew what it was--the tactical console. However, he didn't know what any of the weapons were. He quickly tapped keys, bring life to the screen and different diagrams. Finally, a blue schematic popped up--the design of the weapons.

Ship: Excalibur--Experimental Assault Vessel of the Zunari Species

Weapons: Experimental Electrical Torpedo (shock the nearby systems that the torpedo hits). Experimental Electrical Cannon.

Defenses: Primative Hull Magnetization, Electric-Lined Bow

James was in his small guarded quarters, "I wonder how to get them out" he thought, just then the door flew open and the captain of the ship came in, he had two guards with him, he said "we have ran your ID through the scanner, it comes up as authentic, bet we have no rocord of you" he said, as he reached out his hand for me to shake it, so i grabbed his hand with one hadn and with the other i grabbed his pistol and pointed it to his neck "No one come any cloaser, if i die he dies" i said, as i inched myself onto the bridge i brough the comm online "This is your capt...." (i cut him off) "I am holding your captain hostage, shoot me and he will be shot, now release the prisoners or i willkill the captain, you have 24 hours to release them and me with the hostage to our ship, also dismantle your weapons systems, hand over supplies to.

While James was occupied on the comm, Doyle nodded to the two marines standing nearby. Doyle silently stepped up behind James and brought his arm around his neck. James dropped the gun and started gasping for air

"Test is complete. You're a traitor and committed of treason!"

Doyle released his arm and James collapsed still gasping

"Maximum security for him"
Five marines came up and forcefully grabbed James' arms. They dragged him away

"Filthy dirt" Doyle muttered

Bayhes punched the startled man in the face, who was sent backwards with a large amount of force and blood.
"What the fu-"
He was hit again, and this time retaliated. The guards outside noticed this, and opened the door.
"Hey you two! Stop fighting eachother!"
"Ok, we'll fight you instead."
Bayhes lunged at one guard, ducking beneath weapons fire to grab him around the torso. the other man did the same with another guard, each of them forcing the weapons from the guards and shooting at the others. After a few moments of chaos, they left the area leaving severaal unconsious guards, a scorcehd wall and fair amount of blood on the ground.
"Well, thats that. Problem is I have no idea what to do now."
The two set about wandering the ship aimlessly.

"Thank god law protect me from any harm" Was I thinking, while apreciating how lucky I am... "They put me in a decent quarters while keeping my stuff... Too bad the others didn't have the same luck..."

I kept thinking... Checked my MID device... "Full reception... I guess they wont examinate my messages..."

Started writting a small text message...

"SOS. Ship in Long Solar Orbit. Don't shut down your Stealth Field."

And sent it to Rachel, hoping it would arrive the resistance...

"We are nearly at the cell blocks now"
"You said that an hour ago"
"We escaped 20 minutes ago. I've been counting"
"Every second? What are you a machine? How do you even know this is the way to the other brig? And how do you know they are going to be in this one?"
"1. Yes 2. No 3. The signs said so 4. Because they weren't in the others. Any other questions Cross?"
"Yeah, where are the guards? Isn't this meant to be a NO capiital ship? They should have noticed we escaped and be chasing us right now"
"You're just noticing that now? I don't know where they are, maybe its lunchtime or something."
Bayhes looked around the next corner and saw a group of guards standing in the middle of the corridor. As Bayhes and Cross moved and took aim, the guards just stood there staring. One of them started walking slowly forwards.
"Cross, you finally made good on your threats of getting out. And Bayhes, I take it you came up with the plan?"
"Shut up. Stop moving. Drop your guns."
A group of guards came up through a hatch in the floor behind Bayhes and Cross.
"Now we have a clear advantage. Now you are going to come with us."
"I dont think so" Said Cross "I didn't just have a fight with Bayhes and take down the brig guards just so I could go back"
"And I'm not going either." Remarked Bayhes
"I wasn't asking."
"And we weren't lying"
"Then maybe I should tell you where you are going. Someone wants to have a word with you. We staged this little break out, and are now going to escort you to that someone. It's either that or we shoot you. Make up your minds"
Bayhes lowered his weapon. And walked over to the guard.
"Lead the way."

Jaquelyn walked through the halls, and came up behind one of the guards, and stabbed him with her stun pen, and took off towards the lock up to get her other equipment. She wanted to get armed as quickly as possible and find a computer to wire one of the ICE breakers to the system.

She replyed with an aparently inocent (and unprotected message):

"Hi..."

"Hi :D How're you?" Replyed I...

"Fn, and u?"

"I'm also fine, thanks..."

Suddenly a guard walks in and ask me to allow him to check my MID, were he see's all the new messages...

"Ah, a girl..." Started him... "We got worried from the traffic of messages that was running around here... But if it's only a girl... By the way, good luck..." blinks the eye to me...

"Thanks..." replyed I...

And continued to talk to her... "She is smart indeed..." Was I also thinking...

Then Auriora fired a salvo of bullets and missiles onto the Capital Ship and a couple of laser beam shots.

Van Toren was sitting on his bunk when the ship trembled for a moment. The lights dimmed slightly, but came back a second later
"Interesting," Van Toren thought. He looked out at the marines guarding his cell. They hadn't budged and inch.
"Not your typical guards," Van Toren observed.

Doyle came up to his command perch overlooking the command center

"What was that?" Doyle asked sharply.
"A salvo of missiles sir, direct hit, no damage to us," Tactical replied
"What are we looking at for a ship?"
"Small sir, definitely no match for us," the tactical officer replied

Doyle rubbed his forehead, a slight headache becoming present
"Open a comm channel to the ship," Doyle commanded

Jaquelyn came around the corner a little too quickly, almost running into two of the guards. She checked the map she had downloaded onto her PDA and noticed she was directly outside of Van Toren's cell. "Hm, guess it's time for me to pull of a rescue..." She pulled out her pistol, added a silencer, and waited. Even a silencer makes noise in a silent ship.

Doyle stood, waiting. The comm officer looked up
"Not responding sir, orders"

doyle paused.
"Load missile bays 8 through 12, prepare to fire on my mark" Doyle commanded
A marine came up to Doyle

"Sir, Guard detail three has failed to report in"

Doyle gave a frustrated sigh
"Take 5 marine squads, find the prisoners, go to Van Toren's cell first"

Jaquelyn took aim and shot at both the guards, killing both instantly and silently. She went to the door and hooked up the ICE breaker and began to work on opening the cell door.

Van Toren sat in his cell. He heard some sounds outside. The guards inside turned and pointed their guns at the door (remember there's 10 dudes in here)

"I hope someone wasn't stupid enough to escape," Van Toren thought, "They have no idea who they're dealing with"

(alright) She risked getting heard and yelled to inside the cell. "Van Toren, get under some cover, the door is about to blow." A beeping noise was heard as the implemented explosive device counted down.

Vex Valkyrie knew something was happening aboard the enemy vessel. It had stopped its acceleration and stopped dead in his tracks. "Looks like my friends are causing a bit of mayhem," he sneered," Why don't I give them a help."

And With that Vex Valkyrie started to load weapons, but was distracted by a beeping noise, coming from his console. He checked it and it displayed a message.

"RECOGNIZE VESSEL". There was two buttons under. "VIEW INFO". and "OK". He pressed view info. A schematic popped onto the screen. He realized it was the schematic for the enemy ship. The drawing showed weak points, including the power cell generators.

With the power generator cells down, the cell doors would be useless, and slide open.

He proceded to charge weapons.

"Missiles ready Captain," The tactical officer informed him. There was a sudden beeping sound, "SIR! Another ship, I don't know why we didn't see them before! They're arming their weapons, targeting our power cells!"

"Re-aim! Fire at the new vessel!" Doyle commanded.

The Scarlet Fire quickly redirected and fired a salvo of missiles at Vex's ship. Vex's ship quickly evaded, but was grazed by one missile

A message. from an unknown ID, appeared in my MID...

"Run, this is our work..."

"What?" Was I thinking... Suddenly, the lights went on, and the message had transformed into a "See?"

The door had opened... The entire ship went offline...

"Whoever they're, they did a nice job..." Was I thinking... "Ok, get to the ship, ASAP!"

Valkyrie's ship, Excalibur, approached the capital ship, weapons charged.
Due to helpful schematics (see my last post) Vex knew the weak points on the capital ship--the power generator cells.

"I'm going to ambush them from behind, "thought Valkyrie", I'll get a clear shot."

His vessel swerved around and quickly shot blue-white balls of electric energy toward the capital ship.

The Enemy's ship rocked as several more balls of energy struck the hull.

Looks like The Capital Ship is unfamiliar with this kind of techonology,"thought Vex, "now let's see what these torpedoes do.

And, with one flick, 3 torpdoes seperated from Excaliburs under-hull, and struck the power generators on the Enemy Ship. Even from this distance, Vex could clearly tell they wouldn't hold long.

Lieutenant Stewart Henderson sat in the command chair of the control center--uncertain of what to do.

Fleet Admiral Doyle had left, which put him in charge. Now, there was a ship firing advanced weapons onto him.

A marine in the background shouted," Our weapons Expert has analyzed the torpedo. It's Zunari!!"

"Zunari???", the lieutenant thought," That's a ficticious race the supposedly crippled our ancestors centuries ago! Well not so ficticious now".

"Go find Admiral Doyle", Stewart shouted to the marine, which immediately left the room.

I entered the flight deck of the Nightcrawler, and powered the ship up... I wanted to see if the sensors could find my friends in the mess... Suddenly a large shake goes through the ship, and I am sent flying in the ground...

"I must stop doing this... Is that ok, dear gravity plate?" Shouted I to the empty...

"Now, where are the brigs?" Was I talking to the screen while the sensors were warming up... "There!"

Grabed a gun from the "armory" in the bridge, and a couple more from the armory, and went get them... "Luckly they've escaped also..."

Admiral Doyle ran back onto the bridge

"Backups, NOW!" Doyle yelled. The backup power generators kicked into gear

"Track hostile, load all missile tubes and arm track guns, open fire, maximum effect!"

The Scarlet Fire opened fire around the ship. Several missiles locked onto Vex's ship and hit it. Doyle hit the comm

"Available marines, get to the cell block now! It's an escape attempt! Shoot to kill!"

you're not reading my posts and don't make me give you warning one. we've switched to backups. now please, work with the game not against it

As I hear the warning... "Shit..." I thought... Ahh hell... Got my MID... it was ringing, again the same unknown ID... "Your left, a vent... go through it... The attack disabled it's sensors..."

"Ok..."

(Better, aside from the fact that this is a massive capital ship so i don't think a couple of torpedoes would take out primary engines, this isn't star trek where everything's weak)

Doyle gripped a banister as the ship shook

"Sir, we've a breach on hanger bay 3! Sealing now!" the tactical officer informed Doyle

Doyle hit his comm
"Marines, confirm prisoners are secure!"

Bayhes and Cross had been talking to someone referred to as "Gamma" for some time. Towards the end of the discussion, the ship shook with the force of weapons fire.
"Ah about time that happened. Everything is proceeding as planned. By now, Doyle will have his drones runnng around to the cell blocks to rescue the prisoners." Stated Gamma
"Well, in that case, we have to go. People to save, places to hide." Said Bayhes, turning to go
"That wont be necessary. The gaurds wont be getting to the cells. Toren and the others will find them on the ground, and be able to escape using their equipment. In the meantime, you know what to do."
"I think I do. But just to get this straight...you arranged all of this?"
"In a manner of speaking. You and your.. "Friends" have proven to be fine pawns, each moving events forwards perfectly. Now leave this room, you wont encounter anyone. The Nightcrawler is secured and repaired to some extent. Try not to be captured again."

The door blew open to Van Toren's cell. The guards started firing through the smoke, hoping to hit something. Van Toren rolled his eyes before charging at a couple of the guards

"33 guys holding a pair of cells, hũh?" Said I... "Maybe I should just use one of these stun grannades..."

I dropped one from a small hole... the granade exploded blinding them all... The marines started shooting everywhere, killing all of them but one...

"Tsk, tsk, tsk... Easy..." thought I right before landing over his head, knocking him unconscient...

Van Toren ducked through the smoke and Jacqulen grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the crossfire

"Let's get out of here!" Van Toren said

Doyle waited impatiently, there was no response. Doyle quickly turned on his heals and exited command. He walked quickly down the corridors and quickly slid down some ladders, making his way to the cell block. Doyle unholstered his pistol. There as some smoke in the distance. Doyle walked through it and glanced in the cell. The marines were all choking on the smoke. Van Toren was no where to be seen. Doyle quickly continued walking. He turned a corner. Van Toren and Jacquelen were making their way down the corridor, their backs to Doyle. Doyle raised his pistol and shot Van Toren in the head. He aime for Jacquelen, but she ducked into an air vent. Doyle ran up to the vent and peered inside. She had already eluded him. Doyle kicked the limp body of Van Toren before heading back for command.

Doyle entered command and took his post, holstering his weapon
"Get medics to the detention block to clean up the bodies" Doyle commanded

"Wrong brig..." Was I thinking... suddenly I hear jaquelyn's voice:

"Here, hide..." And she pulls me in...

"What happened?" Asked I...

"Doyle shot Toren... I don't know if he's alive..."

"What???"

"Just give me a weapon..."

"Ah... sure..." And gave her a SMG...

Gamma's words had proven true in Bayhes and Cross' case.
They made it back to the Nightcrawler. On arrival, Bayhes realised something was wrong.
"They should have been here by now. They were closer then we were..."
Bayhes left the Nightcrawler.
"Cross, stay here and hold this place down. If a guard walks in, shoot them. If Toren walks in, shoot him if he tries anything. Actually you can shoot him anyway."
Bayhes left the hanger, and went about searching the deck for Toren.

Me and Jaquelyn arrived to the ship... Bayhees was already there with someone else...

"Bayhees! Nice to see you safe!" Said I... But Bayhees ignored him, continuing on his way... "What tha?"

(I thought Bayhes was wandering aimlessly again..whatever I'll improvise)
"Borrego, you made it. Wait a second..where is Toren? I promiseed Cross he could shoot him."
"Don't worry about me, I'll find someone else"
Bayhes looked back at the ship.
"Well Gamma was right, this thing has been fixed up pretty well. We should be able to get out of here real soon."

"Toren was shot by Doyle..." said Jaquelyn...
"So, lets leave..."
"Wait... We still miss James anyway... and there's a friend of ours helping us in orbit..."

"Toren has been shot? Can I shoot him again to make sure? And yes, we do miss James. Ok, moment over lets go find him then go."
Bayhes left the hanger and headed toqwards the Cell blocks, in search of James and Toren.
Cross remained in the hanger. He looked at the Nightcrawler, just in time to see something moving along its hull.
"What..?"
He raised his weapon and took aim. He fired a shot, but it missed. The something jumped off the ship and ran out the door. Cross made to follow, but after taking one step he forgot he had seen anything.
