Star Control 2

This game will always have a special place in my heart because it was launched the same year i was born , compared to today's graphics this game is old and bad looking but the universe is just immense compared to any space adventure our days if you look at the star-map you can see HUGE number of star systems that are out there and every star has at least 2 ( max 15 ) planets and these planets could have their own moons ( max 6 moons ) and in your exploration you can meet 11 races of aliens each whit there own ships , comm music ,font and ideology .
You star your adventure in the solar system as a captain of a super ship build whit alien tech only to find out that humans lost the war and Terra is under a red shield that stops any humans from escaping and fighting against the Ur-Quan and their Battle Thralls so you dock at the refuel space station and talk to the humans inhabiting the station , eventuality they will join and you can build a fleet of ships to take the Ur-Quan super-ship and free our planet .

P.s : don`t try star control 3 because is just horrible compared to star control 2
