I have news....

Well, I can't tell if this is good or bad, but I have flash CS4 on my computer right now, and I opened BM3 to edit it. When I save it, it needs to save as CS4 which is OK, the problem is that it frigs with the actionscript. I change the settings under publish, but that still doesn't make a difference. So, until I find a better way, it looks like if BM3 is going to be done, it will need to be recoded from scratch. Now if any CS4 users know a way around this, and a way that doesn't involve saving as CS3 format please tell, cause I really really don't want to code from scratch! I can't even read all the BM code yet that's how complex it is!

Weird... my CS4 don't do that... This time try to save as CS4 file format...

yeah, i already covered the basics JPB, it just frigs with the Actionscript. When I do save/save as, it is somehow converting it to AS3 i think, even though my publish settings are AS2, the only way around that i found was create a new AS2 project

hmmm... If your publish settings are set at AS2, it will stay in AS2... try to save in a diferent place... and then check it for diferences....

like i said, already covered the basics. you have to remember i know flash really well so I know what to cover when I have problems like this

That shouldn't happen... I've got FG saved as CS3 and it remains AS2...

Try saving it as CS3 instead of CS4...

well, i managed to make it work, i brought it down to flash 6 in the publish settings, though it was created with the flash 8 settings. i have no idea why the flash 8 settings don't work for it on CS4, but it seems to work fine with the flash 6 settings. anways, hope to expect beta 1.0 by mid august

here's the timeline I'm looking at, I want Conquest mode done in two weeks TOPS! That means getting what took me originally three months to do, to get it done in two weeks. Two weeks after that, i want a rough campaign engine in the works. Essentially, this game is to be done by my birthday so i can go do better things
