New News...
Good afternoon, world, and welcome to the raffitz TV News! I'm talking directly from my computer, which means, it's finally finished!
We (my dad and me) found out the problem was from my new (It was bought about a month ago) RAM module with one gigabyte.... It didn't allow any OS to be installed (the previous OS of my computer (the one that came with it when I bought it) was Media Center 2005, I tried installing it, and a blue screen appeared every now and then and I had to reboot my computer... After that, I tried installing XP Professional, ad the same error appeared, so we concluded the problem wasn't from the CDs...
Then my father had the idea of the CD drive... We replaced the CD drive, but the error continued... Then he took out the RAM module.... And we succesfully finished the OS installation... Then, and as my hard drive was divided in two partitons, we installed it again in the second partition, just in case the OS of the first partition malfunctioned.... But the one I'm going to use is the one from the first partition....
Well, I formatted my hard drive without need, so, crap, but I got most of my stuff in my external hard drives (my dad's and mine)...
I´ve got all the spriting stuff and flashgate stuff stored, so, I won't need to start flashgate all over again...

The partitioning wasn't the problem... It seems you got it all wrong.... Try and read it again more carefully....
Re: New News...
meh... a RAM wich bloks a OS... never heard from it...
EDIT: what the hell? id do have! well, actually, the problem is not caused by your RAM, but by xp... i had the problem too... my pc always worked flawlessly, even when i installed xp, but when i tried putting another OS on it, it got screwed up. I put in another ram, and voila, pc worked again.
lesson to learn: don't use vista or xp.
other lesson to learn: don't use windows at all.

When people misinterpret me...
OK, I'll write here what happened...
1. About two months ago, my dad bought me a RAM module with 1 GB
2. Last week, I had a problem with my computer, a problem of unknown source...
3. My dad and I formatted the disk and tried to install Windows Media Center 2005, the OS that came with m,y computer and that had already been reinstalled...
4. When it didn't work, my dad and I tried installing Windows XP Professional, with similar results, which meant the problem wasn't from the disks
5. My dad, in an act of inspiration, removed the memory module. After that,we tried installing Windows Media Center 2005 again, and it worked...
Conclusion: The RAM module must have a physical error (not logical).
(PS: I removed some of the parts of the previous story to make this more understandable....)

Re: New News...
I love windows, as I've grown used to its errors and blue screens, but I hate Vista... If I had to choose between Windows 3.1 and Vista, I'd choose 3.1... (Yeah., I'm not exaggerating...)
Re: New News...
i don't know what everybody's problem with vista is! they go on about xp being the best, or 98, but honestly, vista runs so much smoother, with fewer errors than any other windows os that i've used
Re: New News...
I agree.i heard to technicians complaining that we used mac and wanted to switch to windows vista.unfortunatly, we arent going to get vista because they are afraid the system might lock up.

Re: New News...
well, if i have a choice of vista or mac, i'd go mac. vista is the next best in my opinion, and mac is the best

Haven't seen my mother's computer yet... My parents, who are engineers had to take the pc to a technician to connect it to the internet, cause it was constantly crashing when it started connecting... Only god and my parents know the problems that that crappy OS has given us...
Re: New News...
well, i must have been blessed with the only good one out there. mine runs the best out of all of the windows os' out there! that's why i like vista as my windows preference

Oops, I was tired when I read that. The ram module was the problem.

Oh, by the way, my grandmother got discharged today.... She's in bed, and has to be on oxygen 16 hours a day, but she's fine...
