Government system: Democracy

Pros: Freedom and prosperity. Can recruit troops from enemy planets on promises of more freedom and prosperity. Adding 200 Attack to ground armys

Cons: Humanitarianism. Unable to use planet destroying/ other non space weapons of mass destruction due to humanitarian policy. (It can use WMDs, but only on fleets, if used on planet or any other form of civilians , 10 turns will have to be skipped due to unrest in own civilian population)

History


Intro and first days.

The history of the union is short in comparison to the other races, it started on earth only a few hundred years from the current date. The third world war was about to break out and the rich and influental wanted to escape before the world was destroyed. They came together and built a gigantic ship to take the worlds top politicians, artists and corporate leaders to the nearest world, alpha centauri. With all the money and influence of all the most powerful people in the world, the project, dubbed Northern star, was kept secret till it was ready for launch. Although it was the most advanced thing on earth at the time, it couldnt fit more than 2000 people. 500 in the luxury area and 500 in the standard housing area and 1000 in the ''human cargo'' area. The human cargo was for the poor people who were taken to the stars because of their construction, farming and other basic skills (including breeding...) while the standard housing area was for the scientists and other people with advanced skills that would be needed in establishing the colony. The launch and early parts of the the mission were problem free except for a few minor technical problems, but the people living in the luxury area treated the people living in the human cargo area like slaves. They were beaten for no reason, sometimes had to go without food for days and many died in accidents, starvation and murder by the luxury classes. The luxury class even made a game where they hunt the poor people with dogs and other tame/not so tame predators. That was it, the inhabitants of the lower quarters rose up against their opressors and massacred the upper classes and everyone else who helped them fight the rebellion. When the ship's main data bank was captured, the rebels found blueprints for advanced energy weapons, armor, ships, robots and even blueprints for an AI with human intelligence. I'll continue working on it soon. Got an essay and a few other things to do first.

Yeah... because a guy somewhere in the rear hole of the world (also called sweden, although it's a really beautiful rear hole) made up an empire on a text based forum game(a really small forum by the way) with the same abbrevation is going to make the people who own the rights to star trek angry. Oh no! They might even sue me for millions! Heheh, sorry, just kidding.

And yeah, i know but i couldnt come up with another name that sounds.... err, uniony and free.

And thanks, might take a while for me to update it though, i'm drowning in school work.
