Yes, they did some really really weird stuff, like being together (romanticly) because some guy thought he was a dragon and the other thought she was the owner. There's much worse stuff than that

I just have FF 8 and FF 9, but I'm not addicted to it at all. And cults?! reincarnations!? That is taking it WAY to far, yet I know one XD they try to do live-action roleplay at one of the local parks XD

Meh, i dont like JRPG's anyways. In the end i find most are about some gender confused guy who has to stop some huge evil force/creature/other thing.
