Wow, the dude looks like a killer! I may actually like this movie, especially if we get to see a dark side in Spock XD

well, nimoy's in the film, and besides, it'll be interesting to see what different people's take on some of the most famous characters in sci-fi history. i'm excited to see the results of their hard work. i know it isn't the orginal cast, but what would you have them do, the fans have been screaming for a tos film, scotty and mccoy are both dead, and the rest of the crew is over eighty years old!

personally i'd rather have a tng/ent movie but it still looks good with the new cast

again, the crew is old, and we're tired of seeing tng. as for publicity, ent would be a abd move seeing as nobody but me liked the show.

and they are all kind of old now..

If Enterprise is the one with Archer in it, then it is one of the best, as it isn't as nostalgical as the others

ENT is the one with archer, and i think it is the best.

DARN right!

Though if I had to ask for a movie that Paramount and them would make based on Star Trek, I would've asked for a mirror universe one. We don't get to see enough of the mirror universe in TOS and DS9, and we don't even hear from it in TNG or VOY! ENT had the best mirror universe episodes in my mind (2 parts = 1 ep I guess) and I really wanted to see more of the Terran Empire! A movie based around the events after Hoshi becomes Empress (and quite possibly based off of the book Mike Sussman wrote) would have been VERY new and eye-catching!

But trekkies and all want Star Trek to be all 'perfect mankind in the future' rather than realizing Star Trek is just a television show. Geez, even the actors and some of the crew said that. It may also have a bit of theology behind it, but the only way people started getting into the theology was by enjoying the show in the first place. Now that times are changing, most people think Star Trek as 'geeky' and 'stupid' (my friend said because of the character's being 'wimps') so having more about the mirror universe should be enough to change those peoples minds and entertain the rest of us! XD

Still, looking forward to the upcoming movie! Spock isn't the dark-looking one, that's actually the villain. Oh well, at least the villain looks cool.

ive got to say i might not watch this movie as i dint really like tos as kirk was just to stuck up look at me im the captian of the enterprise so im better than u look i can break the rules and get away with it.

well, he never really gets away with it, but if you ask the majority of fans will agree that Kirk's the best. i think so (obviously, he used to be my avatar, and will be shortly) also, I've heard some rumours that this film might incorporate the mirror universe, but at this stage, everything is just rumours
