Welcome to another week of Trafficshare! This one fortunately is on time (or at least by a hair!) Our main news comes way of Blue Planet experiencing technical difficulties. Of course all of our Trafficshare sites have been informed of this. It's going to be one of those wait and see situations though there will be more details to come.

We would like to remind you to please partake in our Trafficshare system (or at least once BP is fully functional again) and please join the communities of the other sites! You may not think it, but even one person makes a difference and there are some great sites as part of the Trafficshare system!

Section 31 Roleplay

Section 31 Roleplay is primarily a RPG-X Based Group, onto which we
roleplay on our 2 servers. We are a group of people aiming to create a
welcoming environment, onto which our officers can relax and enjoy their
time. We do not wish to burden anyone with lots of responsibilities, or
make them feel like they are not wanted, as everyone in our community
is!
Battlestar Valfreyja

Welcome to The Battlestar Valfreyja, BS-03. Have you got what it takes
to defend your 12 colonies against the Cylon threat. if you have. Enlist
aboard Virgon's own. See you at boot camp Nugget!.

The unfortunate news is right now, Section 31 is experiencing server/domain issues. The site is still down and unfortunately we've not received much word, except that they are trying to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Flash Trek: The Unofficial Forum

FT:TUF is a general site for sci-fi fans and a home away from home for many. Starting out as a basis for the Broken Mirror 3 flash game, FT:TUF has since expanded to become much more than just a sci-fi forum!


The Gathering

The Gathering is a haven for sci-fi fans alike. Not limited to one universe, the Gathering encourages everyone to join together to partake in its RPs and general discussion and sometimes even projects! It's not just Star Trek or Star Wars, this is our own world!

As far as site mechanics go, the general layout of the forum has indeed been changed quite a bit. We now have cut down on some of the unnecessary sub forums, while we have also given our roleplaying games separate categories, to ease congestion a bit, as we’ve also added another roleplaying game to our arsenal. Furthermore, a new skin is assuredly in the makings thanks in full to Darkwing, who has graciously offered his services in the matter.

The Avalon RPG has had a few updates to it, generally the same, as I am happy to announce that chapter 1 shall be ending soon. While it is ending, however, applications are more than welcomed. Furthermore, another RPG has opened shop in the Gathering, and the forum will probably enter a name change largely because we have merged with another forum, whose sole purpose used to center around the new RPG in our list. While I could bore you with the details, all I will say is that in the next update, I shall give details on this new RPG, for now, I’ll give you a name: “Forum Wars: Universal Conflicts”, and say that, very soon, it will be complete and fully open. Roughly by tomorrow or the day after, but rest assured, we’re working as fast as we can. Currently, the game is actually accepting applications, so feel free to join in.

Stormtrooper Lounge

Stormtrooper Lounge was created as a hangout for friends and like-minded people. Focusing mainly on Star Wars, Stormtrooper Lounge has a good mix of both Star Wars and general discussions, as well as some RPs and will be focusing primarily on the MMORP "The Old Republic. Stormtrooper Lounge will have an RP based Republic guild and everyone is welcome to join!

This coming week we expect to finish up some things, like the twitter feed and a possible IRC integration).

There have been some great discussions this week! Subjects include the story of the Alderaanian diaspora in the EU, the difference between Coruscant and Corellia, discussions of the book "Shadows of the Empire", discussions of our favorite Star Wars characters, preferred lightsaber blade color, and discussion of various parodies and posters and whatnot, as well as much more. Good times for sure!

Moulding Minefield
Moulding Minefield is a forum for those stepping into the world of art and animation. Moulding Minefield is a place where people can upload their content and get constructive criticism, ideas, opinions and more! Of course it's not just limited to traditional art or animation, all creative forms are welcome, including music, photographs etc!


Blue Planet General Update
As reported earlier, Blue Planet is experiencing some severe technical issues. For those of you who are at least somewhat tech savvy, it is an issue with the SQL database. Nothing much for data has been lost and members shouldn't experience too much for issues. The main thing that you will see is that the forums and threads are all mashed together, so you can post, however you will have to find the area you wish to post in first. We do sort of recommend that you only post unless you have to as one of our contingency plans may involve manually backing up the forum, so the fewer threads, the better.
On another note, before the technical issues, Blue Planet has been experiencing a bit of a down. We would like to remind people to use the Leave of Absence section if you intend to be gone longer then 48 hours. It helps RPLs know whether or not players are just disappearing, or if real life situations are getting in the way, especially with summer now in full swing!

Creative Suite
Unfortunately, due to the technical issues at Blue Planet, we will not be sharing any pieces from the Creative Suite this week.

The Water Cooler
Top Ten...
As is becoming regular on Blue Planet, we like to see what people's favourite things are. This week, we look at the people's top ten favourite books. With most of us being writers of some form, it's interesting to see what others read and to throw in your top ten list as well!.

RP Updates
All of the RPs seem to have experienced a major slump in activity recently. Of course now it can partly be blamed on tech issues, however, the life blood of Blue Planet is its RPs! They're a great way to relax and fabricate and in some cases, live out stories! So don't be shy, joining an RP is pretty simple really and is a lot of fun!

Stargate: SG-1 alternate reality. Archeology, science, and military
types alike must work together for the exploration of the universe and
the protection of our planet. Gear up, head out, and kick some alien
tale! Or make friends with them. Just survive to protect Earth and
return home.

Omega Base
The next generation of Stargate personnel travel to the Frontier Galaxy.
A new galaxy, new worlds, new cultures, and new enemies. What
adventures awaits the new generation of SGC personnel? Are you up to
the challenge?

Atlantis
The Pegasus Galaxy. The Lost City. New dangers await our Stargate teams
as they become the resident caretakers of the City of the Ancients. New
friends, new faces, new dangers, and a whole lot of new territory.


Darkwing Continuum

Existence itself is being threatened! With a dark and ancient threat
finally coming to light, secrets will be revealed and sides determined.
The pillars of the universe are about to fall and the only thing that
stands in the way of space being destroyed, is the crew of the
Darkwing...

The fate of the RP right now rests in the hands of forum activity. Options are being explored such as shortening the episodes that comprise the story arcs, however it may just be that DW:C is reaching the end of it's life, at least for now. More news will come along decisions regarding DW:C. If you wish to get involved in the decision making process, or just throwing your two cents worth in, a discussion will be started soon on our Facebook Page.

Solar Exodus

Set in the future where mankind has been forced to leave Earth after a

Annals of Lystra

manage to survive disease and rogue Warriors.

The Christian Crusade

Join Jake McCormick and the Crusade, Christians against the evils of
this Universe. Demonic forces are attacking all around - it is the
Redemption's job to lead the physical war. But they also understand a
much deeper purpose and strength than your average futuristic battle for
life.


Star Wars: Rebellion
People are chafing under Imperial Rule, and war is on the horizon. Maybe
you're a Jedi in hiding. Maybe you're a simple farmer, who decided to
join the fight. Maybe you're a diplomat, working the Rebellion
underground. You get to choose!
