Well, after finally watching episode one, I have the same conclusions as you, Darkwing.
The innuendo with Alex Kingston is a bit overbearing.

Re: Doctor Who Series 6
That was very interesting. Really interesting. And really cool to see more of the TARDIS plus the old skin!
Re: Doctor Who Series 6
I'm really beginning to believe that my original guess was too obvious. Like it just seems obvious to guess that the child is River Song so I'm not, especially with the latest episode. I know that doesn't really change anything by way of Time Lords and whatnot, but the TARDIS did give a clue to something of course.

Darkwing wrote:Ok so I just had a crazy idea. What if Gallifrey now exists? I mean think about this, the Doctor was erased from history, meaning everything he had done didn't happen, at least as far as I gather. So if this is the case, maybe Gallifrey was never put under the time lock or whatever?
all of the time war was in a time lock, its complicated it was sort of a battle outside of time. Galifray was originally out side of normal time, the time lords were 'above' time so to speak. so I somewhat doubt galifray will ever come into dr who again also you cant time travel on Galifray
Re: Doctor Who Series 6
It does seem unlikely, but that's something they haven't really addressed is that the Doctor was erased from existence, therefore so were his actions, however when Amy remembered him, so did Rory and River meaning probably everything he had done has returned to being the way they were.
This still leaves us with who the hell is the little girl?

Re: Doctor Who Series 6
The Girl, is likely an Awesome Plot.
But probably Amy's baby...and is some how an Time Lord.... or the Doctors Daughter.

Re: Doctor Who Series 6
You guys have to wait too. It's the new format Moffat wanted to go with this season, having a mid season break because to have a season ending cliffhanger has too long a wait, so I do believe this next episode is the final one until September, even for the Brits!
Re: Doctor Who Series 6
Mid season finale SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!
- Spoiler:
- So that was a pretty awsome episode most of the main characters except the daleks there. The the baby actually being flesh and then it's actually river song as we predicted, but damn them making me wait until september

Re: Doctor Who Series 6
Well I know there's a new writer writing an episode or two, he's one of the Torchwood writers though, correct? Personally I don't care, usually if they choose to let a new writer write, it's because they're good.
Also, I sorta expected this episode to be more cliffhangery, or maybe it was but with me predicting the outcome like a month or so ago it lessened the blow. Though I find the teaser much more cliffhnagery:

Re: Doctor Who Series 6
PS: I believe Rory to be the good man that River kills, I've thought this for some time too, unless it truly is River in the suit in the Impossible Astronaut who kills the Doctor because something bad is supposed to happen to him when River first meets him
Re: Doctor Who Series 6
So any ideas on what this surprise is Steven Moffat is gonna do through the summer? Only hint he gave is something along the lines of 11

Re: Doctor Who Series 6
Lee, we all know your repetitive opinion from the beginning of series 6, so I'll put this eloquently, shut up.
Yes, I may have just woken up
And i've said it before and I'll say it again, if you don't like the show, stop watching the show and whining about it.

Or atleast give him an German accent.... British Hitler...is weird. But I do agree they should of done more with him, than looking him in a cubard then forgetting about him.

Re: Doctor Who Series 6
I personally am glad they didn't, it would've detracted from what was more important if you ask me.
Re: Doctor Who Series 6
btw, did any Brit watch Hans Litten vs Adolf Hitler: To Stop a Tyrant / The Man Who Crossed Hitler? Very interesting.
One was a documentary, one a drama, about a lawyer who forced Hitler (before he came to power) to appear in a courtroom and proved he was responsible for the violent SA, and got him found guilty of perjury. They then went on to his suffering under Hitler and eventual death.
Apologies for lowering the tone, but it was a very well done program, not just for those with an interest in history.

Re: Doctor Who Series 6
Haven't seen it yet, but it's kinda funny, if an episode of doctor who "sucks," it's almost always considerably better than most TV show's "good" episodes
Re: Doctor Who Series 6
Forgot to mention my opinion of Saturdays Episode.
It was different, well not Different different, but different, good Different, but still different. IMO it was a very good episode, and reminds us that the Doctor, can be an Dick sometimes. 8/10
