DR Who: Series 6
From what tiny info on Series 6, this series is going to be very intense (including a format change, instead of 13 episodes straight, they're gonna air 6, end in a massive cliffhanger, and then some months later, play the last 7 episodes).
And in Torchwood news, S4 is named Miracle Day, the premise: one day, nobody on the planet earth dies. The next day, nobody on the planet earth dies. And the day after that and the day after that.
I really gotta start watching Torchwood, I've only seen the pilot

Re: DR Who: Series 6
you should watch it more. Apart from the director doing his best to stuff it full of homoerotica, it has a far more mature plotline. Good people can die needlessly, for example.Darkwing wrote:And in Torchwood news, S4 is named Miracle Day, the premise: one day, nobody on the planet earth dies. Re: DR Who: Series 6
Torchwood was a brilliant show, but they really overuse jacks ability to come back to life

Re: DR Who: Series 6
Well that's one of the interesting things I've read about Torchwood. As much as it's about the team, the show is actually singularly focused on Jack, so things that happen, are essentially for Jack's character development, like the people he loves and cares for dying and stuff like that.

Re: DR Who: Series 6
And also if he is the Face of Boe, part of his emotional journey in maturity. Cause come on, Jack's almost a carefree type of guy when we first met him in Doctor Who, he's irresponsible and whatnot, so he's gotta go throughout this change to become the wisest being that ever lived. That is of course if he "officially" is the face of boe.
Re: DR Who: Series 6
They sorta let on that he is the face of boe in DW, plus if you lived for 50 milion years or whatnot you'd be pretty wise to wouldn't you?

Re: DR Who: Series 6
Sort of but never confirmed. The only hint is that he grew up in Boeshane and was called the face of boe or something like that, but Davies and Gardner have never said specifically whether or not they are one and the same
Re: DR Who: Series 6
I've only watched torchwood a couple of times, but i just didn't like it. It was too damn silly, and the plots kind of sucked.

Yes. Especially as most of these alien activities occur in Wales.Thingy wrote:It was too damn silly...
However, if you are a Dr. Who fan, the plots seem mundane and straightforward in comparison.

Re: DR Who: Series 6
Well Torchwood must really be something, cause Doctor Who always has these very intense underlying stories and little things going on in it
Re: DR Who: Series 6
It was more for the average TV viewer with an IQ about 5, they didn't focus on story more on the relationships/action

Re: DR Who: Series 6
Well still, it's not very nice nor appropriate to insult all those who watch Torchwood by saying they have an IQ of 5. This is what's getting you closer to a temp ban there buddy, attitude and comments like that
Re: DR Who: Series 6
Jack the Face of Boe......ok
I never liked Touchwood, i watched the 1st season, then the 2ed series got a bit weird. Not the man loving juvan stuff, no well yeah that's still we...yeah, but the plots kinda got confusing, ... actually i forgot why i don't like Trouchwood.

I really liked Torchwood, far more than Dr. Who. But it must have been because of the sweaty mansex.
