Guys use to learn that quite fast... Girls don't... They use to spent their time from 14 to 18 yo jumping between relationships...

I think it's pretty even if you ask me. Guys jump relationships just as fast, if not faster than girls. Mostly because of that fun thing called sex drive. Good thing I don't have it

Well, there's the physical aspect, and also the personality.

For example, I know lots of girls that are "my type" personality wise, but not "my type" physically.

I see it as the peer pressure attached to looks. If anyoneman thinks they will be seen as hitting above their weight, chances are they'll have a go.
People are less swayed by this as they get older, but it'll never fully go away. You don't find a great personality at a club.

I find it difficult to read any emotion in text, i really rely on voice tone and facial expressions

I always found personality to be way more important than looks. looks can make me physically attracted to the person but for me I HAVE to be able to talk to them properly.

I completely agree. also certain hormones are released that actually make you mentally and emotionally attached to the person after sex. Also I have researched the biochemistry behind it and I have gathered that humans are designed to have long term relationships.

Which is why every couple that has sex always stays together in the long run and divorces never happen, right?

Well yeah, I mean we can re-produce and not just that, but for the proper development of a child, it is required for the most part that people be together for a fairly long period of time to properly raise the child.

I agree DW Humans NEED both parents in order to develop emotionally and psychologically without both parents there can be problems later on in life.

I have known you longer so I have a better idea, I just find phillys ideas unfounded so yea.

But his ideas are just a step down the line from mine. I don't believe in relationships. Marriage is the ultimate relationship. So if you can understand anti-relationship, you can understand anti-marriage. Plus, Alka's been here a few weeks less than I if memory serves correctly, so it's not about how long we've been here, it's that you're not willing to accept his ideas.

Okay. Most of the married couples I know are miserable and always say "man, I should have never gotten married" or something similar. They always complain that all their time is spent with their spouse and usually the wife spends all the money on frivolous things and, once the kids come around? Man, you are really financially screwed then.

Mind you, that's only most of the marriages that I've seen that haven't ended in divorce. Some of them are genuinely good and I'm really happy for them, like what you describe in Happy New Zealand. But yeah. Consumer United States of America =/= New Zealand. Happy now?

And I suppose I should clarify this: I'm only saying the current system doesn't work (for America.) If it changed, I could be agreeable with the idea. I dunno how it would change to do that, but that's all I'm saying.

My philosophy on systems is that if it's a system, it's broken. Therefore once a system becomes a system, it becomes flawed and broken, respectively.

well I guess in my 'scene' people see marriage as a promise between a Man Woman and God.

I also see Love as a choice. I choose to love people and it becomes habit and that makes me happy.

I want to marry someone eventually though I am willing to make it work and will only marry someone who is of the same attitude.
