The Internet decided to kick me in the ass

Instead of using my crappy 56k Modem i now have to use a crappy 24k Internet dongle, which i just wasted 48 hours trying to it to work. this probably doesn't deserve it's own topic, but I'm rather bored so i don't care.

what happened to the 56K one?

I'm not really sure, one day it works next day it won't even switch on.

Umm, is it plugged or whatever? That happened to my mom, she was sure it was plugged in, and she called Comcast and it wasn't...

I'm not that stupid, it was prob my cat, it beats up shadows and foxes, would't be surprised if she beat up the modem.

I have a Black Cat, he like, lurks... You have to be careful at night or not well - lit areas because he could literally be in a tiny hole and like scratch you when you get near... And are you suggesting my mom is stupid?? The Modem is like behind a desk, you can't look behind there unless you move the entire desk which is like 3 desks in one and weights like what, 120 Kilograms?

Why didn't you buy a better modem or get a better one than 24K?

Because if i were to buy a new modem it would cost about £50, and if i can just use an 24k Dongle i will.

We use Pound/Sterling not Euros, but it's probably some think around that

Depending who your internet provider is you should get a free wireless modem, BT,sky and vigin media have each gave me a free wirless router and modem. Most providers will give you a free one if you ring up and ask if that fails i find moaning alot, and exploiting legal loopholes helps.

Well, the Euro is almost equivalent to the U.S Dollar because the entire European Union economy collapsed only because of Greece.....

And I only think it's cheap because my family is like rich, we have the biggest house, I like get like 100$ stuff for my birthdays and Christmas and everything.....

Wait... Our economy just collapsed? That's new.. Last time i checked, the standard Swedish income was higher than the Standard US citizen's income, income disparity was still minimal and a pretty big chunk of Europe made it through the crisis pretty good (especially Sweden because we've alredy been through our own little crisis, and developed some measures to make it less painful when it happens again)

Well... Actually there are a couple of countries... The diference is... Greece government has an higher corruption level than most others (except Italy, I still don't know how they get away with that), and also has too much bureaucracy to worry about, until something actually is made...

Using one common currency is a horrible idea, if one country messes up, everyone else is fucked up... That's why people in Poland are protesting against using the Euro, because they don't want to change their constitution, wait, I mean make a new one... And they still want to use a currency that's been apart of their countries history, but the E.U says, they have too..... Why does the U.K get away with this?

Actually, the UK isn't the only one getting away with it, Sweden and Denmark use the Crown, and the're part of the EU. And human rights are much older than that, but yes, they didn't become official in the entire world till the UN (not the US alone) made the Universal Human Rights.
