I bet a lot of you don't even remember these icons... I was kind of sorry when we lost them...

Stewi's designs. That must have been at least a year ago.

You alright Raffitz? I mean, you've got a bit of teariness there. Almost sentimental about a forum you've been on for a year.

Does anyone actually remember the first post?
Only Dw really would.

The first topics were deleted when 'pruning' was implemented, so unless DW remembers, we'll never know.

And DW says his memory isn't that great, so it appears that post has been lost entirely.

Re: Internet Archive...
I think a generic 'welcome to the forum' sticky was the first post. But I didn't pay exact attention. Back then, this was the second forum I'd joined, and looked to JTull as an expert forum-er. I don't know if any of you remember why the spam thread was locked.

Do you even remember why it was locked?
EDIT: wait I think I remember. The pages got too long. It took too long to scroll down.

You think he would actually allow another making of a SPAM thread?
Besides I was the one who created it.
I think I remember Jtull saying you had to use it for post count increase.

Re: Internet Archive...
ell Paulwall took up the challenge to get a post count ten times bigger than everyone else's via the spam thread. I took up the gauntlet and proceeded to out-spam him until someone (sanely) locked the topic.

Re: Internet Archive...
I think that was even before I joined the forum... that's awesome, raffitz...
Re: Internet Archive...
Just ran accross the site on wikipedia while searching for the follower to TeraByte (I found out it was PetaByte, and when I went to the wikipedia page about petabyte, it said the internet archive occupied 3 Petabyte and was growing at a rate of 100 terabyte per month...)...
Then I went there, and tried some stuff... After a while, I searched for this forum... I'm just sorry it only contained this instance... There are other sites with much more instances... Of course, it was also funny to check out previous versions of google...

Re: Internet Archive...
hm, an archive of the net, interesting. and as for those graphics, it has most definitely been a very long time. i do still have the skin file somewhere though. as for the first post, hmmmmmmmm, let's see, what would I have changed that welcome to your forum first post thing to? hm, i remember telling emma to change her avvie and what else, let's see, it might have had to do with the BM2 challenge. hmmmm
Re: Internet Archive...
Emma? Who is that?
And as for the old skin, i can't even remember the one that was here when i joined.

Re: Internet Archive...
see, i've never quite gotten a design that suits us yet, and i don't really know what to go for. the options for design are somewhat limited if you don't know CSS, and even if you do things aren't easy with forumotion. it's a pity i can't like switch this whole thing to another server, but oh well, i have to work with what i have
Re: Internet Archive...
MAybe we should all pitch in. Make a topic about what we all think represents this forum and encorporate that into the new skin.

Well, he's got a military grade assault rifle, full military grade combat equipment including a bullet proof west and he's in the NATO and EU Battlegroup command base, so i dont think he really minds.

Re: Internet Archive...
The red theme was one of my favourites... I even made the background (the red & black photoshop cloud filter, with a touch of "Tesselation" by Flaming Pear to make it a seamless pattern)... Before that, was the skin of those icons I posted... Before that was before I joined, so I don't know... After the red theme was the BM3 theme, which I totally disliked, but never said anything against it... I like the current theme (I do, honestly, DW removed the parts that I disliked), even though it could be improved...

i'm loosely working on something better than this. it's just hard to find a decent balance between design and functionality with forumotion
