Vedic wrote:Yeah the Gou'ould have a organic-ish look with there ships, and the Asgard are just good designs with good textures, i mean Over-advanced and better looking than Atlenaten ships
(I've no idea how to spell Atlantean, so it most likely slept wrong)
Goa'uld ships ain't organic, neither look like that... They look a lot more "rocky" then the others in my opinion... Wraith ships do have an awesome body-paint! : D
And yeah, asgard rules...
Darkwing wrote:Yeah, to be honest I was a bit disappointed with the Atlantean ships. I kinda expected the ancients to continue with their elegant yet powerful look, but honestly, their ships (save maybe the puddle jumpers and Atlantis) are kinda ugly looking and don't really look like Ancients designed them
Well... True, but if you make comparisons between Goa'uld Technology and Asgard Technology, you could see were the Goa'uld got their inspiration... Probably in some Aurora...
And also I liked the Aurora's design... Ruthless and Powerfull, without the need to justify their actions... : D
Re: Sketches and Blender
I don't think the goa'uld have every seen a Atlantean ship.so the they can't of got inspiration form them (from an In-universe POV)

Re: Sketches and Blender
yeah and the atlanteans had all that octagonal shapes going on and stuff that they completely neglected on the Aurora classes, plus all those light transparent blues and stuff that made that Atlanteans advanced looking, again not anywhere on the Aurora or that ugly ass destiny

Well... The Aurora is a pure warship... So I guess they were more thinking in it than actually making it beautiful... The Destiny... Well... that is a pretty old ship, and probably was made to survive extremely harsh conditions...
Re: Sketches and Blender
Well i guess the Atlanteans made them ugly for a reason, the humiliation of getting your asses kicked by a butt ugly ship.

An ugly ship is more intimidating than a pretty ship ^^
Re: Sketches and Blender
Still doesn't explain why they don't look Atlantean. Even if you make an ugly looking design, it will still be characteristic of its designer and the Ancient ships don't look like they were designed by Ancients. No it doesn't have to be beautiful or anything, but it's still gotta look at least remotely Atlantean
Re: Sketches and Blender
Well... The inside does look lantean... So lets try this...
Compare a Warship with a Cruise Ship... The Warship is ugly, with tight hallways and little space... The Cruise Ship is gorgeous, with large corridors and lots of space... Maybe this would work?

Back to the actual topic...
ENGINE RECESSES COMPLETE! That's quite an accomplishment considering how much *fun* I had with the booleans. I give a glimpse of it's *spendor* mid-boolean.
Later, after the fixes, showing new drone chutes.

Re: Sketches and Blender
Hey anyone like little tiny greebles? It's plugin for blender, but I think you'd be able to adapt it to the platform of your choosing.
Really nice stuff, though It'd be better If I could get python off the ground.
