I liked V for Vendetta, but I found a tad confusing as to what his identity was or something like that. It's been years since I seen it though so perhaps a second viewing would make everything clearer

I am currently watching it now and V's identity is us all, things in the film make us think it is one person but if you add them together V is more of an idea than a person, V is our longing for freedom, justice etc... and is a bit of us all.

I've only recently understood what it's about, i know alot of people who don't get it as it takes a certian level of intelligence to understand the plot thoroughly, or just watch it 5/6 times like i have
