Re: Hobby Survey
(You forgot Oldsmobile aswell)
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!, clearly that Car is terrible, Oh, no one is allowed to like the Mercedes SL Black, as one of my favorite shows (Top Gear) says its Rubbish, and i agree
Oh also why do british people call gas petrol?
Anyway the Audi is terrible, i think the Oldsmobile Ninety Eight or the Oldsmobile Bravada (1991–1994 Production Vesrion Anyway) or the Oldsmobile Eighty Eight are better.
The Eighty-Eight and the Ninety-Eight are Luxury Cars and the Bravada is an SUV, they are better.

Re: Hobby Survey
audi is not terrible audi is awesome they dont fall apart after 2 minutes like your american cars and they look awesome i mean just look how cool it is
and top gear never said audi r8 or the slk black were terrible as i seem to remember they liked both cars.
and we call petrol because that is its name petrol is short for petroleum and im gonna be honest calling it gas is actually the stupid thing because its clearly a liquid

Re: Hobby Survey
it's funny how I was never really interested in cars. Well, I'm into their looks, but that's probably just the designer in me doing that. It may have helped if we had actually owned a car throughout the better part of my childhood and when we did own one, not some 15 year old second hand piece of junk.
Re: Hobby Survey
I never said they said that the R8 was terrible, but they did say the Sl Black was "And im sorry, but it just isent worth it" and "What were they using for insperation, wait i know, a pile of rocks" and "No give in the suspension" and "The Rear tires cost 350 each" and "Turning Circle of a Moon" and um "The rear spolier comes up at 75 Mph, that means your speeding"

oops to tell you the truth, I don't know.
Re: Hobby Survey
I still think oldsmobiles are the best, i have had my Oldsmobile Bravada for a few years now, we got it from our relitives, and they bought it in 1991 new, and it is fast, not falling apart, the only thing wrong with it is the tires that havent been replaced for a few years, it has a low amount of miles on it for how old it is.
Re: Hobby Survey
to point it out they didnt think it was that bad because Jeremy Clarkson actually owns oneEvil Person wrote:I never said they said that the R8 was terrible, but they did say the Sl Black was "And im sorry, but it just isent worth it" and "What were they using for insperation, wait i know, a pile of rocks" and "No give in the suspension" and "The Rear tires cost 350 each" and "Turning Circle of a Moon" and um "The rear spolier comes up at 75 Mph, that means your speeding"

Re: Hobby Survey
in driving class yesterday, we finally got to see a vid of a smart car crash. i used to make fun of those cars, but after seeing that crash vid, I think I may have to get one. Like there can't be too many more vehicles out there safer than that thing.
Re: Hobby Survey
Good old European standard cars.

Re: Hobby Survey
Oh, ok. Here, it's less formal. You do a few lessons in a car with an instructor, read up on your own, and then go and do the tests.

Re: Hobby Survey
no no, here there's 20 hours of classes, 10 hours of driving class where you learn from basic maneuvers to defensive driving, then you get your road test done from a guy who's apparently a real ass, pray to god that you passed the test and get your license. All in all, costs about $550, but you save nearly 400 dollars a year on insurance, so in the end, you win
Re: Hobby Survey
Oooh, you're doing an extra part to reduce insurance? Yep, we have something similar.

Re: Hobby Survey
In america, you get a Learners Permit when you are 16 IF you pass the written test(in most states the age is 16) and then drive with a licensed driver and log 60 Hours or 600 Hours (i think) in a log book, then take your exam when you drive around a course, then you get a Jr. License that allows you to drive from 6 A. to 11 P.M. (i think thats the times) and then you get a full license.
Re: Hobby Survey

Re: Hobby Survey
you can take drivers ed (and get a permit at 15) at 14.5 years but if you want a permit (without taking a class) then you must be 16.
