At sublight the advancements have been less dramatic, simply due to the nature of the laws of physics, but currently there is only one ship which has reached speeds over half the speed of light, the TundraWolf could reach something up to .9 .
However, it would be completely invisible, and virtually inoperable due to space-time relativity, and it only holds a couple of people, very light weaponry and no armor. The rest of the ship is dedicated to an immensely powerful, unstable nuclear drive. The closest other ships have come is somewhere between .5 and .9 for some experimental unmanned drones, but for any decently large ships at the Puma flagship, reaching up to .5, it beats almost anything, being half ship, half massive unguided missile. Other fast ships are some private-funded rebel ships, most pirate skiffs, (where speed is paramount) and private unarmed yachts.

The reason the pirates are so fast in sublight, but relatively slow in FTL, is that they don't really bother with FTL when tactics are concerned, because activating a FTL drive is like poking a secret service agent in the eyes and say where you are going. FTL travel is very easy to track, so pirates and other subversive elements tend to stick around the outer colony where surveillance is slacked and justice is non-existant, despite the "New Order".

Actually, since the start, we say that it's impossible to track Quantum FTL... Or we could have been destroyed a couple of times and the 'Scarlet fire' could have been destroyed...

I suggest you reading what was already suggested on the course of the story... Cause... we decided that only incoming FTL jumps could be detected in perfect conditions... Outgoing jumps have too many variables to be tracked, and Quantum FTL does not ocur in our space (Cause then ships could arrive 0.9 speed if light at will...), so, impossible to track by the sensor technology available in 2150's...

hm, my last post almost feels a bit like a mid-season cliffhanger

OK, so it's time for a recap. Now a lot has happened in this part so forgive me if I forget/skip parts.

It's been 3 months since Part 2. Earth is attacked by Haven and there are very few survivors. The main NO government is killed. Doyle finds Van Toren, but Haven kills Van Toren. Doyle escapes with Destral because Jacquelyn now in command of the Scarlet Fire rescues them. There is a stand-off between Jacquelyn and Doyle, but Doyle convinces her that he is the real Severus and has been funding the Enigma Corp in an attempt to bring down the NO. Doyle is now the head of the NO and Jaq the head of Enigma. They leave the Sol system heading for Vertis II to add more tech to the Scarlet Fire in order to try and fight Haven.
Meanwhile, John Hunter, a pirate of sorts has been watching the turmoil below. He unleashed Haven in an attempt to rid the galaxy of his opressors (or something like that). He rescues a medic (I believe). Haven then attaches to a ship and leaves Sol.
At Vertis II, the Scarlet Fire goes in for augmentation. Jaq and Destral leave the ship and head into the starport (which is in space BTW). Doyle is reviewing secret files on Haven and comes across a security video roughly ten years old of Destral defeating Haven with a mysterious weapon. Doyle tries to find Destral who is looking for his old ship, the evil deed. Doyle heads into the starport with a squad of marines. Doyle comes across a shadey character who knows things. But Doyle is too late, Destral already came to him and got his old ship back. Doyle heads back to the Scarlet Fire as he finds out that Destral is leaving the starport. Destral jumps away and the Scarlet Fire gives chase. However the predicted coords are off and the Scarlet Fire jumps into a nearby system that Haven has just destroyed. Destral meanwhile, at Umbra's Inferno is searching for Bloodcutter, a special and very old weapon. He is attacked by pirates and meets up with a couple other characters. The Draaki (an alien race) intervene and protect Destral from the pirates (?).
While this is happening, the Scarlet Fire confronts Haven. Doyle sets the ship to crash into the nearby sun, hoping Haven will attach to the ship and be destroyed by the sun. The crew evacuate and Doyle watches from an escape ship as the ship is destroyed. After he jumps away, a fragment of Haven exits the sun, surviving.
Doyle heads back to Vertis II prepared to confront Jaq. But before he can, a mysterious man takes him into a small ship and they jump away from Vertis II. Doyle recognizes it as Vertis I. The mysterious man informs him that an evil worse than Haven exists, and that Haven was created to defeat this enemy. Doyle then finds out that the man is a mutated and dying Destral from the future. Destral touches Doyle and transfers some sort of energy before vaporizing. Doyle escapes as Haven attacks Vertis I.
Doyle returns to Vertis II where they are preparing to evacuate because Haven is coming. Doyle and the present day Destral meet up at the space port. Jaqcuelyn confronts Doyle and once again in a standoff, Doyle informs them that he is now Destral and that Bloodcutter is the evil that Haven was created to defeat, but failed and that Haven has been destroying everywhere Bloodcutter has been, trying to destroy it. Devising a plan to destroy Haven or make it stronger, Jaq Doyle and Destral leave the space port going to Umbra's Inferno, trying to lure Haven in with bloodcutter.

While all this is happening, Borrego has found out that Rachel is a spy and some sort of attack happened (sorry, haven't really been following that plot line)

Wow. The plotline is like a ball of string.

i know, it's really morphed a lot. It's actually a very good story, very interesting, should make a fun read in the future and a fun read for anyone following the RP but not playing.

Yeah, it definitely is. Especially as noone wants to disregard the flow of the story. The coordination this time round seems good.

So like my charictor is in an Escape pod, just go with it, its so i can get him back into the story

...And that marks the exit of Doyle for now. The cliffhanger is in what, 2 pages? I hope for this one to be good!

well, with Part IV coming up, it is my goal to unite all of the plots into one. Meaning JPB's plot comes to an end and merges with the focal one and it is my goal to get some other players back into the game like ED and Shem and help bring new ones like FG into it

not really. to be honest, i think we're all ignoring your plot now because you seem to be ignoring the main plot, that beeing bloodcutter is the end-all weapon

So a question for you guys. Do you wanna have this RP wrap up with Part 4 or keep going indefinitely? I don't care either way

Generally, it's better to end things before they go downhill. This one has gone really well.

kk, there's the small possibility it could carry into Part 5, but if it does, it won't be a full 20 page chapter

and thus ends Part 3, with our heroes facing an impossible challenge! Part 4 will open soon and Part 4 will be the last part. How will the New order universe end? Tune in to find out! OK, so Doyle Jaq and Destral are on the station where they capture Haven. Oddly enough, Haven becomes very docile. Doyle has some weird spasm and Destral and Doyle start glowing with some sort of energy. Haven then explodes into a stream of particles and is absorbed into Doyle and Destral. Destral leaves for his ship, but Doyle gets a gut feeling and goes to save Destral. Suddenly, there is a large explosion. Destral is almost killed in the explosion, but Doyle pulls him out. Seeing Bloodcutter out of the corner of his eye, Doyle realizes that Bloodcutter is trying to klll them. Doyle sends Destral off to his ship as he goes for bloodcutter. Another explosion causes debris to block Destral from going after Doyle. Doyle grabs the sword and rams it through the severely weakened walls causing the place to decompress. Narrowly escaping, Destral and Jaq see the station totally destroyed.
Getting reports of the explosion, Borrego is sent in to investigate. He picks up Destral to inquire what happened. Destral tells him, but suddenly Jaq's ship appears. She claims that she is Haven and will destroy the Light and Spirit if Borrego doesn't hand over Destral.
Suddenly, Umbra's Inferno begins collapsing into a star and Jaq's and Borrego's ships start to get pulled in. The Inferno completely collapses and the two ships are released. Disoriented, Destral watches out of the viewscreen, as Bloodcutter, now the size of several planets and with the star of Umbra's Inferno at its core, pass by. Destral turns around to see a disfigured man standing there. He claims he is Bloodcutter here to purify the universe.

Well it looks like James dropped off the face of the universe, so how can i fit in again, i dont see a placeto fit in, currently my person is in an escape pod floating in space (Dont ask how i got there, i dont know, i was trying to get back into the story)

where exactly in space were you, do you remember?

Well i was on that ship that we had in the beggining of the game before your original charictor died, i was in a coma at the end of episode 1, then i tried to come back in at the beggining of episode 3, so i stated i ended up in an escape pod.

well, suppose I should start Part 4 soon. On a good note, I think I came up with the next RP, the only thing, it is basically only for the regular players. The starting plot is mildly confusing to begin with, so I imagine it will just escalate. But yeah, seeing as by the end, only the regulars are the ones playing or willing to keep up, the new RP will be made such that new players can join, but only if they're really serious

well, i do post the updates any time a player requests. They're pretty easy to follow

And thus begins the final chapter, where the shape of all we know will be destroyed and rebuilt. This may be the first RP with a proper ending too

well, there are no sides, it's bloodcutter vs everyone else. And no one is on bloodcutter's side, besides bloodcutter is like the ultimate weapon, it doesn't need help

hey, an RP, I like RPs, seems like a lot of stuff to read through though, but I can give it a stab

Solar, trust me, dont enter this late into the RP, i would advise you start with the next one, wich should be around in about a week

we do seem to yes. If you can fin a place to wiggle in, by all means, do so, but like EP said, this one's near its end and it may be easier to jump in at the beginning of one rather than the end

...And I think it's dead. Perhaps I should write a more closing post and call it a day. Similar to what the intro/what the story's about post. This one is just the epilogue
