No conversation started yet. Just a thought; can I make the map for the Solar System rp and I assume there's other Alien Empires?

I vote no. It will get in the way. But its for DW to decide.

no. This is not like DOF or any of that. This type of game is very heavily monitored and is 100% about the story. The mistake I made last time was to not ban meganew from playing, that's what ruined the old one. I'm not making the same mistake twice. If you play and uber, or do things more for your self interest that really has no relevence to the story, you will be kicked out.

oh, one other thing, these types of RPs have lots of subtleties and hints what to do in the story and what not to do. If you consistently miss those hints then it may not be the best type of RP for you

If you like stat RPG's than this is not the RP for you.

Okay, but even if I'm not taking part, can I make the errr...illustrations?

From what I see from the rules and what you posted, I think that a faction that is fighting the new order will be fine. Right?

Extremely strong material (terranium?!)

Ion engine
Faster than light travel
colonization
defense platforms

ok, I need one of the older more experienced members to play for a while because I am getting so many messages and whatnot as people seem to not know how to play this type of game all of a sudden. So please, one of you older folks who used to play these please come and show the newbs how it's done

Okay, so there should be nuclear missiles, railguns and laser + ion engine and experimental Light Speed Drive.

But still instead of guessing, why don't we make a technology tree?

Beacuse that goes against the idea of a stat free rpg.

It also helps against ubering and non-real life rpgs.

I'm guessing that is that is the positive side of a tech tree, Borg.

And we really should have a map.

To answer your question:

Delta Van Toren was banished on a desolate moon, but found the old wreck of the Nightcrawler. He manages to charge the ship's batteries enough to get him in orbit, this however attracts the attention of someone Van Toren knew who was passing by. He comes and Van Toren and Addar lift the Nightcrawler off nd use Addars ship to fuel it up enough for a jump. They then pick up JPBs character and head to an abandoned BSES outpost where they fuel up and get supplies. There they meet James, a resistance fighter. They take him along. They then go to a space station outpost for assistance from a friend of James, but it turns out that its New Order and the NIghtcrawler is attacked. Making a sponatneous jump, the damaged Nightcrawler exits, drifting towards a planet with three suns which Van Toren claims to be very important. Addar takes the escape pod and lands on the planet o find help. The Nightcrawler however loses orbit and crashes as well.

You can be a mercenary in the village that i'm in.

No map and No tech tree. Its a free RPG.

Leach, we're firing at ED's vehicle, we haven't seen you coming. Evil Person, were a 45 minute walk away from the ship, so you can't just pull a flare out from under the seat, unless of course you ripped the seat out and you're carrying it on your back

SO last night i was up till 3 in the morning working and i went to sleep. I just woke up and it 11:48. I was planning on waking up a 10. the would be 7 hours witch is usually plenty of sleep. I need to get some "morning" caffeine and then post. Oh, and are you going to wrap up part one soon?
