Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
Yep!
As I've been taught, "widen out" in your association.
I used to be extremely shy when I was in elementary school, and when I hit middle school, I decided that I didn't want to be left out anymore, so I started talking to people. And here I am now... A social butterfly.

70's/80's cult British comedy about the French resistance in WW2. Sorry, obscure to most people.

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
Hehe, yeah, it ran on channel 4 like a year ago. It was pretty good.
The translators decided to name it ''Allo, allo hemliga armén'' (literally Allo, allo the secret army) for some reason...

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
So is it a comedy? I mean was it meant to name it Allo, allo hemliga armén or was it a translator problem.
hehe reminds me of a Voyager Episode:
Janeway: Coffee Black
Replicator: Do it Yourself

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
*Stops making out with the hot waitress*
Oh yes, my sugar pumpkin?
Not sure if i remember it correctly, but i think it went like that. @Borg it's a line from the show. Renee's wife would call for him, often when he's making out/going to make out with that hot waitress with the black hair. Cant remember her name...

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
ok, screw the Viper, would be easy in a poly program but it horrible in a spline program. Too many cut away sections. A pro modeler probably could do it, but it's out of my skill range
Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
so what are you going to do? you know ive been thinking (yep theres a first time for everything) what is our purpose here? i originally came for BM3 but now i don't know why Im here.... I just am

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
Yeah... It's the same for me. I came here to follow BM3's progress and help out if i could. I've been logging on quite frequently since then... It's kind of become a part of the daily routine, like checking my email.

I just joined.....but here's my story:
Most of my members from other forums have registered here so I decided to register. I also wanted to see how other FlashTrek/Star Trek Forums were going!
Then of course, to see how bm3 was going.

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
Well, we've said it before so I'll say it again, a good chunk of why most of us are still here is because we're a community. Heck, we probably talk together more than some people we know in real life. It's sorta like being home, you can relax here, worldly pretenses are ignored and irrelevant here (except shem and his sheep:P ) here we're just people. There's nothing separating us unlike in the real world. We understand each other to a degree and if you think about it, it's a microscopic version of world peace. We're not separated by race, religion, belief, accent, here we are united...usually. I dunno, I just know I feel I can be who I want to be here I don't know if you guys feel the same. And one other thing, we keep this place clean unlike most forums. Most forums have trolls and the F word as every second word and if you try to start a meaningful conversation, or just have fun and be yourself, you get bashed by some internet idiots.
Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
I totally agree. Here i can be more of myself because i don't have to worry about somebody at school or home making a big deal out of something i said. I came for BM but i stay for the social aspect. I have more of a social life here than in real life.

I agree, it's refreshingly different to the stuff I do in real life (say nothing of SHEEP!!), mainly because you're not under any pressure to conform.

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
I am totally in agreement. I will never leave this place, if I can help it. I want to stay here as long as I can because I love the community, and to be honest, some of you guys are better than my friends in real life. Not that I'm saying I dont love my friends equally, it's just...this community is more like me than most of my real life friends. I guess the word is, I 'connect' more with this group. I can relate to it more.
Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
Aaaaaaaaah.... Finally. It's the easter holidays! No school for an entire week and a day! God it feels good...
I'll try to finish the ME1 review this week. Maybe ME2 review too while i'm at it.

I get 3 days off if we dont have many snow days. But since we had so many, we also have to make one day up at the end of the year.
