Are you sure? Even if Dell bought them, and dell.. does have some decent computers, Alienware is still one of the most powerful computers, unless you build your own

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
Dell DOES NOT have some decent computers. I have yet to encounter one, it's got be about as rare as a windows OS with no BSOD
Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
I have to agree with DW on this one. All the dells i've seen have been crap.
But alienware can make decent computers, that probably hasnt changed. Sill, building your own is much better than buying that overprized piece of crap.

all the ones I've used never worked from the get-go
Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
Then your really bad luck... out of all the computers I've had, none of them had any problems hardware wise.. sometimes I had software issues, but that was my own fault.. XD

you are the only person I have encountered so far who's had no troubles with Dell. Everyone else really hates them around here because they don't work
Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
I don't know why.. and most of my school computers are dell... the ones in our tech lab and stuff like that.. only a few have had any serious issues with them..

nope, all of them here go banana split. And I've used a lot of Dells (because our school uses them too) and they were brand new too.

Maybe Dell just ships faulty equipment to other countries...

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
Yeah... My dell broke down several times before finally dying completely. It's cost me a crapload in repair costs.
And i have really crappy luck with computers. My gaming rig has broken down like 2 times since i built it, it's still not working, but i'm too lazy to go get it repaired again... But it's probably my fault, since it was the first time i built a computer. Must have frakked up somewhere...

Yeah, don't give up! You can have awesome features like this on a computer!

BTW, I tried the program on my laptop, and it didn't work. Perhaps needs a little tweaking, like with sensitivity?
The settings menu on the program is very vague, so it would have to be modded from source.

Ah, ok. It looks cool, but I would have thought it would use up more energy than it saves too.

Well, I was thinking about using it for prank purposes anyways.
Reverse the functionality, put the monitor to sleep when the person sits down to the computer.

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
that's too bad, I have oodles of stuff to draw. Hey, here's an idea, maybe if Crimson Bullet picks up and stuff, you could do some writing for it, once you hace a feel for its direction and everything that is. Just an idea for when you find yourself bored

you know what? I;m tired of my life. I do the same old thing day after day, and I hide from the world, I want to go on an adventure.
Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
Visit Europe! There are so many different things everywhere you look, I don't think you could be bored.
However, the cost of a flight or ferry may be excessive.

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
I had a similar inkling myself not too long ago...to get out and do something...it quickly passed.
Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
I've been feeling this way for months. You gotta remember toa, I spent my whole life avoiding everything, you didn't, I can tell that already. I have done basically the same style thing, every day of my life since I was 12.
Shem, a trip to Europe would be cool, I wish I could finance something like that. I dunno why, but I keep feeling limited by this whole "I have to go to school in the fall" thing. Everything I do and think, it's like, nope, can't do that, I have to go to school. I thought school was supposed to better your life for the future, so why do i keep feeling limited? Maybe it's a teenager thing

Re: Awesome Chat Mark II: Return of the General Chat
I know EXACTLY how you feel!
The structure of college is killing me. It's completely against my nature.
When I do my work, I feel like a machine. It's cut my wings so that I can't fly.
My only escape is the spirituality, but even that is suffering. My mind is divided between God and medical terms. LOL
My passions are religion and literature, and my line of work won't involve either of those. Yes, it will be a means to an end. It will enable me to do the things that I love, but that doesn't mean I'll like it.
I suppose doing things that you don't want to do because you have to is part of growing up.
------------------------
BTW, I suggest doing something you've never done before. Even simple things will work. An Idea:
Try altering your outlook on people. Enter a social setting, and introduce yourself to people that you don't know very well, or that you wouldn't usually talk to. Before engaging in conversation, put it in your mind that the person/s you will be talking to are your potential friends, or even long term acquaintances.
Within engagement, ask the simple conversational questions. Find a common ground. Be animated, use hand gestures while speaking. Be inspiring. When you relate an idea, clearly indicate your passion. Block off all preconceptions that you may have of the person you are conversing with.
Observation is OK, but negative criticism is what we want to avoid. (Ignore minor flaws.) Dignify people with unconditional honor and love. Put them before yourself.
Don't worry about what others may think of your first impressions. Let confidence radiate from your bones. Treasure your individuality, don't be afraid to voice your opinions when a subject arises.
Not everyone will understand or appreciate you, but those who do will cherish your existence. And if you nourish the bond created, you will cherish them as well.
