Hear hear. I personally dont think rap should be considered music, just something else entirely.

Rap is music, just happens to be 70% crappy music. Or, well, depends on what kind of ''rap'' you're talking about. The punkers behind us in the park were listening to some kind of... rap...ish...thing... It was basicly a guy saying random words fast with choppy, unorganized music in the background. Like my friend said, that's not music, it's a guy hopped up on ectasy who found a mic, a spoon and a frying pan.

Rap is basicly music with (often lame) poetry as lyrics. Saying that rap is not music is like saying techno or house is not music.
