Ok, this will probably be tweaked when actual combat occurs. ok, i suppose we'll combine Rp and logisitcal styles of combat. higher number give you an advantage, but may not garuntee your success.

This is all turn based, so you can only do one attack and one defense per turn. USe strategies to help defeat your enemy. Where this is an RP, you will play it out until either somebody wins, somebody is defeated, somebody surrenders or both sides get destroyed. more than one party can engage in combat as long as they are in the same place.

With regards to physical combat like Jedi fighting sith, it will be played out the same way that ships woul;d be played but with a fwe minor adjustments.

Here are some examples:
Ship to Ship Combat.
Your initial post must include all ships that are engaged in combat. They must all be in the system at the time of comabt. If you have ships elsewhere in the galaxy, you can call them in for support, but remember, it is real time and it will take time for your ships to arrive. Every time a ship arrives or leaves or is destroyed, you must repost your fleet stats, in something like this manner:

Number of Class of Ship in combat (ex: 5xJedi Starfighter)
Stats of each class (ex: Hull, Shields, Weapons)

That must be done for each class of ship involved in the combat. Then, one post per turn, you can attack and/or defend. Their is a maximum of one attack and defense per turn. You don't always have to do both in your turn. IN your turn, you can hail ships in your fleet, or the enemy. A post might look something like this:

1xJedi Starfighter
Hull: 150
Shields:None
Weapons: Blasters

The Jedi starfighter came in for a close pass, opening fire on the sith cruiser's engines. One of the four engines was destroyed.

"Darth Face, surrender now or have all your engines destroyed!"

If you are in a position where you need to defend, then the defense must be posted before the attack, otherwise the attack will not have been countered and you will suffer the damage. Combat will be heavily modded, as there will have to be a point where the battle ends. Multiple players are allowed to join in the combat at any time during the combat, as long as they follow the real time rules of transport. Some combats will be very short, others could possibly turn into full out wars lasting the duration of the RP, anything's possible.

The Player can in fact die in this RP. If the player is attacking, the player must be on one of the ships involved in the combat. The player must state which ship he/she is on in the initial post where you posted your stats. Should that ship be destroyed, the player will be killed. We will not involve escape pods for ease of organization.

In the even that the player dies, you can create a whole new character, but you will have to start from the bottom up. For example, if you die, then enlist in the Jedi Order, you will have to be trained to become a Jedi Knight.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Combat involving duels with Lightsabers and Jedis or Siths

Should a combat arise between those with force powers and lightsabers, the initial post of each player must post their stats including:

Weapons
Force Mastery Level
Significant Force Power(s) (this is simply your force strength)
HP level (starting at 100%)

With these fights, force mastery will be necessary. A higher force mastery will easily destroy a player with a lesser force mastery level. Again, like space combat, the battle is over when somebody wins, somebody surrenders, both parties are destroyed etc.

Again, a player can be killed in combat.

Also, multiple players can join or exit the fight, as long as they are in fact there in the RP. If a duel is happening on Coruscant, and a player is in Glythe, the player in Glythe cannot join the battle until they have arrived at Glythe and landed.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Physical combat involving non-jedi/sith

Essentially the same rules, except no force mastery and doubtful that a lightsaber is involved. Post must contain:

Weapons
HP level (starting at 100%)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

General rules about HP levels

Each combatant and ship/vehicle involved in the combat starts with an HP level of 100%
Force Mastery is a number that allows an attack to be more sever, causing more damage.

Damage for certain weapons and Force Powers will be posted in a different thread

Land combat is also possible. For land combat to occur, the space battle must have been won beforehand. Attacking occurs with NPC armies and ground vehicles. Same rules apply for land as with space. A land invasion cannot occur until at least one day after the space battle has occured (this is to allow for troops to be transported to surface and for the opposing side to prepare arms)

To Conquer a System:
Both Space and Land must have been won, or the system must already have belonged to nobody. If the planet has belonged to nobody, you must first hyperdrive to the system, then follow landing procedure. After landing, you must then claim the planet and build at least one building and leave an escort of troops to defend.

If a system does already belong to a faction or player, then they must be defeated both in space and land, and then the conquering player must follow landing procedure, then claim the system in their/their faction's name and build a building and leave an escort of troops.
