rules
main rule: NO UBERING AT ALL. PERIOD.(except for smite people)
homeworld: you each start out with a homeowrld and 1 fleet of 10 or less ships and must not exceed 1200 points. it also can only be used on attack or defense. you also start out with 200 resources, which will be explained later.
turns: you MUST wait for ALL empires that are playing to post their action before you can post yours, unless they have not posted in this section for 2 days(then they dont get that turn) after the last empire posts, any empire except the last one that posted can start the new turn!
resources: ok, for each planet you colonize(that will be explained later) you get 50 resources per turn. homeworlds give you 100 resources per turn.
costs: to build a new fleet, it takes 1000 resources. to build a fighter, it takes 20 resources. to build a light frigate, it takes 100. to build a heavy frigate, it takes 200 resources. to build a secondary escort ship, it takes 100. to build a primary escort it takes 150. to build a destroyer it takes 350. to build an outpost station, it takes 1100. to build a main station, it takes 1750. to build the colony ship, it takes 500 resources.(note: some empires may not have each ship type)
Colonization: you must have 5 colony ships to colonise a planet. each planet you colonise will give you 50 resources per turn.
combat and fleet levels: combat will work like this: for each battle, you must post all battle results in a separate topic. e.g. the battle between the finliens and the alpheron. combat threads will work differently, because you will post as soon as the other empire posts. you will act like you are the commander of your fleet. e.g. i send phaserblasts from 3 of my fighters to hit the enemy cruisers shields. if you attack, points are subtracted from either attack or defense of ships, e.g. you attack with 2 fighters that have a combined attack level of 100. you can do wither 100 damage to 1 ship or 50 damage to 2 ships.
sieging: if an empire has no fleets or no ally fleets, you may choose tosiege them. you bring your fleet over the enemy homeworld and destroy all stations you then bring your ground units onto their planet for a ground battle(to be explained). if you win, you control that empires other planets. the defeated empire may rebel from the sieged empire after 1 year(4 pages) have passed.
after the battle: after the battle, you can use a secondary support ship to reverse engineer a ship from your enemy and put it in your fleet. it would be wise to add it to your empire's section in public lit.
npc battles: it is fine to have a battle with a real trek empire(eg. the klingons)as long as someone else plays the role of commander for that fleet.
fleet levels: your fleet will have a certain max points for all ships. this increases as you level up. you must have at least 2 ships higher than fighter class added to your fleet since the last time you leveled up before you can level up again. t takes 2 turns of doing nothing but leveling up to successfully level up.
level 1: 1200 points and 15 ships maximum
level 2: 2000 poinds and 20 ships max
level 3: 3200 points and 30 ships max
level 4: 4000 points and 40 ships max
level 5: 5500 points and 70 ships max. takes 3 turns to level up to level 5.
also, upgraded fleets=upgraded weapons.
politics: you can have the following whith other empires:
protectorate: protectorate is simply just a mechanism that allows players to auto
protect allies, empires just need to send fleet and the permission to
set up a protectorate to the empire you are trying to protect,
automatcally, the protectorate ships will engage in combat if the
empire is attacked but take a certain time to reach the battle, the
empire that is under the protectorate however has to give a certain
precentage of mineral generation to the empire giving them protection,
however, both empires can drop the protectorate status at anytime.
you can also have a Non aggression pact, trade partnership(15 additional resources are given to both empires at the start of a turn), Defensive alliance, Military alliance, and a research alliance.
if you want a partnership with an empire, use pms to send it out and accept. only post it in this thread if they accept.
time: for every 4 pages of rpg, 1 year passes. at the top of page 5,9,13,... please post the new year before your action. eg:
start of year -3. the loniam declare war on the alpheron.
thisrpg starts on year 16. i will update the timeline regularly.
