@ Terra
The prodigy! YES!!!
Twice devoured! How about it?
Anywho....
I've been listening to this song today, so I thought I might as well post it.
NOte: Don't watch the music video, unless you want to see blood.
I tried to find a video without the graphic stuff, but this is all I could find. Sorry.
And the live version just doesn't cut it.
Lyrics:
I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that's real
The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything
What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
I wear this crown of sh**
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here
What have I become?
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end
You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way
The prodigy! YES!!!
How about you devour his soul, regurgitate it, and then devour it again?Alkanosis wrote:A-Black_Man wrote:are you ready for alka to rape your song?Thingy wrote:Dont forget the soul devouring part, it's my favorite.

NIN's music is ok, but they are about as cool as a band can get. when their new CD was released a while back they announced "hey guys i think we might have leaked our music to some website"

Nah. If you want to make fun of metal, you exaggerate its excesses: gigantic solos (either sloppy or technical wankage,) harsh vocals, blast beats, etc. This was more of a hardcore thing. Shouting, breakdowns, sluggy chug chug riffs...
Here's a real metal parody. Hell, the whole band is made to parody metal.
They make fun of it in a way that showcases their musical ability. Lyrical content includes disparaging glam, killing posers, Satanism, paganism, drinking, repeating the chorus many times.

Not meaning to do Finntroll a disservice, but there was a lot of similarity between the two videos.

Too electronic for my tastes. Of course, I'm only referring to the second one. The first one says "An error occurred." But the picture on the first one squicks me the wrong way. Then again, I'm in a classic/progressive rock mood today for some reason...
Or maybe some jazz. Maybe someday I'll become an eclectic.
