Re: 90's Rock
Even the jazz guy agrees. And a quote from Doug, my band's rhythm guitarist...
"I'm glad the 90's will never happen again. The only thing we have left over is the s***ty music." He played for a 90s rock show at the Wilmington School of Rock about two weeks ago too.
The only good things to rise into prominence during the 90s were Pantera and Dream Theater.

Re: 90's Rock
Well, it wasn't all crap.
But, I would have to admit, a lot of it was.
I do miss stuff from the early half of this decade though.
Some of that music tends to be forgotten.
CRAP!
I have to go into the closet again!
The sirens are going off!

Even MORE 80s stuff was complete garbage as well. But that's why you forget about the bad 80s music, right? Anyways, Pantera was pretty much the only reason metal stayed alive in the 90s. Other than that, the 90s were not good for metal. Metallica and Megadeth were off experimenting with how much money they could make while retaining old fans (unsuccessful), Slayer didn't have Dave Lombardo, Maiden didn't have Bruce Dickinson or Adrian Smith, Priest lost Rob Halford for a bit, etc.
Probably why I don't listen to much stuff from the 90s. I'm not really a big fan of alternative rock.
