General Rock
Discuss and post rock here! And remember, rock only. No other stuff and ESPECIALLY none of that rap crap, i dont care if there was a guitar in there somewhere
Alright, first post.
And yes, that's a girl. I have no idea why there was a bulge down there when they went down with the camera though. Yes, i know, it's weird. Girls arent supposed to have bulges in the pants. I'm having a hard time deciding whether to be turned on or not, she's frickin hot but that bulge is confusing as hell.
But anyways, the germans just got an awesome point for making this band, they're awesome!
And here's another one, bulge free and clearly female! God she's hot!
Rock, a hot chick and lots of equally hot fire, could you ask for more? No, you couldnt.

Err, guess the english word for it isnt like the swedish (it's buckla in swedish). Okay, you know the thing that forms when you hit a car with a tire iron? It's that but outwards.

Re: General Rock
A bulge is possible, you know.
But I think it's probably just the trousers themselves.
Anyway, what do people think of the Sex Pistols?

Re: General Rock
It's one of those few famous bands i havent heard yet. Only thing i know about them is that one of the original Guns N Roses members is with them. Gonna have a look at them later.
Anyways, here's some more music. Audioslave, doesnt remind me.
Great lyrics, great music and they somehow managed to get a pretty good sad story into it. Also, people who know a little about aircraft will notice that they used 2 different aircraft in the video. The first manuever was a raven and the one firing the one they got the cockpit shot in was a F16.

Wow, they dont show the USA?! That's just... weird. It's always the other way around, they never let us europeans and especially us swedes (music corporations hate sweden and everything about it for some reason) watch their stuff. Keep getting those ''Stay out, you european peace of rubbish. Master race only. Go do a polar bear or something'' messages when i try to watch things on american music websites.
Anyways. this should work

The first video said:
"Den har videon ar inte tillganglig i ditt land eller i din doman"
Kinda boring....
The second video... I agree, that woman is hott!
I didn't watch the last video, because I was so pissed off at the first video.

Re: General Rock
This is a really old piece of music. Also, a very special one, it's on the golden records sent on the voyager probes. when we're gone, this could be one of the very few things remaining of humanity, or it might be intercepted so another civilization can learn more about us. Either that or they'll just do as on saturday night live, send a message asking for more chuck berry. My bet's on the latter.

I do like that quasi-title. Although that's actually another Townshend song.

Re: General Rock
If you haven't already heard it, here it is:
That's linkin park's newest song, and it's for the new transformers movie.
Well, if you watch the video, that's pretty obvious.
BTW, the video is awesome! LOL!
As for the song, it sounds a lot like What I've Done, but I still think I like it.
And of course, the lyrics are wonderful.
It's funny, because I've been writing lately about gaping holes, schisms, etc. All of the old, familiar depressing words.
Well, pitfalls, skews, and the choking grip of the vines of sorrow.
I guess this song provides some inspiration.

Oh my God! He likes Nevermore! Finally someone else on the forum other than me actually likes them! What made you like them? Was it the amazing vocalist or the amazing guitarist?
Have you heard The Heart Collector? Same album and it's a pretty similar song too.
Dead Heart in a Dead World is probably my favorite album of theirs.

Yeah! that's the one that pulled me in. And it's a combination of awesome text, awesome music and an eargasm inducing vocalist. And they're not uberly commercial like the rest of the rock bands.
Now excuse me, i've got to go and wash out my ears. They got filled from awesomeness after listening to that song... Or at least i think that's awesomeness... Waxy awesomeness

Re: General Rock
At last, someone else finally gets it. Nevermore is one of the bands where I can enjoy softer songs as well as edgier songs without any complaints, because they inject their musical awesomeness into all their work. And commercial? One of the greatest injustices is that their immensely talented vocalist has to work as a chef just to make ends meet. Jeff Loomis is well-known enough though.
Before Warrel Dane was in Nevermore, he was in Sanctuary which was more straightforward heavy metal. You may like it though. He had an awesome vocal range in the 80s as well. Very King Diamond-esque.
You can kinda recognize his voice.

Man... that's sad, the better your music gets and the less commercial you get, the less money and recognition you'll get. The world is screwed up... And i agree, i didnt like the edgier songs before, but i actually like some of nevermore's.
anyways, here's one of the songs that introduced me to rock. Actually, it is the song that introduced me to rock. It was on my first rock album.

Here's a load of AC/DC, one of the most awesome bands to exist.
EDIT- Ooops, seems jbp had alredy posted highway to hell.
Changed it to skies on fire.
Hell is like an eternal rock concert next to a river of booze, drugs and hookers. Now think about that next time you're trying to decide wether to kill that old lady and take her purse or help her across the street. Do you want to go to an eternal rock concert and swim in a river of booze after doing 5 girls in the same time while rocking out at an ACDC concert, or sing kumba ya with a bunch of naked flying kids for all eternity?
Also, that was a joke. Dont start a religious argument.

well, yeah, that's one of the small problems with hell, but imagine what the 1000 degrees of pure heat would do to your skin! i mean, imagine the tan potential!
@ DJ well, that's kind of true over here in the west. minus the god part, i think 60% or so of europeans dont believe in god. I dont know why i feel that way, could be this whole not having to be raped, killed and dumped into a ditch by the militia along with the rest of your village or the whole not having to work in a sweatshop from when you're 6 thing.
and so i wont be spamming up my own thread, here's some nevermore (they're awesome)
it might sound like it's depressing to be an atheist, but not being forced to do and not do stuff because a book tells you to is actually quite awesome
now excuse me, i've got to go try to put my neck back in place after all that headbanging.

Re: General Rock
And that's why I'm really questioning myself right now. Should I just leave religion and just become agnostic? I pretty much can't conform with a lot of church doctrine so perhaps it would be best to just not identify myself with any denomination.
Moar Nevermore! If the riff at the beginning doesn't make you rattle your head, then you're not a metal fan.
Jeff Loomis is not doing leads on this one. Shame. The guy doing leads is sufficient though, so I'm not really complaining.

Re: General Rock
Well, you dont have to just leave religion completely. You can still believe in god and pray im private if that's what you believe in. Being a member of a church isnt neccesary, hell, i think it's better being religious in private than being with religious groups. But to be completely honest, not believing in anything is the best (from my personal experience).
But an even better idea would be JOINING THE DARK SIDE SO WE CAN RULE THE UNIVERSE AS COMPLETELY UNRELATED GUY THAT YOU BARELY KNOW AND UNRELATED GUY THAT I BARELY KNOW FOREVER!!! MUAHAHAHAHA. *Grabs a random priest and does force lighting on him* AHAHAHA, MUAHAHA.
Plus you'll get this really sweet '' My other car is a star destroyer'' bumper sticker as an official welcoming gift! sweet huh?
