Civilian ships
Even though the galaxy is a tough place, there are some who go exploring in their own small ships...

Re: Civilian ships
The SS Botany Bay was of this class, yes, but the class itself is called DY-100.
It's one of my favorites...
Next I'll make the DY-150, which is exactly like this one, but has warp nacelles...

DY-150:
Hey, Darkwing, I had an idea: You could use the DY-100 as the non-alligned humanoid starter ship, like the Danube Runabout....

OMG! These are awesome! Man, my ships won't even compare. LOL, you guys will have to photoshop them. (They're hand drawn.) I will scan them tomorrow......
Re: Civilian ships
use the BMSC. Also, the ship shouldn't have a NCC number.

Wht is that? In the resized versions, they're hardly readable, and it gives more realism to the ship. Vexxiang and Tthomaso recommend the addition of registry numbers to give more realism to the ships....
TThomaso wrote:...a registration number and name wouldn't go amiss...
By the way, what the hell is BMSC??

Re: Civilian ships
Oh, that! I use it sometimes, but it won't work with BM3, as it doesn't have much TOS resources...
Re: Civilian ships
Now that you mention it, how do you post pics of the ships you create?

Re: Civilian ships
well, first you have to screenshot them as you can't save images using the kitbash. export it as a jpg or something, upload it to something like freewebs or photobucket, then post it here!
Re: Civilian ships
Well, i made this in a few seconds...
Civilian X-2000 battleship
Shields: 1000
hull: 2000
Weapons: Type X phaser, Photon torpedo, Ion Torpedo
Special: High power double Ion beams (front firing)
Description: A well balanced ship. Quite strong. A good choice.
More to come.

Re: Civilian ships
it looks too powerful altogether. it needs to have less powerful stats for it to match the ship unless it is the size of a soverign dreadnought.

Re: Civilian ships
Yeah, ok, thanks... Nacelles are the red and blue sticks that have warp coils powered by a warp core that produces warp energy... The nacelles generate the warp field that makes the ship move...

I'm not denying that, just that Raffitz seemed to become memory-alpha when he defined a nacelle.
