I have a browser crisis
ok so its not really a crisis but I am looking for a good browser and im sorry to say FF is too intensive for this laptop IE7 is too big slow. ( IE8 screwed the computer last I tried to install it) also I tried to use crome it had a delay I could not live with. and safari is good but I wanna know if there is better.
Re: I have a browser crisis
Err... there's not much of a choice. You either take the two standards, FF and IE or chrome and safari. Both of which suck. But i guess you could try them and see which one you like the most.

FF too heavy? BS. to my left is an old laptop, running windows XP and FF, still perfect performance with 20 open tabs and music running.Jtull wrote:ok so its not really a crisis but I am looking for a good browser and im sorry to say FF is too intensive for this laptop IE7 is too big slow. Re: I have a browser crisis
Most likely Safari is your best bet if it has been working the best for you. There arn't many other browsers availible.

Re: I have a browser crisis
Yeah there are, but they're just sucky.
Have you tried chrome?
Chrome puts each tab into an individual system process, but it's still worth a shot.

Re: I have a browser crisis
I dont think there's a browser that can handle the programs J uses. So, like i said, the solution is simple. Dont use too many friggin programs at the same time. Close the ones you're not using. Or just get more RAM

it's not the browser being uncapable of handling the programs, but the other programs eating away all CPU + RAM capacity.

To open up CPU close unneeded processes using ctl+alt+del or close running application via the task bar (bottom right with the clock). If this doesn't work run a complete virus scan (I use AVG free). Or try uninstalling any trial ware. Finally try uninstalling FF and then reinstalling.
