The Enterprise Project
My goal (as some of you know) is to build a 4 foot Enterprise out of cardboard and various materials. I aim to have it done top of may so that i can display it at the theatre when the movie is released. I started physical building yesterday, after quite a bit of sketching i might add. So far, the skeleton of the saucer is drying now from the glue, and I will post pics and keep updates in a sort of diary fashion as i work through the project, so wish me luck!

Dammit! Why couldn't have my parents moved to Nova Scotia? WHY?????
You had better post pics of your progress! (Then, it makes it easier for me to pretend that I'm helping)

Re: The Enterprise Project
OK, so this shows the saucer in construction. I'm using cardboard ribs of sorts that slide onto the disk, which are glued with this industrial glue stuff my dad had, and reinforced with glue gun walls:
Here is a rib not attached to the saucer:
And here is saucer with all ribs attached top 3/4 view:
and completed underside of saucer:

-camera pans down through fog to bell - psycho sound good in background until blast of fog after creature growl. then fade quickly
-sound comes back on when i say "ALright what we got here is a sea mount
-omit scene w/ kalyla in chair and cut background sound/voices

here is the hull in still pic form:
This is as the main support is being cut out:
and the hull support attached to the saucer
and the hull as I add the rings to it so that the skin will have a shape!
and a close up of the rings:
