@Alka
1. Yeah, pretty much
2. Seriously messed up.
3. Just speculating

I am not willing to dismiss God. Lately there have been many things than have convinced me that there could be a divine being. I am still partially agnostic though and will never completely believe until I experience meeting/hearing him. My mom is an Atheist though, so if she sees this I'm screwed!

Thing is, you're not going to see/hear him physically till he returns or we're judged. That's why it's called faith; believing without seeing. I'm not trying to crush whatever hopes you have, but I'm just being as brutally honest here as I possibly can. If you have questions for me, please do ask me over PMs. I will try to answer questions to the best of my ability, limited as I am.

Ooh... Does she really say that she hates religion though? So much for tolerance and freedom of religion...

well I have heard him ( don't try to convince me that I haven't because there is no way you can) I have had many words spoken to me from him. how could I describe it. for me there is just a feeling I get sometimes ( sometimes followed by shaking) but I have given people things from god that were said before I said one of these things to one of my youth pasters she told me about that people had said the same things before. ( not that I knew about them) she could tell it was from god. also lately due to my new found faith I have stepped out and done things I would never have done ( because I am naturally shy.) I felt god was telling me to pray for carl I walked up to him and prayed for him I also last Sunday went and met someone god has been telling me to meet for a while and we seemed to have allot in common. so I would say just learn to recognize the feeling you get when god is doing something.

That's the thing, and this is where I shake my head in disbelief in most other world religions. You cannot rely on feelings, as your emotions are some of the most volatile and unpredictable things. The reason I'm still Christian now, even after experiencing higher thought via high school, is because Christianity is the most logical faith for me, with the Bible being historically verifiable.

oh yes I know all that about emotions I used to block them out very well. but I have learned what feeling I get when god is in the room. ( well when you can feel the presence of god) I have a limited emotional range.

I'm not going to get involved. But it's good to see that despite the huge differences in our denominations, we all seem to have one thing in common - faith.

What God has done for me? Well, my family was one of those type of family's who says they are christian but don't act like it. Then God lead us to a Mennonite church which lead us closer to Him

brilliant! I used to be very much alone and kinda lost in faith. until at a camp one of the leaders invited me to his church since then I have found great friends and have actually become a little bit of a role model to some people. ( used to throw people through windows and swear and basicly be someone to avoid.)
