Re: Campaign Mission Section
Ok, here's one:
After securing some of the Empire's strength, you receive word that the klingons have a secret shipyard, building ships with schematcs from the future. your mission is to locate and destroy this shipyard

Re: Campaign Mission Section

Re: Campaign Mission Section
i can only do it so that the enitre BM3 section is visible to members only
Re: Campaign Mission Section
then make this a seperate section. An idea is that the romulans are attacking you and you need to find out where they all are coming from after you destroy the capital ship.

Re: Campaign Mission Section
one could be like the one i posted somewhere..ah found it:
Earthdeath wrote:i got one to: you could make a mission where the vexxiang are attacking the terran and you have to stop them, but halfway through the gorn or someone else join in and you have to defeat those attackers as well, and then attack vex itself with a group of terran ships.

Depending on how the game works, there could be an economic mission, like 'open up new trade routes'

Re: Campaign Mission Section
not a bad idea.you could have another mission where space pirates or rogue klingons are attacking trading vessels and you have to stop them.

Re: Campaign Mission Section
The campaigns should build up to something to do with the Vexxian Empire. Here is a little history i made up for the game:
The Vexxians:
The Vexxians are an extremely powerful race from the future, that traveled back in time hundreds of thousands of years before the human race even stepped foot on the moon. Something eradicated the Vexxian Empire, and all that remains is a desolate planet, holding an ancient time device (which the Akira uses to travel back to the 23rd century).
The Vexxians will reawaken someday to vanquish there mysterious foes...

What about a mission to Increase the Vexxian Empires Size (like conquering planets for them)

Re: Campaign Mission Section
That wouldn't be very original...
What about:
There's an enemy starbase with secret plans for a huge weapon, and we have to destroy it... If we don't, the enemy builds the weapon and uses it against us, and we die. Yay!!

Re: Campaign Mission Section
How about: There is a huge war between the Cardassians and Klingons and you have to settle itso it doesn't destroy the whole universe(it would be one of the last missions as the Klingons will start out as slaves to the Terrans.

Re: Campaign Mission Section
Hmm... I see the chance to play with storylines here!
After several pirate raids, it seems apparent that there was a connection. Material is being stolen from production facilities and ships are disappearing without a trace in pirate-infested systems. Normally, this wouldn't be noticed by the Terran Empire's government, but you decide to look into it. Your investigation takes you to many systems where you will meet several NPCs, some you will have to engage in battle to get answers from, one who even destroys himself to keep the secret quiet. It seems that a 'Section 31' within the Empire is actually selling these materials to a massive buildup of Klingon forces on an old Terran Empire mining planet.
Soon, you find that the Klingons have already started building their first fleet and are charged with destroying the planet and every Klingon ship defending it... But you will have been too late to stop the last of the Klingons from escaping to a far away system... (thus explaining why they have ships by the time of Broken Mirror I) Still, you would afford the Terran Empire control of Eraseriel (I believe is how you spell it), the mining world that will later be in Broken Mirror I.

Re: Campaign Mission Section
ok, Klingons and romulans then. Maybe the last mission is that the EE is in civil war. You have to conquer all the planets, rule the galaxy, and send some of your crew back to the future(that was a good movie ) and things are set straight.

What if all the races were in civil war and you got to conquer all the planets to stop the galaxy from ripping itself apart?

Re: Campaign Mission Section
Well, I'm sick of your conquering tendencies.... For the conquering part, there's already the standard mode! The campaign mode is for something different! Something original! Conquering in the Campaign mode doesn't make sense, as it's the primary objective of the standard mode!!
Re: Campaign Mission Section
wow your a little hostile. maybe you should establish trade routes for all the main races?

Re: Campaign Mission Section
Hmm, that would be an interesting feature... Expanding your empire in standard mode through trade as well. It would require a lot of work on the new feature, but would certainly give the game something especially new and exciting, although this campaign mode idea is probably all you need to make the game a real sequel!
I'd especially like it if you could make campaigns like with the plug-ins or (perhaps the easier way) just have some campaigns built in and have it give you a list of campaigns to play. Maybe every so often campaigns can be made in Creative Suite and added, then the game could be reuploaded as an update so there's always something new and it's almost as interactive as an online game (because every week or so, a new 'episode' is added to the list of campaigns that you can play)

Re: Campaign Mission Section
Here is my idea for a mission:
You receive an S.O.S message from a planet that is under attack by pirates and you must defend it.
And I also think that you should have at least one weapon on the nearly disabled Akira.

Yeah but about that magnetic torpedo... Aren't ships made out of stainless steel? It wouldn't go towards them.

Re: Campaign Mission Section
I said stainless. and it isnt magnetic. If you have a dishwasher or anything that is stainless steel, try putting a magnet on it. Im talking real here. But a ships engines produce heat, so he could just change the name to heat seeking torpedo. it almost as simple as this!
PrintLine ("Heat seeking torpedo")
Thats an actual line of code there.

Re: Campaign Mission Section
In fact, the real magnetic torpedos on star trek have the same strength as 1000 quantum torpedos.
Let me just search the site were that is said.
Actually I've just confused with graviton torpedos!

Re: Campaign Mission Section
Heres an idea of Vortars game after the borg attack on blender (or any dominon planet in this game) the humans have found intellegence that a borg cube damaged inside dominion space holds some vital info about a new weapon that the jem heddar are building witch could lead to the detruction of the alfa quadrant. The humans send a fleet into dominion dominated space only to find a a jemhedder control fleet waiting for them what you have to is to break through the blockade once that is done enter dominion space search every system under dominion control go to long range scan and you will find a green dot thats the borg cube once you have reached the borg cube destroy five advanced space turrets surrounding the borg cube hover over the cube then click on it it will say its disabled then press T a box will come up saying that your away team have found a borg data pad then click ok then take the data pad back to earth for a examination once you get to earth hover over the planet then press T then a box will come up saying MISSION COMPLETE.

i'm not basing things on how hard it is to do, because doing campaigns alone is really difficult!
