sweet. I just did the lighting design for the second biggest Youth Event in Christchurch this year. the next biggest will be Get Smart and since it is being held at the place I do 99% of my lighting I am hoping I get given the position of Lighting Tech

it depends... 1st source is almost always the best. if it is a movie based off a book, the book is better. if it is a book based off a movie, the movie is better.

And Movies based on a game, are usually Crap, not sure if there, is a Movie based on an Game that is "Good".

The best one I can think of is mortal kombat. It wasn't too good, but it was just cheesy enough to be able to get a sequel.

Tomb raider????

Al of the Tomb Raiders were shit, sorry Lee. You may have not been able to stop salivating over the thought of Angelina Jolie, but the plot (and the historical basis, but you don't necessarily know that) was atrocious.

I just found it a light and fun action film (the first, haven't seen the second) so I personally liked it for that.

The first is bearable, it goes downhill from there.
Mind you, that's my personal opinion. I can't stand the making up of history or obviously fake history in a film that doesn't set out to be a flight of fantasy.

I don't mind them, I always find them fun

Just got back from Canada about half an hour ago. By God, the weather there was the most horrendous thing I have ever experienced, bar none. It was basically below freezing every day and yesterday it hailed and I basically got bludgeoned to death and back to life with ice balls in my face.

On a good note however, I did see a guy wearing a Free Quebec sign on his backpack. I also bought a really cool hoodie for $20 and maple syrup. Oh, and French is hilarious.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, central canada has pretty harsh weather and a generally longer winter. but it sounds like the weather was pretty good there

And yeah, this place is quiet. Quieter than my village. I hope it's because people are enjoying themselves happily busy, rather than a lack of things to say.

I have been enjoying myself weather was a bit scary when all of a sudden black clouds came out of nowhere but it's sunny again now

it's £6 something here I think.

Each province has its own minimum wage, right now Nova Scotia's is $9.60 took us forever to get on the bandwagon though, we were the lowest in the country (used to be roughly 6 bucks when I first started working a few years ago)

It actually seems less than 10 posts a day, I'm suprised it's up to 800.
