I shall. Now for clarification and so I don't break anything, when I format my drive, I go about it normally. Go to my drives or whatever, the same place you partition the drive, format it. That'll wipe it clean. Will the PC shut off when it's done or something? When should I put in the disk? It'll automaltically start the install process once booted up again yes?

Actually, I would recomend formatting the pc using the install disk, so if you format it you just have to continue with the installation and nothing will end screwed up (that much). But I recomend you to back up ALL important data inside your pc first...

No no, not format with the disk, I mean I format the drive, sorta like how you would a flash stick. Then put in the disk yes?

NOOOOOOOOO!!!

First of all Windows wouldn't allow that... You can't format the system partition from Windows.

So After you backed up everything, you burn the disk, and then reboot the pc with the disk inside. You only format your HDD during the install process...

It's actually very simple and you should read every option of every menu you find (except the EULA, like if you were following it).

I said on both FORMAT FROM THE WINDOWS 7 INSTALL DISK! (and yes, I'm kinda mad because of that)...

Just don't format from the OS...

wouldnt there be a key printed on a sticker located on the back or the bottom of your computer? there is on all of our computers.

@ Vedic, before you make a mistake and get another 360, do yourself a favor and get a good PC instead.

Well, my laptop died. It's the board itself that's screwed up and it would honestly be better for me to just switch to a new computer at this point than to get the motherboard replaced. It's served me well for the 3 years that it lasted.

Out with the Dell and in with the MacBook! Very Happy

yeah, the quad core seems to be fairly common now in laptops plus 64 bit seems to be the new 32bit

Only the high(er) end ones though. The $500-$700 range laptops still just have dual cores, one of which I had been using to this point. Probably not gonna get it until a few months from now. Just telling y'all, cause I won't be on as often til I get a new computer. Fact is, I'm on my itouch right now. That's not gonna stand

I can't say what computing facilities will exist in your university, but with us a desktop could probably suffice. Consider them because you can get more bang for your buck..

How I understand you... I've learnt not to dedicate much time to girls because of that... It's just a waste of it (time).

I used to be like that, but then I found out through my adminly ways, that it doesn't really matter, cause all you need is like one thing and it's fairly easy to find out who somebody is, where they're from and all that fun stuff..

There's also this new thing I'm learning how to do that are called Spider Web Bot's (lame translation warning) ^^ It's simply a bot like Google Bot that does an search on all sets of IP's/Ports existent on the internet (including 0.0.0.0:0 , which don't exist xD) and then returns you a file with the places where it found the keywords we wanted Very Happy
