Part I

Van Toren swerved the ship as a missile cruised past the ship.

"That was close, very close!!"

Van Toren pulled on the throttle and pulled a tight turn around the station.

"We still got two minutes before we can jump!!!"

I then flyed the ship through the belly of the Destroyer... Luckly the belly didn't had any gun emplacement, except the orbital bombardement ones...

"30 secs to FTL!"

Jame was only out for a minuet, but he had a hard time moving but was able to stand up, he got to the port again, and started shooting, unawear that his leg was broken and was bleeding very badly, his right arm was also badly injured

"I am firing missles, Echo 3, Fox 2, 1 Away, Echo 3, Fox 3, 2 Away" i said just as a fighter flew past and i saw my contact in the fighter, i was so dissapointed that i started to fire all weapons that i could control from the gun ports at that fighter.

(I'm flying ATM remember?)

The green light came on

"Hold on, making the jump!!"

A missile cruised in and impacted the back of the ship just as it jumped

The ship lurched and the lights flickered and sparks showered down. Van Toren held onto the throttle as it shook as he tried to control the ship from spiraling out of control while in jump space

as the missel impacted i flew again to the ground, now there was a major hull breach in the back of the ship, air flushing out of the back of the ship, i held on for dear life "Help" i screemed "HELP, CAN ANYONE HEAR ME, HELP" just then i fell, grabbing on to the hull of the ship

(Soz, thought you were on a gun...)

"I hope my life lasts longuer than this..." Said I to Toren...

"Yeah, I hope so too!"

The ship began to shake really badly. An engine alert light came on

"I think we got a breach!! Check it out!"

(I was on the Aft gun emplacment)

The blast door began to close for the aft gun emplacement, i pulled myself through before it closed, i passed out due to lack of air

I runned through the ship, caught an air mask, and went into helping him... He was white due to the absence of air... I then pulled him into a safe area and sealed the room...

"Hope you're alive, buddy..."

"I can't hold on anymore!!!!"

Van Toren released the throttle and the ship lurched into normal space, everything flew forward, including Van Toren. Van Toren smashed his head on the console and fell limp, unconcious

Borrego was the only one conscient in a sinking ship...

"Oh F*ck" Said I "This is going from bad to worse..."

There were three more rooms waiting to be sealed... I run throught all the ship and closed all of them... Fortunately, and miracolosly (arg...) his room suffered undamadged...

Van Toren slowly woke up. He shook his head, trying to shake the grogginess. There was blood all over the console. He put his hand to his head and felt a pool of blood, streaming down his forhead.

"That will leave a mark" he muttered

"Now I must do medic to everyone, right?" Said I... "Come to the enfermary... or what's left of it..."

There were already there James and Addar in there... With bandages already applied...

I woke up, and tried to talk "Wha..What happened" i managed to say

"We had a small accident... I shut down all systems except life support..." Said I... "Also, we're on cruise speed in direction to an habitable planet... It shows to have a small population of humans... It also doesn't show up in the maps in my laptop..."

"Well, this has been a fine start to my day. We need control back, James, you well enough to do that?"

"A lost colony near the Order boarder" was I thinking... "Have we found new allies or new enemies?"

The ship was going forward the planet... and we would need power to land... safely...

(still unconscious, dreaming)

I was in an all white space, no floors, walls, or ceilings.

"Hello son" a voice said.

"What, who's there" I replied

A man appeared. "I did" he said "Its been a long time, son, longer than you remember".

"who are you" I said.

"I am your father he replied"

"I don't remember you."

"I know, You cant remember much of your life before your physical life"

"What does that meam?" I said.

"Soon you will remember. Your 13th life is coming to a close, then it will all make sense."

"My 13th life?"

"Yes, It is the last of your sentence but it is to be the longest. You have accomplished much in it. You have master physical weapons and you have lived 342 physical years."

"Its been that long?"

"Indeed" he said, "but its not over, you still have a lot to do"

I felt my self leaving but i couldn't stop "Wait, I have more ques..." then i woke up. "I remember... something." I murmured just loud enough that some one could maybe hear it. "How long has it been, what happed?" I said out loud.

"Hey, whats happening Addar?" Asked I...

"Nothing, just waking up. How long have i been out?"

"Almost one hour..." Said I... "In the meanwhile we're drifting in a previously unknown solar system..."

"I think i can" i sat up, i walked over to the consel, i powed it up, then i turned to Van

"Um, i dont think we will be going anywere, that last hit took out our main FTL fuel tank, if you look out that windor you can see the stream of fuel, and i cant stop it, the secont tank is fine but the fuel in it has been depleated, i can power up the FTL drive without fuel but" i paused looking down "I would need to shut down life support, and all power would be depleated once we got to the planet and we would crash, and the FTL rift only forms around ships that have been built to break the berrior to Jump Space, this ship cant even make a jump to 1 Centimeter away, i cant get the ship going, but i dont recoment it, what do you want to do captain?"

"Could we try to land the ship in the planet? At least?" Asked I...

"If we wanted to crash, i can get us into a stable orbit, from there one of us will need to go down in an escape pod and hope someone will lend us a hand, the ship i can get us to the planet, it is 10 Min away in FTL drive online, but if you want to be able to land, we need to rough it for 15 Days untill we drif cloase enoguh to the planet to even ATTEMP landing"

I walked back over to the consel and began a report

"Loggin Damage Report, Thruster Assembly offline, Mutliple Hull Fractures, 1 Major Breach, main power grid, offline, FTL Drive, operating at 10%, main weapons, Destroyed, Landing Gears, Desintigrated, Life Support, 40%"

"That way can you get energy for sensors and communications?" Said I "I have a good feeling about this colony..."

"Perhaps you could give us one thrust. Enough to point the ship in the right direction and enough to give us propulsion to drift faster towards the planet."

"Ill take a pod down"

I went to the armory and got some Grade A2 granades and went to a pod. Then I got in the pod and ejected to the planet. Set a course to crash. That would be the fastest way down.

"Also..." Said I... "Imagine if we find members of the rebelion on that planet... They sure might want to kill Toren, but hey... They may also have forgiven him!"

"Right now our concern is landing. James, can you give us that single thrust to get us going? And I wish Addar wasn't so impulsive, that was the ship's only pod"

"Indeed... If we find in need we might face a certain death..." Said I... "I'm gonna rest a bit I'm tired... Can you handle the imediate controls, Toren?"

"What's left of them I can"

Van Toren left the medbay and entered the cockpit. He swiped some debris out of the way.

"Yuck, what a mess"

I was sit on the floor... I couldn't believe how I traded the confort of my home by the confort of a falling spacecreft... I started crying due to all I've saw in that day... Blood, Death, Ambushes... All was sadening me... When I saw, through the window, three suns...

"3 suns..." Thought I "Maybe I will get to know her after all..."

Van Toren looked out the cockpit windows noticing the three suns

"Interesting, very interesting" Van Toren muttered to himself.

"You guys, get up to the cockpit!" Van Toren yelled

I exited my room and went down to the cockpit...

"What?"

"I know where we are, see the suns, this planet is important, very very important"

I crashed on the planet and went unconscious again.

"You cant keep coming back here son. You will get in more trouble."

"What did you mean by 'It is the last of your sentence but it is to be the longest.'?"

"You broke our laws Addar, You were sentenced to 13 physical lives. Each one longer than the last.It has been 1476 physical years. In your last life you will begin remembering every experience you have had. And you will remember your life before your sentencing. And, when you die, you will join us again. Hopefully having learned your lesson. "

"What did I d..."

I woke abruptly to a light. Someone recovered my crash. "Damn!!!" I yelled, then i fell asleep.

"Why is this planet so important?"

I woke in a small town. A stranger walked in the room. "Ahh, Your up."

"Yes, I need to talk to anybody who has a ship and parts. Its very important."

"No, no, you just woke up, you need to eat!"

"Yes, Yes, It is very important."

"Ok, fine, but you will regret not eating,"

"Captain, i can land us, and that was not the ships only possibility for escape, see those EVsuits, there is a breach in the rear of the ship, we can set the ship to crash, grab what we need and jump down and use those parachutes in the EVSuits, but Captain what do you want to do, we risk dieing if we go right down inside the ship, atleast in the EVSuits we know we will survive"

I soon found my self at the leader of the small village's hut. "I have friends in orbit who have a very damaged ship. It is a very special ship and we need it repaired. There are many things broken. If you can provide me with a transport, i can take parts to them and we can repair it to the point where we can land it and finish repairs." I said

"You should know as well as any man that parts cost money. Please tell me, what is the name of your ship, her captain, and your name." he said

"the ship... Er... its 'The Nightcrawler', a man named Torren is her captain, my name is Addar" I said.

"You know that there is a large price on the heads of both of you. And the ship is worth alot o money. Why shouldn't i turn you in."

"Sir, your village is a rebellion out post. "The only place where the three suns are never down at the same time." I trust you will not turn me in for we fight for the same cause. But as far as payment goes we have no way to pay you." I said.

"Ill cut you a deal, if you can win 1 round in 3 against my greatest fighter, it will be free of charge. Should you fail you owe me double and if what you say is true, the only way you could pay is your bounty"

"Whats the game?" Was my reply.

"Captain, the ship is loosing orbit, i am going to crash us near the Escape pod" the shipp shuttered as the beams twisted and turned, the hull was becoming unrecognisalbe "Ser we will land in 4....3....2....1....0" the ship collided with the ground, it shuddered and it stopped, "Is everyone alright?"

You know that he said to wait in orbit? and that you are not the one piloting the ship?

Well the ship was so damaged that the orbit we sustained was lost, i diddnt land the ship lost a stable orbit.

Just trust me, much of the story is based out of the ship. And although its beat to hell, is should sustain orbit because it doesn't take any power to sustain an orbit. Ever thing about the moon? It doesn't have thrusters, or electronics and it sustains an orbit.

True, but orbit we have is degrading, and anyway think about those old satilites, they come crashing down. the moon is just far enough away that it doesent.

(Actually those satellites are crashed on porpuse, to avoid space overcrowding, now return to the story, please)

(For story sakes, we have now crashed, I was going to do that anyways)

Van Toren shook his head, a bit disoriented

"Well, we're in one piece and alive, that's good"
Van Toren looked out of the cockpit windows to see the lush valleys. They had crashed atop a mountainous area with rivers and grasslands running below them

Although I build an huge respect by Toren, and a nice friendship with Addar, I felt like it was dangerous to fully open to them...

"So, what's now?"

"Sauterbean. Tomorrow" the man said.

(that was yester day, this is today)

I woke that morning and prepared for the fight. I grabbed my staff and met my opponent in the village center.

Round 1

Round one was quick. He made a move at the back of my leg with his staff. I quckly fell to the ground where he hit me in the back of the head.

"Ha" The village leader said, "You weren't quite prepared for that one?"

I lost round one.

Round two.

I had a bit more luck in round two

It started with me making a move at his side which he blocked. He came around at my head, i made a successful block but he made a quick hit on my side and it would be over soon. He then took me out at my legs, flipped me partaily in the air. Then he hit me in my back and slammed me to the ground.

"Looks like all be collecting soon." The leader said.

"Maybe"

Round 3

Round 3 was fast. I wasted no time i took my staff and through it at him like a spear, he wasn't prepared for it and became confused, I then tackled him to the ground and gave a couple of hits to his face.

"Ha, looks like i underestimated you Addar. I knew you were a great fighter but i have wanted to witnes it for years. Thank youm it was amaing, you earned our respect. Now, ill keep my end of the deal. Where are your friends" The leader said

A large streak in the sky came across and a loud bang proceeded.

"I think thats them now" I said.
