Part I

On the barren moon of Tressa, Van Toren stood atop the highest peak and looked at the surrounding areas. Dark grey stone with sparse vegetation. All he had worked for was overthrown in one night. Something he had spent his whole life preparing for, over in the blink of an eye. It was a cold, harsh moon, perhaps most of the reason why Severus had him sent here. Severus didn't have the guts to kill Van Toren directly, so instead, left him on an inhospitable moon. Things could be worse though. As the sun began its decent down, a small flash caught Van Toren's eye. Far in the distance, what looked to be metal. A building or debris perhaps. There was something familiar about its shape though. It wasn't a building, it wasn't debris. Slowly, it started to dawn on him. It was a ship, crashed years ago. Now just rusting metal. Van Toren began the climb down, a new goal in mind. On this moon where there were no people, there was hope, a small incline of hope.

Suddenly a small 3 man transport ship bearing the emblem of adder appeared on the horizon, it was heading for the planets surface. Adder was marked for a small bounty years ago by the new order. Van Torren wondered "what the hell is he heading twords the planet for, something must be wrong."

Then A voice came over the radio "Dont shoot. This is Vesst, Bounty hunter code a5d487, I have a prisoner and i've come for my bounty. Its Addar, bounty code e279"

Addar's voice come through but as if it was distant from the mic "Oh, dhut up. You barly have me, All you have is a gun pointed at me. I could kick your ass before you knew it."

"Oh ya, why don't you?"

Another voice came, "Proceed to prison block"

James Emmerson was in a cave near the ruins of a ship, his cloaths were torn, his weapon was out of ammo, he slowly walked to it, then he saw a ship landing in the distence, he quickly entered the ship, he walked over to the control panel and said to himself, "i better get started if i want to find the other survivors" he then started pressing buttons and turning knobs, he fixed some wires and the power came online, "Well" he said to himself "I am not goin anywere without a new thruster assembly, this one is shot, maby if I" he pressed a button and a light appeared on one of the panels, and a voice said "Distress Call Activated, Distress Call Activated" James then said "Oh SH*T" then he pulled the power cable, then he said "Well, this will be a good place to hide anyway, i just hope no one heard that distress call"

so what part of "completely alone" doesn't people understand?

I got it. I didn't know why he didn't though.

so, to establish and make sure everyone knows, only I know where I am no one else does

um, no uh, perhaps read some of the old RPs of this style first to get a better idea of what I'm talking about

It was dark by the time Van Toren had finished his decent. The wreck was at least half a day's walk. Better to wait for the morning Delta thought. Delta walked to his cave where he had a makeshift home set up for himself. He settled in for the night. Tomorrow his journey begins. Tomorrow, he will launch the Nightcrawler.

After the man said "why don't you" Addar decided he would. First he kicked the gun out of his hands then knocked him to the ground so hard and so fast that the man went unconscious. "Next time get some experience before going after a bigger bounty." I said. Then I took my very small ship back and initiated the radar cloak. I then proceeded to the moon where it would be hard to detect a ship.

On a tall, snow-covered mountain stood Vex Valkyrie, a tall, proud man. He didn't feel very tall at the moment. With his vision blinded by the blizzard and his ankles deep in the snow he was helpless. He grabbed his binoculers and looked into them, to no avail. He was going to navigate the hard way....by eye, tactics, and pure instinct.

James Emmerson was in the Ruins of a city, he diddnt know were he was, nor did he know how he got there, he stood up, there was a small vehicle in the distance, it looked like a truck, but he couldent be shure, he couldent tell what faction it was from, so he ran inside a building, as the truck passed he could tell, it was the New Order, then a convoy of trucks came. He quickly went into the basement of the building, baricaded the door, and looked for a way out so that he wouldent be spotted.

Now you seem to get the idea.

It was late afternoon by the time Van Toren climbed the last hill. There it was, the old nightcrawler. It was rusted and looked like crap, but with some luck, it would still fly. It seemed ironic. The very people Van Toren had tried to eliminate all those years ago, were the exact people who was going to go and ask help for. If only Bayhes was still alive Van Toren thought.

He went around and found the hatchway. He pried the door open and looked inside. It was dark and smelled old. Van Toren pulled open a supply locker and pulled out a flashlight. He turned it on and looked around. For a moment he felt sentimental, even though he had been on this ship as a prisoner. First order of business though was charging the main batteries.

As van torren charged the batteries a sensor went of in Addars ship. "power build up. signature 1273." "God damn" i said, "that ship crashed months ago. what and who the hell is doing that?" I powered up my ship and flew began flight to the crash site.

It was slow going, but the batteries were charging. Charging by solar energy would take a while and wouldn't get the ship far, but hopefully, he could make it and fuel the ship and take it off batteries. There were still a lot of ifs involved, but at least it was something

I arrived and didn't see any other ships so a walked in to the ship. My sword , named Medusa, and my gun in hand. (o.k. so i have a thing for old weapons, but if i want a sword i can have one)

Van Toren heard some footsteps.

"What the hell?!?"

Van Toren ducked into one of the cabins which were completely dark. Van Toren stood by the door frame and raised his flashlight handle

I walked by and Van torren struck me in the head, After being dased for a few seconds i came around and had my gun at his heart. Upon closer inspection i realized that it was Van torren. "What the hell are you doing in this god forsaken place?!"

Van Toren had a look of shock on his face.

"What the hell are you doing here? How did you find me?"

James found an old hatch, "it hasent been opend for many years, this might not be easy" he said to himself. He pulled at the door for a good 10 minuets, then the door finally opened, as soon as it opened, it got reduced to dust for being so old, he climbed down the hatch, it lead to an old subway system, there was a small electronic train car on the rails next to a sign that said welcome to New Bark City thats almost halfway around the world james thought to himself, he go on it and started down the track hoping to get out of this city.

"Well i certainly wasn't looking for you. But i had a feeling something important was going to happen hear and so i let a bounty hunter capture me and bring me hear. It was the only way i would be able to get past the orbital defense. I have a small 3 man transport outside but this ship is really worth while. What are you doing?" Addar said.

"Well, in short, I'm attempting to re-activate a ship that's been dead for ten years, get past the orbital defenses and then find the remaining members of the old BSES and once I've done that, I'm going to take down Severus and rebuild the New Order."

Addar just had a blank look on his face.

"I know, it's not much, my plans are usually....grander, but right now, it's all I got"

"Well I have fuel in my ship and we can jump this ship it will be running in 5 min. What do ya say Captain Torren. "

A large gunship was chasing a small shuttle... Unfortunately for me, that only looked like a chalange... As I speeded up, a large warship appeared from nothing and locked a grapler hook onto my shuttle...

"Crap!" Thought I "They caught me"

As I tried to escape, they pulled me in... A few minutes later, I was in an interrogation room, as Colonel Marks talked to me...

"You know son, I can't keep let you do this..." Started the Colonel "Everytime you do this, your parents almost die of concern..."

"Sorry..." Said I, faking a sad face...

"If I believed you... It's the 5th time you do this... So, I think it's time to temporarely revoque your flying licence..."

I almost passed out when he said that...

Well, it's President Van Toren, but I get your drift. Ok, here's the plan then, we'll fuel the FTL drive of this ship and jump out before the orbital defenses get us. We'll head for what was an old BSES outpost world. We can land in the remains of New Bark City, no one will find us there.

Never mind on the edit.

"I have a friend, Borrego, Is on a small planet just outside this sector. Weapons expert, a good one to. We could pick him up on the way. That is, if we can sneak onto the moon. That way the sensor array wont find us.

"Blablabla, blablabla" was all Borrego was hearing from his parents... Actually they were telling me the same lecture of the other times, plus the lecture for loosing my flying license...

"When will this end up?" Was I thinking...

"All right we'll try and pick him up, but if we don't have enough fuel for the journey, then we'll have to skip him."

Van Toren exited the cabin and entered the hall. He pressed some buttons and the lights came up. He went to the back of the ship and checked the batteries.

"Well, that's about as much juice as we can fit in those batteries"

Van Toren then went to the cockpit and sat in the pilot's chair.

It's been a long time Van Toren thought to himself

"Prepair for jump. 3... 2... 1... Go." Instantly we launched into FTL. The timing on the exit would have to be perfect. We needed to exit right next top the moon.

Van Toren held down on the throttle, the lights dimming.

"Batteries are draining pretty fast, so's the fuel supply your ship had. Our tank was only filled to 1/4."

Van Toren suddenly released on the throttle and the Nightcrawler jumped into normal space. The moon was coming up very fast. Van Toren pulled the throttle way back, trying to slow the ship down

"Borego, " I said over a secure connection we kept, " Hey listen remember that Van Torren guy i was telling you about? Well hes with me and we need fuel, and weapons. Meet us on the dark side of the moon as soon as you can. Bring all the supplies you can. Addar out."

"Yeah, I'm flying my shuttle, while trying to avoid any patrols... I bring a handfull of handguns and food, and two pods filled with fuel..." Said I "Borrego Out..."

The Nightcrawler began shaking

"OK, change of plans Addar, we're not gonna slow down"

There was a massive lurch as the ship hit the atmosphere

"I have to try and land the ship at this speed. You may want to hold onto something. We'll be hitting the ground in less then a minute!"

James was trying to get the train to start up again, it only moved a few feet and stopped, he diddnt see the wall in the tunnel "Thats made of Pure Brick, i cant get through" he said to himself, then he felt a great shutter, the tunnel started to cave in on one side, "What the H*ll was that?" he said to himself as he grabbed his pistol, only one shot left in it and he ran up through the hatch, he noticed a ship that crashed only a few meters away from the building, he opened the door, just as he did a few tanks drove twords the Ship, James remembered he had a grenade, but he only had one, and there were 4 tanks, james started twords the ship stopped and turned back, then turned around to the ship again and said "For the love of" and jumped on one of the tanks, threw the granade in through the port, and jumped onto the next tank, shot the gunner on top and took his Sub Machine gun, he gunned down all of the crews of the tanks, he then jumped off of the last tank and walked into to hatch of the ship.

(you know we crashed on the moon right? Don't worry, we will get you in the story. )


"Borrego, one more thing. We are going to need your ship for parts."

As soon as he arrived we began unloading supplies. I began disassembling his ship for parts, especially the reactor core. The nightcrawler needed a new one not because i broke but because it needed more efficiency. "Where to next captain. (to Borrego) Your joining our mission kid. Get in the ship, ill explain latter.

Ok, now off to New Bark City

"Aye, sir..." Said I...

"Why did that sounded so bad to me?" thought I

Maybe you can land this time. 3... 2... 1... Go."

"So Torren, why are over new bark city. selling our ship for a better one? Picking some one up? Buying supplies?"

(In FTL only character related stories...)

"Ok... For the first time I exited Earth Orbit I'm impressed... Where are we?"

Van Toren throttled down and the ship jumped back into normal space. Ahead in the cockpit windows was a barren looking planet.

"We should be safe here, at least for a while. This used to be a BSES stronghold until I dissolved the BSES. This planet is off limits, so it should work well, at least until the patrol comes by in approximately five days. This planet should have weapons and fuel, hidden of course"

"Wow... And soldiers? Will we have them? How are you thinking taking on Severus with only 3 guys?" Asked I...

(So now are you at the planet)

James was working on the train, he diddnt see the brock wall and the train crashed into it, "Hmmm, well, ummmm, thats great" he said to himself so he climbed back up the shaft, and waited, maby a ship will detect this becon i found. He calibrated it to the Resistanc's Channels, he waited for a ship to come take him back to the resistance.

"Borrego, taking on Severus will be a long undertaking. And we wont have an army. We will rely on a small team of elite soldiers. So far me, you, and Torren."

"Oh... One of those 'Whole' life enterprises?" Asked I

"I wish" I thought to myself. "yes" I said out loud.

James was sitting, then the becon started to sound a klaxon, there was a ship approching at FTL drive. "What ship could it be?" he said to himself

I was laying down on a very deteriated bed, while Van Toren and Addar were buying supplies and 'recruiting' people to the so called 'cause'... He could only think of the dream he had during the FTL travel... With brown and blond hair, blue eyes, a pretty, shy smile...

"What would be her name..." was I thinking... "Ah hell... It's just a dream..."

I got up and grab my handgun, and went down to the lower deck... It was almost time...

there's nothing to buy FYI.


Van Toren stepped out of the Nightcrawler and looked about the ruins.

"I'd be very surprised if someone was still here...."

Van Toren hear the sound of a rock being kicked. He spun around.

"There, in that building, someone's here"

Van Toren and Addar crept up the building entrance

"WHO'S THERE?!" Van Toren yelled

"Sensors report seven lifesigns... But only one is sizeable enought to be human..." Said I "Will you check in?"
