It would be really nice, if you created a 3D animation out of the ship. When you're done, that is.

I can technically. The main problem with Sketch up is lighting. An example like a lamp light in a dark room. The only light you have is the sun, which they have done pretty well. So I'm trying to figure out a plug-in for sketch up that will help with that. I found one plug-in that might work but I still haven't figured it out.

Side note, what was funny to me was that the shuttle bay door on the saucer was 8 meters high and then I looked up shuttle specs and realized that was way too high. The tallest shuttle, excluding the Danube which is 5.4 meters, was 4.25 meters. So I can't remember how much smaller I made it though.... I think I dropped it down to six or something close to that so you could land a Danube in there too.

I do need help with the life boat. I'm trying to use the ones off the Sovereign, which from one soruce says, "5.6 meters tall and 6.2 meters along the edge of the triangle" that doesn't really help me. So I might end up designing my own....

I think the hexagonal ones from the Sovereign don't really combine with your ship's personality...

Angular, in smooth view, most of the edges don't appear...

my main thought was that they are designed to connect to each other. it's kinda hard with circles. But I'll think about it

Really, the sovvie's don't look very well in your ship... But compared to those octagonal things you were making, they are great...
