well I'm finally trying to make my own 3D starship so wish me luck and please don't ask me to make you one. I'm using a free program that you can download called Sketch Up.

I also have sketchup... I made a warp core based on the intrepid class warp core... It's not very good... Image

for a start raffitz it's pretty good. It takes alot of time, measurement, and something else important... to make it good.

as for you Jtull, so far I'm basing off of the sovereign class.

Set phaser to PAIN IN MY BUTT!!! because that is what they were... whew... especially the one on the front since it's angled and I still wanted it to look nice. I add the impluse engines, they're those things poking out of the back.

I think I'm pretty much done with the top, so my next step will be the bottom part of the saucer.

well I got the bottom and deflecter dish done, I think they turned out pretty good

yea i it looks cool.

It's way cooler than my deflector dish... I won't post a photo, because you would become scared...

have you tried making your own ship raffitz?

Raffitz im not sure you could scare us anymore than you already have show us!!!

HE'LL BE AWAY FOR A WEEK!! I have a week to get to 900 posts!! (joking)! Hey, stewie, you should try other programs, like gmax because those programs only have vertex and faces, and do not have edges, because the problems with sketchup are edges... They can't be invisible....

Here's a few things I've done using different 3d programs. That's actually what I do most is 3d.

No, he already told somewhere which program it was, and it isn't free... Unfortunately...

Edges can be invisable. look under veiw.

anyone know how high a deck is?

ok I looked around abit and it looks like it's about 3.5 meters. But it also stated that the deck size can vary too. So I got some fixing up to do I guess because I was basing a deck at 5 meters, and that was including hull and stuff inbetween.
