Re: Riddles - The Game
ed: no
shemuel: very good! but that's not everything. there is nothing wrong with the dog. to recap so that it might help:
the man commits suicide becasue he see the dog
the dog is being experimented on.
these are the two biggies, now, you have to figure out why he killed himself becasue he saw the dog he was experimenting on.

was the man a scientist who was studying the dog, but all his work was wrong, causing him to commit suicide in depression?

Re: Riddles - The Game
close enough.
The man had been conducting an experiment on the dog, using a gas lethal to humans. As the experiment was going on, the man saw the dog out wandering around. seeing that the dog was out, he knew the gas was out, so he shot hinmself, saving the long and miserable death that would follow becasue of the gas.

Re: Riddles - The Game
A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?

Re: Riddles - The Game
did the man just give a blatant statement. something like, hello, how are you?
Re: Riddles - The Game
Did the man say: My statement is false.
This means if the judge says it's true the statement is false but the judge says it's false the statement is true.
This was in Deltora Quest: Lake of tears.
When truth and lies are one.

Deoran and darkwing are close, but you need to be a bit more specific as to what was true and/or false

Re: Riddles - The Game
Basically, yes! He said, "You'll sentence me to six years in prison." If it was true, then the judge would have to make it false by sentencing him to four years. If it was false, then he would have to give him six years, which would make it true. Rather than contradict his own word, the judge set the man free.
