that's what e-mail is for!
the accent is all right, it's in the future, so everything is globalized, and besides, a european accent could be cool for the captain

Re: Casting Call
XD Seriously though, this IS serious thread! I don't think my own voice would work well for anything. In my own head, I sound like the average Linkin' Park teenager (punk/pimp) but when I hear myself over a recording device I sound like a frickin' 10-year-old >>;

Anyway, I will do it if you want me to as I have a microphone in my camera. And if you don't think you can record voice, check your mobile.

Re: Casting Call
well, if anybody is interested, let me know, as i'll do sor of an audition for it.
Important! If you think your voice wouldn't be good, cause everytime you here it recorded, it sounds horrible, join the club, everybody thinks that! Trust me, everybody, so that's no excuse for saying, well, i don't think I'm a good choice (Jerome) let me be the judge of if your voice fits the role. I just figured I'd throw it out here in case anybody wanted to take a stab at it, before I find other people to do it.

Re: Casting Call
Well, that's all fine and dandy. But I don't have the money to go out and get a microphone for the computer, so either way I wouldn't be able to do it. And I hate it when people claim these are excuses. They're explanations. An excuse is a form of justification, while an explanation is describing the causes, context, and consequences of a situation.
For example, the cause is I do not have a microphone. The context is that I do not have enough money. The consequences are that I will not be able to lend my voice to your effort. Even though I really want to help in whatever regard I can, that's no excuse to go out and steal somebody's money to get a microphone or replace my voicebox with another's in order to make myself sound better. I swear, I can't even pronounce words correctly except in British English. I should just move to England >>;
But if you really want my help, I'll be happy to provide any assistance you might have. I could bring in the doughnuts! Maybe a little coffee... Geez, I'm hungry for breakfast now XD

Do you have a phone that does video? If so, you should still be able to do it.

Re: Casting Call
Phone with video? Hmm... The display only shows numbers and letters, if that's what you mean XP And I don't have a cellphone with recording capacity or the ability to play moving pictures and such. Plus it's limited minute-wise and my home phone... Well, I dunno. It's not connected to the computer, so I dunno how that would work XP

well, i can send you something to say and then have you e-mail it to me
Re: Casting Call
well, i guess i'll try you out for the captain of the DSR (Dark Star Rising).
Anyways, this is the character:
He's only ever heard on the comm, but commands an extremely large capital ship named the DSR. So, he has to sound captainish and strong. He is calm for the most part, so don't sound all angry and aggressive, but don't sound too passive either.
Anyways, here's what you can say:
I am the captain of the DSR, one of the largest vessels in the Associates fleet. My mission is to destroy Mark Edwards.
Ok, I guess that'll do, do note, that is not a line from the script, but should give me enough to work with.
Send it to me at ccamron@student.ednet.ns.ca

Re: Casting Call
Mikes here are about 10-15 dollars. Mainly because the only ones sold at the Circuit City here are on headphones. Don't start saying 'how the heck can you not afford that' because I will only respond with this: Try being 19, having to pay for gas to go long distances EVERY DAY, having no job (because outside of the seasons they don't tend to hire anyone under 21 here), and having to pay for car insurance. And all that I pay for I have to get from family until I can get a job, and they also have to pay to uphold themselves. So yeah, not much money on my side >>;

It's too bad I don't have a recording device. I'm actually known to have an excellent speaking voice. (I'm pretty much just good public speaker in general.)Darkwing wrote:voice over
